It was okay. He is good. I have nothing to complain about it. Their price was reasonable.

The technician was very personable, offered good tips on how to clean the tile myself, and did thorough cleanings in all areas. The tiles looked much better once he had finished.

The Grout Doctor did what I asked him to do. Just replace missing grout. I didn't want entire grout replaced and he was fine with that. He replaced, cleaned re caulked and sealed the shower area. Nice job. The only thing that would be a negative was he came 1/2 hour late to appt. I will definitely use him again!

Work was completed and it helped, but it didn't totally address the problem. I think they may have either hurried a little bit or just not been as thorough as I would have liked. To be fair some of the tile had grooves and natural spots for black grime to accumulate and it was a tough although not overwhelming job. But I wished there had been a better explanation of what was done (and not done) and a cleaner end product. Overall I was underwhelmed.

I have ceramic tile floors in my kitchen and dining room. Except for regular mopping, the floors and grout had not been cleaned for 19 years. The light brown ceramic colored grout was almost completely black. It was so consistent, people told me it looked like it was supposed to be that way. Knowing how it was supposed to look, it felt pretty gross to me. I got myself a little brush and took to the floor with Ajax. After about 5 hours, I only had 1/3 of the kitchen done and it was not as clean as I would have liked. So when I saw the Angie's List Big Deal for this service, I got it. The guy who came was friendly, got down on his hands and knees with a brush 10 times the size of mine. And within an hour or two, he had the whole floor clean and the grout was mostly back to its original light brown color. I was pretty impressed. And it was definitely worth the cost. I don't remember the actual cost - I just put down $150, but it might have been less. I would hire him again. Its been a couple years and the grout still looks pretty clean. I may have to call him about my bathroom walls...

They are the BEST- very professional! John was prompt at returning all my emails and calls. Star was on time a did a beautiful job in less time than I thought it would take. Pricing was reasonable too.

John and Star both worked on our job--John did the work in the kitchen, Star did the bathroom. Our kitchen floor had a section where the tiles were popping and the grout was breaking but the rest of the floor was good. John checked every floor tile, pulled up 15 tiles, showed us where that section had not been properly mortared, secured the subfloor, re-set the tiles and re-did the grout. Meanwhile, Star turned our dirty bathroom floor with stained grout into a dean, gorgeous, like-new surface again. They showed up right on time, worked efficiently, and did a great job. They were also great with our animals (dog and multiple cats). We would definitely use them again.

It went great. John was friendly, returned calls and emails promptly, and answered all of our questions. He showed up on time and completed the job sooner than estimated. Price was right and he stuck to it, even though there were a couple things he found needed to be done along the way. Small, but these can add up. Overall, very happy with the service and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone. This was our first job contracted through Angie's List and it was worth it.

Star did the work for us and she did a terrific job. The shower looks better than it ever has and the kitchen counter and bath floor also looked terrific. This company offered a great combination of high quality and reasonable price. I recommend them for anyone needing to spiff up tile surfaces.

John arrived on time and went right to work. The glass tiles and grout were heavily stained and it was not an easy job. The slate shower needed some grout repair, but was not so heavily stained. It took John several hours. I did not oversee his work so I assume that the repair and sealing of the tiles and grout was completed as described. When John was ready to leave, I noticed that the white grout on some areas of the glass tile were sort of grey but John assured me they would dry white. They did not. I was satisfied with the slate shower but a bit disappointed with the glass tiled shower. It also surprised me that he did not clean the clear glass shower doors. I thought the entire shower would be cleaned. It is an expensive process given that the final result was only marginally better than what I had been able to accomplish myself. I would not pay to have it done again.

Fine. The grout was cleaned with brute force and a toothbrush. No harsh chemical just someone doing the scrub work that I didn't want to do. Although he stayed for quite some time and so the per hour cost was very cheap, you have to want clean grout since it's a fair amount of money to spend.

Thank you, John and Star! My counters and floors look amazing! I needed my grout re-sealed in my shower stall and I wanted grout repair on some of the granite tiles in my kitchen. Additionally, I wanted the grout on my bathroom floor and entryway floor to be stained to better match the tile for a more congruent look. Star came out and provided an estimate to repair grout, clean and reseal as well as stain the grout in my bathroom and entryway. The estimate was spot-on and I couldn?t have asked for a better job. John and Star provided a MORE than fair price for the work. I had another estimate that would have charged me the same price but for ONLY grout staining. Star even re-caulked the bathtub to match the tub area so my bathroom shower stall is sealed properly. Star arrived on time for estimate and for work performed. She?s a one-gal show and I?m truly impressed with her ability to get the job done. John and Star were great, they spent about 5 hours in my home to accomplish the job. They took special care of my marble and stone and the master shower looks like new!

He was a great guy! Boy, he worked hard! That guy just put his shoulder into it. Got right to it. He was punctual with a good stand up personality. He had a maximum in terms of the square footage but quite frankly - I just know him, it's like you meet a guy you know him real well even if it's 10 seconds - he wouldn't have counted like, "Oh! it's another 10 sq. ft or another 20 sq. ft." It didn't matter to him. He was just going to go in. You just show where you want the work and he was going to do it. There was no extra cost beyond the big deal amount.

I contacted The Grout Doctor, left a message and received a prompt return call. We scheduled an estimate. Star was prompt for the estimate and gave me a very reasonable bid for the scope of the work. She was very knowledgeable and clearly experienced. She was even willing to do some extra tile work that I never got around to do...We scheduled the work and Star arrived on time, as scheduled. She completed the work exactly as specified and did a fantastic job. Our showers look as good as new!
