Description of Work: Scott installed white rails with glass inserts for our new, moderately large deck in July of 2012. He did a fine job, good quality materials, and we've had no problems until a neighbor broke one of the inserts when a rock flew up from his riding mower. We called Scott to replace the glass which he did, but it took a while for him to get around to it. We are considering using this company again for an upper deck that needs waterproofing and rails, but the high cost and uneven communication are some things we have to consider. However, I would have no problem recommending Scott and his company for workmanship and products used.

 + -1 moreThis turned out to be a bigger job than Scott first imagined - nevertheless they stayed "on task" and finished at the estimate price - did not try to cut corners or anything like that. The men were professional in every way, and remodeled the deck flooring into better-than-new condition.
Description of Work: We have 2 decks on upper levels - they were both having drainage and leak problems. Scott completely ripped out the floors of the decks, re-graded them, installed new drains, and new waterproof membranes.

He and the men working for him were very knowledgeable and skilled, did superior work, and finished within the time frame they established. He closely supervised the work and the detail was excellent. The results are better than we expected.
Description of Work: Resurfacing of deck with Duradeck membrane and putting down new subfloor and bracing some posts.

 + -1 moreScott and his team were fantastic. He showed up on time weeks earlier to provide a comprehensive estimate. the team showed up on time to do the work, and finished in a single day. Scott was very responsive throughout the project, and was willing to accommodate special requests. This is a small deck, but there was considerable work involved, including removing and reinstalling rails, siding and a door. The attention to detail was above and beyond!
Description of Work: Scott and his team waterproofed our 100 sq ft deck/roof with Duradek.

 + 0 moreScott's first bid was a bit too high for our budget. However, when we asked him to trim it to fit our budget, he was willing to do so, giving us an acceptable bid and a beautiful deck. We have a large (800+ sqft) wrap around deck which was over 20 years old. No one wanted to venture out and few dared to climb the shaky stairs. We now have a showcase deck that we will enjoy for many years. What I really appreciated about Scott was his honest assessment of the existing deck. He told us that the basic understructure of the deck was fine and all we needed to replace was the rotting plywood and vinyl.
Description of Work: Waterproof Deck tore down the top portion of an old wooden deck replacing plywood, installing Duradek vinyl, aluminum railing and replacing two sets of rickety wooden stairs with attractive, safe concrete aggregate steps.

 + -1 more5/22/2008: Left Message. 5/22/2008: Scott called back an hour later and I've got an appointment to talk with him tomorrow. 5/23/2008: Called to say he'd be late. Pleasant. Sounded like he was trying to save me some money. Didn't seem quite as creative/polished as other contractors. 6/23 : Haven't heard back from him. 7/8 : I called to follow up. He said that he got busy and figured he'd lost the opportunity. Said he'd put a bid together. 7/18: no response.
Description of Work: Met with them to get a bid, they couldn't deliver.

 + 0 moreScott was quick to return my call and provide a bid. His bid covered all the details of the project. My project required one full width section and a narrower (about 3 ft) section. Scott found a narrow piece from a previous job he could use instead of a full width piece. That saved me $300. I'm very satisfied with the work. It looks great and only took a day and a half to install. In addition to the roofing and decking, Scott does railing installations. I'll be getting a bid from him on my railings.
Description of Work: Put 60 mil vinyl covering on a 160 sq ft flat roof. The product is made by Duradek and is available in a variety of colors.
