The bracket connecting the opening mechanism to the garage door was torn out of the door, and I was surprised to see how weak this connection actually was... Danny called me almost immediately after my quote request, and then did a great job: he installed a new bracket, and it looks very reliable and safe. My door is better than new now! Thank you!

I noticed a bolt had fallen from one of the ceiling mounting brackets for my garage door track, so I arranged for an inspection and tune-up for the garage door. The technician quickly recognized that the bolt had fallen out because the spring on the garage door was incorrect and the garage door was not balanced correctly. He replaced the spring, all the bearing plates, and the rollers on my door to fix the issue. The technician was friendly, explained the findings and recommendations clearly, and performed the work quickly and correctly. The garage door now works much better. I couldn't be happier. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to others.

Danny installed the new opener promptly, after explaining my options and not trying to up-sell me on something I didn't need. He also did a tune-up on the garage door itself and it glides much better now. No service fee was charged, which is different than most companies. Danny will be the first person I call if/when I need more service.

Danny came within an hour of my phone call, even though we'd been pounded with snow. He was professional and went over all my options. He was excellent to work with. He had everything needed for the repair on his truck. Danny let me know this was not the best fix, but was the best for now based on my budget. My 6+-years-old garage door opener inexplicably started an intermittent 'beep', which concerned me. I found Lake Washington Garage Door service on Angie's List. I was impressed with all the positive reviews for the company, and I am writing to add my own. I called and left a message and Danny called the next morning to arrange a service call that day. He even took time to call near the time we scheduled to ask if I wanted to have him stop the previous service call he was currently working on, drive to the house, and then return to finish the previous job just to be able to commit to the time we agreed. It was fine for myself to wait until he finished the first job, and he was at the house within about 90 minutes. His extra care in making sure a customer has all the information is a key component in my review. He was able to determine the cause of the beep as a depleted backup battery that was included in original installation. He said unless I had an overriding need to replace it, an expensive prospect, he recommended against the option to replace. He tested all functions and made a recommendation to replace wheels with more substantial ones, which will likely add years to overall function not to mention a quieter movement. His explanations were clear and detailed. He also replaced overhead lights with new bulbs I had on hand and secured the inside wall opener which had loosened. All told the service and parts cost less than $200. I am very happy with the outcome and his commitment to customer service. I now have a reliable service company to perform an annual check to ensure smooth running of one of my most used devices, yet one I had taken for granted. Rating A+ in all categories.

I was very flustered because our garage door opener stopped working 10 days ago and this is our usual mode of entrance into our house. I had an existing appointment with another company that was made 10 days ago and the morning of the appointment, that company cancelled abruptly. I found Danny on Angie's List and not only was he very nice on the phone, he would be able to fit me in that day to diagnose our problem. We evidently needed a new garage door opener - but he did give us the pros and cons of fixing it and making our existing garage door opener work or replacing it with a new one. He did this WITHOUT any hard selling and was honest and open about our problem. He is truly an expert and knows his garage doors and everything surrounding it! I highly recommend him and will pass his name along to everyone I know!

Had Danny of Lake Washington Garage Door Service replace two sections of a failed, aging garage door, and install a quieter garage door opener. Danny is the business owner, and while his was not the least expensive bid we received (usually my number one consideration), after talking with him in my garage, I had the impression that he would strive for a quality installation. We agreed on a final price, and I have to say that Danny did provide a real quality installation. He was able to do the work in a very timely manner, which was a big deal as our door was really non-functional, practically speaking. He provided reinforcement where he felt it needed it on the door itself, and even beefed-up, and fabricated, the bracket holding the new opener. The new door & opener are so quiet in comparison to our old unit that often those in the house aren’t even aware the door has been opened/closed. Should have replaced that opener years ago! Danny was personable, knows his stuff and was able to provide lots of useful information about garage doors and getting the longest life out of them.

I had an outdated overhead opener and it needed to be replaced. There was a clearance problem for the new opener and it was solved by my installer. The solution was to use an opener that operates at the side of the door. The new opener was ordered and installed as quickly as possible. I was very satisfied.

Danny was on-time. He suggested replacement of additional door hardware (rollers and bearings) to prolong life, which I accepted. Installation of opener and other parts done in about 2 hours. Danny was professional and thorough and on completion spent time going over operation of opener (new openers have many more features than previously.....auto close after pre-set time, etc). Overall very pleased with results.

It went great. I called first thing in the morning and the owner, Danny, said he could come out the same day. He phoned me when he was on his way and arrived promptly. After checking out the door I was given various options to resolve the problem. He offered an inexpensive fix, and also told me of the advantages of upgrading the rollers and/or the motor. The prices seemed reasonable from what I know of what other people have spent for similar repairs. And the quality of what was offered seemed very good and seemed like a good upgrade. I decided to have all the work done rather than the less expensive options and then still have to deal with the rest at a later time. Everything was done quickly and it all works great. And he was very pleasant to deal with. Highly recommended.
