Description of Work: Secured multiple bids and we by far had the most confidence in Washington Electric to purchase install a standby generator for our home. There was no real comparison - they were so far superior. We paid a slight premium, but from my perspective that was money well spent. The installation and finished product did not disappoint.

Description of Work: Routine Maintenance. Easy to schedule. Professional service. No drama a all. I recommend and would use again. Only gripe and it is a small one, In order to use the Angie discount I needed to present the coupon at time of service. I think this should be noted in their admin systems so I don't need to hold onto a coupon for weeks. I solved it by taping the coupon inside the generator cover so It didn't pose much of an issue, but I still think it would be a service plus to eliminate that step. All in all... these guys are fantastic.

I would definitly use the company again for other electric related problems. Overall it's been a very very pleasant experience, very helpful! I used the promotion from their website (which is a very good deal). They are also very good with responding emails and phone calls!

Description of Work: Replaced old aluminum wiring for existing hot tub connection with copper wiring. Additional work was suggested to secure wiring to house (where existing connection wasn't secured) at a nominal increase in cost and we decided to have that done as well.

+ -1 moreThe manual transfer passed with flying colors by the county inspector, and I had the wonderful opportunity to use my generator this year during the snow and ice storms. I ended up calling Washington Electric and left a message for Eric to call me just to make sure I was following the steps he provided on the inside of my electrical box. Eric was so responsive and called back within 20 minutes, and walked me through the list on my panel box. It was so nice just having to plug the generator into a plug on the side of the house and choose which items I wanted turned on in the house (heat and the well pump being number one on the list). I will be using them again and have recommended them to friends and family. A++++++++
Description of Work: I hired Washington Electric to install a manual transfer switch for my home so that I could run it on a generator when the power went out. Eric was great, quick, professional and knowledgeable. Eric also installed an outside light for me, and some GFI's in the house.

+ -1 moreEric & Luis did a great job. Eric was on time and we walked him through the laundry list of things we wanted done. He gave us a fair quote and we asked him to do the work on the spot. Luis came in the mid-afternoon to help given the amount of things we wanted done. They were both highly professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with.
Description of Work: Eric & Luis performed a number of repairs and fixes on the electrical items in a house we recently purchased, including hanging two new chandeliers on 20 foot high ceilings, replacing exterior lights, replacing bathroom fans, removing and replacing an outdated hanging kitchen light, adding a motion sensor in our garage that turns on the light when we open the door from the house to the garage.

+ -1 moreI requested a call on Saturday, and that was returned within a couple of hours by the owner. The person who was to do the work called at the appointed time, we set a time for the work to be done (a day earlier than expected!), he arrived, listened, asked good questions, gave a ball park bid for a larger job we may do later, and got to work. All was finished and cleaned up in an hour.
Description of Work: Our house is about 25 years old and has 25 year old problems. A number of outlets that were loose, broken or pulling from the wall, an outside light fixture that no longer worked, etc. Eric was prompt in returning the e-mail and phone message, and Luis who did the work was knowledgeable, courteous and did a terrific job. Sometime in the past a bookcase was built in over two of the outlets with very little clearance, making the work harder than would normally be. Luis was able to repair them without having to cut a portion of the bookshelf out (which he had my permission to do if necessary). All in all a great experience. This company is to be commended!

+ -1 moreHe replaced the broken outlet with one that meets current safety building codes and I had him replace a couple of other outdoor outlets also. The cost included 1 1/2 hours of labor and parts (although he charges by the job item, not by parts and labor). He was professional, personable, and doesn't charge extra for coming out after normal business hours. Additionally, he replaced some of the indoor outlets, too, just because he thought they looked worn, and there was no extra charge. Great service!
Description of Work: A circuit breaker was tripped and the broken outlet had to be located. Eric Johnson, electrician, checked numerous outlets on the circuit, both in and outside of the house until he found the problem.

+ -1 moreI put out an electronic bid for the work at 5:30PM. Eric called me back in less than 5 minutes with a quote and indicated he could be out the next day before noon. He then came out early the next day (after calling to make sure it was ok), assessed the problem and fixed it, in about 1 hour. He was fast, knowledgeable, professional, and load tested the outlets to make sure the job was done right. I will use him again if needed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
Description of Work: Had a GFI outlet that was making several other outlets not work and that was tripping the breaker.
