The Grout Doctor

Star arrived on time to do a quote, explained the options for the work, and she recommended a re-grout. The tile installation was over 14 years, and some areas did not need re-grouting. She said that she could re-grout the areas that were in the "splash line", which is exactly what we needed. We set a date and time, she arrived on time, and started the work. Using hand tools and some specially designed power tools, she removed all the old grout, and all the silicone caulk around the tub and the shower door. Vacuumed, cleaned, re-grouted all the areas, and sealed them. When she left she said not to use the shower for 48 hours while the grout cured. Result is WONDERFUL. Only wish we had done this earlier. It looks like the day it was installed. She matched the grout (a tough one, bone or biscuit color) perfectly. She gave us tips on how to keep it looking new, not just using a squeegy, but using a towel to dry it after a shower. I would (and will) use this company again, and recommend them to all family and friends. Nice to have a home service this professional, and proficient. They really know their stuff, will tell you the truth, and will be on-time and on-budget. My wife wrote the check, Star left, and shortly returned and knocked on the door. She had neglected to give us the $30 off for Angies list, so we wrote another check. How nice is that?

John was great. Very prompt for both the estimate appointment and when he showed up to do the job. Extremely professional. Completed the job in a timely manner and the floor looked new! The price was very reasonable. I will be quick to call them again if/when we need more work on our tile floor.

They were great. They were prompt and they knew what they were doing. The grout got cleaned. I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and I paid that amount, and that was it. The price was fair.

Star was running a little late but she let me know in advance which was great. She did the job quick and thoroughly and no-one can see where the grouting was removed and replace. We are extremely satisfied with her work.

He did a great job. Very professional, neat, orderly and efficient. The cracked tiles he replaced were a very close match despite the fact that ours were discontinued decades ago. I would use him again for any tile or grout work.

Outstanding. Very pleased. I put in a call for an estimate in early May and got a call back the next day setting the estimate for the next week. Star was right on time for the appointment. She quickly and efficiently inspected the shower and gave me two options: full regrout or just a shower touchup. She did not "push" either option, but we decided on the full regrout. I called and we set the work for about two weeks later. Star showed up today right on time and was done in just over three hours, as she and John had predicted. Again, she was very efficient. She kept the bathroom clean and neat. I had asked about the senior discount and that was quickly applied to my bill. The price seemed very reasonable (and significantly less expensive than a telephone estimate I was given by another Angie's List contractor). This is a very well run family business. I think you will be pleased with their work.

Star and Johnny arrived on time for the estimate and on job day. I really appreciated a written estimate up front, so I could get Star's opinion and quote before making my decision to have the job done and by them. They got right to work and in a little less than four hours later, the tub tiles looked new! What a big difference it made. They did an excellent job. We are so glad we did it.

They were able to come out soon after I had purchased the deal. The technician was fine and he worked hard. He was timely for the appointment. I had no real problems with the service and he did the job fine.

It was okay. It turned out good, but the next time we wouldn't purchase because the Big Deal did cover over 100 square feet, for example I think we only need 40 square feet depending probably on what is cheaper for us next time to go hire directly with someone else instead of buying a package. The interaction with the provider was fine, he was in a hurry to go to his next job so I wasn't sure how deep it was but it turned out okay.

All interaction with the company was pleasant and straightforward from the initial estimate to Star doing the work. The work and cleanup itself was done very professionally. My shower tile and glass block look great. I would not hesitate to refer this company to anyone who needs grout work done.

He came out to give my wife a friendly and professional estimate, and had the appointment scheduled on a day that worked for her a week later. The work was performed in under 2 hours, with no cleanup need on our part. Once the work was completed, we simply needed to wait a few days for the sealant to cure, and we started enjoying our new grout! Great job!

Just got down on his knees and scrubbed - I thought he'd have more technology, but his elbow grease did agreat job.

The whole process was very professional. We scheduled via email and they were flexible when I had to reschedule. The tile looked great when finished. I will definitely contact them for future jobs.

They were on time and professional, they laid a cloth down on top of the carpeted stairs to keep it clean from foot traffic. All the grout and tiles were cleaned, and grout sealed. Had to reset two tiles and installed new grout around 6 tiles. Tiles and grout look great, more then I expected from the cleaning. I will definitely use them again!!

That turned out pretty good and I would hire him again. He brought in the machine and it didn’t take him very long. He just went over the floor with the machine and it looked a lot better when it was done; no fuss I thought. He showed up on time and was professional and he had a good deal. All the dirt wasn’t removed but a fair bit was removed. It was a good price but it is not like the floor looks new.

Their estimate was very reasonable, so we hired them to do the job. They showed up on time and took a closer look to start the work. More tiles had come loose in the time since their original estimate. John found that the tiles were not adhered well to the thinset and most could be popped loose quite easily. His recommendation was that we pull up all of the tiles and reset them. I think that's the correct advice. If they did the repair on the tiles that are loose right now, other tiles may come loose in the future. Once the grout is installed it will be much more difficult to repair. Removing and resetting the entire 500 sq ft floor isn't the type of work that they do, so they couldn't do the job. I offered to pay them for the trip out and John said to just keep them in mind for the future. Very kind and professional. I would certainly recommend them!

Very responsive company. He was exactly on time, very courteous and the service was great. The shower looked like new again after they left. I was very pleased with this company and will use them again. I cannot remember how much we paid for the service, however, I remember we felt it was of high value for the price paid. I would highly recommend.

Returned my call the same day. I had tile damage in a shower that resulted in water damage to drywall. I offered to send photos, he instead dropped by the same day for a personal look. He was the only person I contacted who did that. Price was fair and work was done when he promised. Would recommend!

John and Star did a wonderful job. Initially, they came out to give an estimate and then returned to do the work. They were friendly, professional, and a total pleasure to work with. I also appreciate their direct and honest communication about what they could or could not do. I had hoped we could grout over discolored grouting in the shower, but given that it was epoxy, John indicated it would not work. Thus, we didn't proceed with that, but did go ahead with replacing the grout around the shower floor. They did a beautiful job and we have no hesitation in recommending them fully.
