The Grout Doctor

Quick turn-around on bid and job scheduling. Showed up when they said they would and performed the work. I wouldn't know a good grout sealing job from a bad one but they did thoroughly clean before the application. They also cut out an re-caulked the back-splash as part of the job. I'm Definitely a satisfied customer and recommend them. The price seemed reasonable too. (I got a crazy bid from another supposed "high-end" company that was 75% of the original cost of the tile install when I built the house!!!!)

Outstanding. They did a quick and clean job on time and the outcome was exactly what we hoped for.

They came out and reviewed my sight and then said they would provide an estimate. Never responded despite my follow up calls.

Star came and looked and gave us an estimate. She was able to return in less than a week to do the work. She arrived right on time. She was fast and efficient, but most importantly, she was meticulous in her work. She also cleans up after herself. Both the work in the bathroom and the kitchen looks perfect!

Showed up on time, looked good after they were finished. About three weeks later the grout came loose where about 80% of the repairs where. I called, they came back, but again three weeks later the grout came loose again. I have used them about 4 years earlier and the cost was over 50% less and the work was perfect.

My second job with them and I couldn't be happier with the work performed. The quality and customer service are second to none and I will be using him again on the next bathroom remodel.

John was on time to prepare the estimate. Star did the work and she was a star! She really knew what she was doing, explained the process & products used, did an amazing job (bathroom looks like new!) and cleaned up afterwards. She was professional and personable. Would highly recommend this company!

I gave an overall F for lack of response from this company. I first contacted this company March 9th to get an estimate for tile cleaning and grout repair. I waited a week and have emailed again. I doubt they will contact me now which is just fine because I would never use a company that has such poor customer service.

I purchased an Angie's List Deal from The Grout Doctor ($239 For Up To 66 Square Feet Of Tub Surround Cleaning & Sealing)...in order to re-caulk the seams between my marble-stone tub/shower enclosure slabs and the porcelain tub, in addition to re-sealing the stone. After exchanging messages back-and-forth on Wednesday, Sept. 23rd, it was decided to schedule the work on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at noon, which was one of the time slots that the provider was free to mark me down for the appointment. Come Tuesday Sept. 29th, I showed up before noon at the residence where the services were to be completed. For the next 40-50 minutes, I waited but no one showed up. Since my only contact with the provider had been via Angie's List and the appointment was scheduled less than a week ago, I didn't think it was necessary to confirm with The Grout Doctor prior to the appointment (and they didn't confirm with me, either). Finally, I had to return to work (this was on my lunch hour) and leave my wife to stay around in case someone showed up--I sent a message via Angie's List and the provider responded another hour afterwards. Apparently, there was a 'calendar snafu', as they put it, and my appointment was never added to their calendar. Later, we talked over the phone to re-schedule and they were really sincere and apologetic, but it had already been an annoying experience on my end. When the provider and I successfully met up, and I went over the details of what I wanted done, I found out that they don't actually clean or seal marble-stone. Unfortunately for me, this was a case of the deal not actually applying to tub surrounds of material different from tile, which I should've called about before making my purchase since I didn't think they wouldn't dabble in this type of care/maintenance. They offered to refund my purchase entirely at this point, but after I had gone to the trouble of traveling back-and-forth between work and the residence twice during my work day, I just wanted something done...We decided on re-caulking the areas where the porcelain tub meets the floor tiles, wall, and lower part of the marble-stone slabs of the tub enclosure, along with cleaning/sealing the grout and tiles of my kitchen counter-top. My wife stayed in her car while the work was done (1-2 hours), and when I examined the caulk work on the tub later that week, it looked good. As for the tile and grout cleaning/sealing of my kitchen counter-tops, I couldn't see much of a difference (but they looked good). So, overall, the price and professionalism leveled out to be fair, with some good work and responsiveness outside of missing the original appointment, which is where I knocked the grade down to a 'F' for punctuality since it was only due to my reminder message that the provider even realized that the first appointment was unscheduled and they missed it entirely.

I had initially thought they would need to re-grout, but was informed that was not actually necessary because he did not see any cracking or anything to worry about. He was super nice and thorough in explaining everything. I will definitively call teem again when it is tome to re-seal.

They were punctual and did a good job. We are very happy with the results.

My tub and tile were in bad shape and the representative took the service many steps farther than what my Angie's List Special asked for. She cleaned, added some grout where needed and caulked. That extra service has sold me on The Grout Doctor!

It went great. The grout was already in good shape but it was great to get it sealed!

Did not get grout as clean as I thought they would, other wise OK.

Everything from scheduling to completion went smoothly. Scheduled directly with the owner, who had replied promptly to my request through Angie's List, Small crew was friendly, efficient in use of their and my time and did a thorough job. Cleaned and sealed the tiles and grout - stays cleaner now.

The provider arrived on time. The provider first cleaned the tile and then put on coat of sealer down.

The Start family business are run by very responsible and considerate people! We are having guests over but they don't have time to fix everything, so they fixed part of the bathroom so that we can use it while our guests are staying. Kudos to them! The whole job is thoroughly done and we are very satisfied.

He arrived on time and worked diligently for 2 hours and 40 minutes. The work was very well done. The clean up was good as well.

I consider myself lucky that I didn't hire him.

He didn't do the bathroom, which he said he would do. He said he could do some repair work, which he didn't do.

The job was done well, on time and reasonable price.

We were underwhelmed by the results. It was definitely easier than doing it ourselves, and the price was right, but we were hoping for results that looked a bit more professional. We may just be unusually picky.

Quick response to request for an estimate. He was punctual, explained procedures and scheduled work within 2 weeks. They did tile re-grouting, tile re-caulking & also cleaned the shower pan in the master bathroom. Very pleased, all tile areas look new again.

They work hard and my shower area are clean and white.
