Gary was fantastic!! He is a true & knowledgeable Mac professional. He was on time & was great to communicate with. Not only did he get my Mac humming like a song. He also did a few extra things for me like showing me how to back things up easier etc... at no extra charge. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing work on their Apple computers.

He was easy to schedule and on time. He wasn't as worried about the time spent with us as he was with fixing our problems. He was so easy, nice, cooperative, and knowledgeable. I would call him in a heartbeat! We're actually using him for another service as well. I was so impressed with him, so now I know who to call if I have any problems with my Mac.

Gary was very responsive and replied every of my e-mail promptly even before I had purchased the service. Once we set up the time, he showed up punctually . Gary was very knowledgeable about what he is doing and best of all, extremely patient with me since I am not at all sophisticated with technology. He tried to explain everything in as simple language as possible to make me understand what I am supposed to do. I am totally happy and satisfied with his service. I will definitely use and recommend him whenever possible.

After I dropped my computer it was barely held together by wires. I took it to Apple's Genius Bar and after a few hours I was told that they couldn't fix it and sent me on my way with the name of a business in Texas where I could send it in the hopes that they could recover my files. As always, I checked out Angie's List and was fortunate to find Gary Hayes, owner of In-home Technology Service. After explaining what had happened and listening to his background and incredible experience with all things computer, I felt reassured. My biggest fear was that I might lose the pictures of my beloved mother who had passed away. We met up in Portland and I immediately liked him, very friendly and professional. He took the computer and in 2 days, he called and told me EVERYTHING WAS RECOVERED!!! and transferred to the new Mac, including all my photos. I was shocked and so relieved. Now I needed to learn all of the new updates, which was almost like completely starting over and so we began that process. Too long of a story to delve into the details but may I say that Gary is also VERY patient. After getting everything onboard and teaching me what I needed to know, he said to call if I had any questions. Well, after accidentally undoing some of what he had completed and thinking I could fix it myself, I did more damage then good, and so I did call. From my home in Lake Oswego, I gave virtual control of my computer to him at his office in Vancouver and while talking on the phone, he not only fixed what I had undone, but provided more improvements. Long story I know but if there was such a thing as a 10 star rating, he deserves it. There isn't the least reason why you should not call with any problems computer and related. He is prompt, willing to meet somewhere convenient, professional, patient and I was shocked at how little he charges. Do yourself a favor. You will not find anyone better! At all.

Gary was punctual, efficient, and personable. He took his time to make sure that everything was in top working order, and explained some important facts to me. He was easy to talk to, and ask questions. I felt the cost was more than reasonable, and I would recommend him highly to anyone requiring technical services.

I will definitely call him when I need assistance in the future.

Fine, Didn't do much really. Checked a few things, told us our computers were in good condition, gave us some information about maintenance.

Bought an Angie's List Deal for a "complete MAC tune-up". Gary arrived exactly on time and was very personable and professional. I will definitely use him again and recommend him highly

Scheduling was smooth and they came to me to complete the work. He spent about an hour on the tune-up. He did a tune-up on my printer and cell phone as well. He gave me some very good feedback and installed some apps on the computer. Everything turned out good.

Over email, we determined I would need more memory to improve performance, and he helped me figure out exactly what to get so he could install it when he got here. In addition to my mac and wifi set-up, he looked at my ipad and laptop and gave me advice about the most cost-effect way to protect and upgrade my machines going forward. He was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and patient. I'm very happy with the service.

The service was very good. The guy was recommended to do some other things to the computer. I had done some of the stuff that he recommended. It wasn't paid to him, but just the big deal. The purchase went to him. He helped me with the computer and the guy was sitting there with him, pointing out all the things. He was very good at educating and providing some stuff. He was helpful at giving other information, just kind of bug what he could get to do. He was very good.

Gary is a certified Apple consultant - very skilled and knowledgable. Nice to get advice from someone who knows the product line but is not trying to sell you something.

It went very well. The guy who came out showed up right on time. He straightened up the computer and made some recommendations and based on some of his recommendations, I am upgrading the Mac like adding some memory to make the machine run quicker. He did a very good job. He was very professional, very outgoing and very easy to work with. He also did not charge me anything extra on top of the big deal. I would use him again. I kind of felt sorry that he could not get some commission off of some of the things that he was recommending that we could do to help with our computer and make it run quicker but he was very helpful.

We chose him, because he can work on MAC computers. I called him and he came the next day. All of my music disappeared and he was able to find the files and put them back on myself. I have even emailed him with other issues too and he lets me know how to fix them. He is wonderful and I would give him all the A pluses in the world.

This was a great experience. He was punctual, friendly, and very knowledgable. He explained a lot, answered all of my questions, and made some good recommendations. Even before the visit, he was very helpful and communicative over email to help me decide what I actually needed for my Mac. I will definitely contact him again for some upgrades to my tower.

Gary is very prodessional and knowledgable. He responds in a timely fashion to emails. He knows his technical stuff and pleasently resolves any issues that arise. I initially thought his hourly rate was a little steep, but found that he did not charge for our initial purchase planning (done by emaile), travel or followup wuestions. I also thought he got a great deal done in the three hours at my home.

Gary is extremely knowledgeable and patiently explained everything he did to speed up our desktop computer. He rid our computer of viruses and spyware and installed anti-virus software. As our old desktop is on its last legs, he made several helpful recommendations for replacement models and we will definitely call him to help us set up and protect our new computer. Gary is friendly, helpful and courteous and we would definitely recommend him to our friends and neighbors.

Gary responded within one day to my email message, was able to schedule within a week and arrived exactly when he said he would. Pleasant, helpful not at all patronizing. I will use him again and recommended him to a friend already.

The downloading took hours. He took the computer home overnight. He was very knowledgable, competent and a patient teacher. Really just what we were hoping for I would recommend him without reservation.

I read the other reviews and would heartily agree. Gary is a gift! Most importantly, he is entirely trustworthy-someone I happily welcome into my home and into my computer. He is a retired engineer and really knows all sorts of tech things. This includes all apple devices and the set up of entertainment systems. printers etc. Also he does not waste your time with unnecessary chatter but gets right to work . I love how he answers questions in a understandable way without making me feel stupid. If you later have follow up questions, he responds rapidly by email or text. He offers classes at Clark College on such topics as Intro to Mac, Ipad, Iphone and Iphoto among others. He is wonderfully patient and very responsive to student needs. After having had him at my house for 3 sessions. I made the comment that he is always punctual. His response:" I believe being on time is a way of showing respect." He definitely respects his customers and loves what he does!

He was great with resolving my wireless issues in my home. He used materials I already had to get the computers and other devices working so there was no material costs. It took about 2 hours and I've been very pleased with the connections I have in the home.

Arrived on time. Very professional. Answered all my questions and showed me a lot of cool stuff my new computer can do. Gave me lots of tips. Very personable. Would definitely recommend him and would use again.

He did a great job. He had his own software to do the cleanup and he also did several other things to re-calibrate our computer so that it functions better and more quickly.
