Signature Window & Door Replacement

Working with Signature Windows was like hitting a home run. It was an easy and rewarding experience from start to finish. Randy provided many options for me to choose from and helped me select windows that fit my needs and my budget. Simon and Kevin did a very professional job installing the windows. They arrived on time and cleaned everything up when they were finished. The windows look great and have given my house a whole new look.

On time and efficient. Work was completed with minimal disruption to household routine considering scope of job. Co-owner Randy Lucas was helpful in advising on best product to use. We are very pleased with the overall results!

Yuri and Andre spent 2 days at our home removing the old aluminum windows and installing new Simonton doors. Yuri did a fantastic job with the trim and install and even fixed a door that was improperly installed. Yuri thought about different options and asked me what my preference was and even got thicker wood for the trim as our doors had to be out further from the house due to the concrete foundation. This improved the look of the install tremendously. I have had a lot of workers in my homes over the years and have done many projects large and small and Yuri and Andre cleaned up after themselves better than any workers I have ever had. I can't speak highly enough of the fantastic job.

It was excellent. They were a few little glitches but they came out and fixed them. They were excellent. I was impressed with them from beginning to end. They were helpful and receptive.

When I moved into this 1945 house, the 1st floor windows had already been replaced with vinyl but 2nd story windows still were very drafty aluminum. Unlike other companies, Signature did not try to convince me to replace the 1st story windows (they look and work fine) or to put in higher grade windows upstairs. Actually, the opposite. Randy had samples of several brands and styles for me to choose and was very knowledgeable about the pros and cons of each. Signature's bid was nearly a couple thousand less than the next bid (and only a few hundred more than an unbonded solo guy recommended by a friend). The crew was polite, knowledgeable, professional and on time. They did a great job on the moldings and cleaned up so well, I wouldn't even know they'd been here except right now I'm looking out at the lake; a view I didn't have before. And that I have Randy to thank for. I planned to enlarge the window but he talked me into enlarging it an additional few inches - which makes all the difference in terms of the view. The only problem, if you can call it that, was in notifying me of the install dates. After I gave my down payment, the next step was for someone to come measure the windows from the outside. Then the windows would be ordered and the appointment set. I didn't know when or if the guy came so I just waited. No one called. Finally, I called and set the appointment. I found that the windows had already been ordered so I'm not sure what the problem was in letting me know and setting the appointment. But before and after, everything went smoothly.

They showed up on time. The job was done professional and very quickly. They did all the cleaning up behind themselves. The windows seem to be put in fine because they are working great. I would recommend this company to anyone because they are great.

From the very beginning our experience with Signature was positive. Grant steered us in the right direction to make our project turn out as best it could. Signature pointed us towards CDI windows who matched our unusual grid pattern exactly. They even caulked a few sections of trim that had nothing to do with the window replacement. They missed a window on the original bid and still replaced it with no additional cost to us. Simply they did a great job and I couldn't have asked for any thing more.

We had six companies come out and bid on replacing the windows. Randy Lucas of Signature Window Replacement was the ONLY sales person who looked at this and had the right ideas for how to make it all work architecturally. The other companies may have had good products and good installers, but they seemed limited to ordering straight out of the catalog with standard window configurations and grids (full-grid, half-grid, perimeter grid), and weren t able to come up with how to make a good grid pattern and design from scratch in order to tie the two main windows together architecturally. Randy designed the windows with specific grid dimensions to make it look just right. Again, five other very reputable and highly rated companies weren t able to figure this out no matter how much time their sales person spent with us; Signature Window Replacement came up with the perfect solution in just minutes. That knowledge of exactly what window was best for us and the solution of how to lay it out architecturally was what sold us. Signature Window Replacement bid the job on a Wednesday, and we signed the contract on Thursday. The installation team came on Friday to do detailed measurements. They ordered the windows on the following Monday, and then two days later they told us the windows would be in and we could schedule the job two weeks after that. The installation team was back at 9:00AM sharp on the first day as scheduled, and completed the work in exactly 3 days just as they had said. Amazing! 3 weeks start to finish complete without a hitch. We couldn t believe it! The install team was Yuri and Andre. Yuri was meticulous about measurements and planning, figuring exactly how much to set back the window into the frame and sill in order to look right and to not conflict with the existing blinds. The old existing exterior trim was horrible from the original aluminum window install, so we had Yuri re-trim the windows with a new craftsman style trim with 1x4, a back band, and sill. We very much enjoyed and appreciated working with Yuri and Andre. They worked very hard, asked all the right questions to make sure of exactly what we wanted with the trim and how to make it look right. The installation was flawless and the craftsmanship is top notch. Signature s bid was just below the average of our six bids (bids ranged from $5300 to $9100). Considering that nobody else had as good of a solution for the window design, the top quality of the work, the excellent customer service and accurate (and fast!) scheduling, we believe this was a truly excellent value! I would use Signature Window Replacement again without question, and have already recommended them to several of our neighbors and friends.

We welcomed Grant Neiss to our home twice-bid #1 6 months ago and then visit #2 to purchase the windows. Grant demonstrates excellent product knowledge, interpersonal skills and ability to connect with the customer. The bid is good for 6 months - when we were ready. When we were ready - the price had actually gone down by $2000. Grant always responded to our calls and came to appointments on time. Our family referred us to this company - we did get other bids and we ended up going with them - because of family recommendation, my research with the BBB and here on Angie's list. The major selling point was my husband and I liked Grant - my dogs and kids liked Grant - my dog actually freaked over some of the salesmen. We were on the schedule for the job within a month or less, they showed up and completed as scheduled. One of our windows did not have a screen - that was mailed to us promptly. We also had two windows that had forgotten to be caulked - again promptly came over to do within a day or two. We had Simon's crew do the install. They did a great job - even our painter commented on the install job and how good it was. Some concerns - we read the customer responsibilities and did everything on there. We were not prepared for how dusty everything was - even though they had plastic up which they stapled in to our walls. The only thing that bothered me was the dust and the staples & small holes left in my walls. I wasn't prepared for that. The other thing which I didn't have them re-do, was the front cedar re-do wasn't exactly like I wanted - I could see why they did what they did and I don't hate it, but it was exactly what I asked for. I chose not to have them come back - like I said I liked what was done. Great company - I would hire them again!

We talked to three companies about windows, one of which wouldn't even bid the job. Paul Holt from Signature said they had done this before, knew how to do it and then gave us a reasonable bid. Yuri and Andrey worked for two days on the job, doing a clean, professional job. Yuri and I had lots of conversation about details and planning how best to frame out the bottom of the window to blend in with our new countertop (our next project you'll see on Angie's list). I have nothing but nice things to say about how the project went. Other comments: Paul was the sales person and was professional, knowledgeable, and not at all pushy. The opposite, in fact, of one of the other window companies we talked to. They fit into our scheduling requirements.

We are very pleased with the new windows and doors. This company was a pleasure to work with. We met first with Grant Neiss, an owner of the company, for the estimate and to choose the products we wanted. He is very knowledgeable and helpful, taking as much time as necessary to answer our questions. Communication is excellent. The installation crew showed up as scheduled. They worked efficiently and completed the work as scheduled. Clean-up was very good. There were a few odd problems along the way but they were handled professionally and promptly. I contacted the company about some minor things after the installation was complete and they immediately scheduled someone to come take care of things.

The end result was spectacular. We were amazed at the positive change in the look and feel of our home. I am tremendously impressed with the customer service of the entire organization. I've already referred family, friends and neighbors, something I am usually hesitant to do. I would not hesitate to call on them again, should the need arise.

Our intent was to replace only the 2nd floor aluminum windows with fiberglass. We have a unique brick and wood siding home, remodeled a couple of times in the past. After extensive research, we met with 4 window companies. Randy Lucas with Signature Windows was our 4th appointment. He provided information that other window companies did not, including explaining how a fiberglass window might not be the best alternative. We found they would reduce the amount of glass and would not be the best fit for our existing window openings. He suggested Simonton vinyl windows. Based on his recommendation and price, we decided to replace all of our existing windows, both 1st and 2nd floors. Simon was in charge of our project. He treated our home as if it was his own. The project was finished in 4 days as promised. We could not be more pleased with the final results. Randy's recommendation of the Simonton windows was right on. They enhance the look of our house, both inside and out.

They were excellent to work with, met all their deadlines, and had a great final product. Randy, the guy I worked, with was super nice, helpful and responsive. Would definitely use them again.

Randy (the owner) came out to give an estimate and when I told him what I was thinking of, he told me right away that that wouldn't look right, and then discussed different options with me until we came up with something that I liked and that he assured me would look right with my home's architecture. It was very refreshing to have the benefit of someone's aesthetic expertise, who actually knows about windows, so much so, that I asked his opinion on a backyard project I was doing, which he was glad to provide. Later on I added the bedroom window to the order, then I scheduled the work for January, then decided to push the work up a few weeks. All of my changes were handled without any glitches at all. The windows were installed on the scheduled day and everything was left neat as a pin. Randy made the right call and the windows are awesome.

They were attentive, showed up on time, met their obligations and all in all I was happy with their work. They followed up with their work and even sent me a Christmas card! They seem to be reasonably priced and I was really happy with the work they did.

Randy Lucas (the owner) came out to look at the windows and provide an estimate for the work. He built trust through advising me on ways to reduce the expense and by putting his best price forward right from the start. The estimate was far lower than any other estimates I had received. I was buying during the end of the summer, so the install was about 4 weeks later. Jerry led the install and was very dedicated to providing high quality work and keeping the work areas clean. One piece of glass was broken during the install (appeared to be flawed from the manufacturer) and two screens had tiny flaws. Simon came out a couple weeks later when the replacement glass arrived and installed the glass and re-screened the ones with flaws. I was very impressed with the team at Signature and would highly recommend them for window/door replacement!

Wow! What a fantastic job! And the price was incredibly reasonable compared to estimates from other companies. Yuri and his sidekick worked fast and well together. It was a two-day job, due to the nature of the door replacement. At one point, Yuri said they would be done in an hour and I could not imagine how they would get everything cleaned up in that time. But lo and behold, they did! The workmanship was excellent and even better than what was in the house originally. Plus, Randy, Yuri, Oksana and others in the company were easy to work with. I plan to have them come back to replace the rest of my windows that are in need.

They seem very courteous and prompt. They did return phone calls. The only problem I had was on one curtain. They tried to put in the window without totally taking it down and the curtain has never been quite the same. Otherwise, they were great!

They actually returned my calls - which was refreshing. Got a couple other bids but they were the best and most professional. One window was huge (45 square feet and other two were about 20 square feet).

After a year of research, quotes from five companies (some ridiculously high quotes like Statewide/Penguin), and arming myself with all the knowledge I could about vinyl window replacement, NFRC ratings, etc., we selected Signature Windows. The quote was detailed and listed a price for each window; the install teams have been with the company for many years; and the quote specified the exact window to be installed. Simon and his team were our install crew. Communication was topnotch. They were meticulous in their work and cleanup, went to three stores to find enough of the interior trim we wanted, and also framed the windows very nicely on the outside. The project took four days, and they were most-professional in approach. We are very happy with the results; our new bay window is beautiful, and the new opening in the living room brightens the whole room up, and adds a wonderful view. We are very impressed with our window install, and the rigorous research we did paid off.

Randy was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. On his laptop, he showed me pictures of interior windows with trim, so I could get an idea of how the replacement windows would look. He also suggested enlarging the opening of a couple windows which really transformed the room.

THEY DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB. THEY REPLAVED OUR HORABLE OLD WINDOWS, AND WE GOT OUR NEW ONES INSTALED, THEY DID A GREAT JOB AND I HIGHLY RECOMEND THEM!
