Signature Window & Door Replacement

We chose Signature because they were the most responsive to our remodel schedule, which required that one window be installed a few weeks before the rest. Signature also provided pre-painted window trim. Their bid was a little more than the the lowest bid, but their service was worth the difference. The work was done professionally and on schedule. The installation team was very hard working and cooperative. They even helped us with removal and reinstallation of the windwow blinds ( which was much appreciated ).

The sales person showed us several window options and explained some of the benefits of the windows as well as all of the current rebates we were eligible for. He was very knowledgable, thorough and professional. The only issue came the day the installation was to be done. The windows were not at the warehouse when the installers went to pick them up in the morning. The sales person called and explained that the office manager had done her job to get the windows released for delivery, but somehow that had not happened. There was obviously a communication error between Signature and the window manufacturer. Randy was very apologetic and could not say enough how sorry he was. We know that mistakes happen and though it was unfortunate as we had already removed all of the window coverings, we did appreciate the very sincere apology. The install was re-scheduled for 2 weeks later. The day of installation went smoothly - in the pouring rain the first day. The installation guys were very friendly and professional. We were very comfortable leaving them in our home to finish up the installation the second day. They cleaned up behind themselves and did a good job on the window installation. Of course, as guys, the clean up in certain areas was not quite as meticulous as we women clean our homes. We would highly recommend this company and use them again if the need arose.

It went quite well. Simon, Kevin and Chris came to install the fiberglass windows. All of them are great guys! They just worked, worked and worked. Although they took some small breaks to regroup their strength, they didn't even take time to have lunch. It was quite obvious that they pushed themselves to do a good job. I bothered them with tons of questions and none of them showed any impatience at all ! So I decided to get them something to eat during lunch time. The end result is so good. Only 2 or 3 days after the work was finished, a major snow storm hit Seattle. We felt so warm and comfortable with the newly installed windows protecting us. It's now 9 months after the completion of the job, we still love the sight of our new windows. All of us used their service should upload pictures and be able to update year after year showing how well their work hold up, and I believe all of them have long lasting value.

I thought Grant was great but his installer, Yuriy was fantastic. What a craftsman! Yuriy took his time and did not rush the job. He had it completed in two days with one helper. You can tell Yuriy has installed a lot of windows, he sure did a tremendous job. I can't believe how lucky I was getting him for the installer. *****UPDATE****** 12-01-12 I told a friend about how happy I had been with this company and installers. My friend had his windows replaced with Signature Windows. A few weeks later I received a $50 gift certificate for dinner at a restaurant of my choosing. Wow, Thanks Signature!!! Also, It's been three years since my install and the windows still look brand new.

They do very high quality work. They replaced windows in my mother?s home and they did a phenomenal job. It looks fabulous. My dad could not be happier.

Simon and Kevin did a terrific job. They came when they said they would, were very professional, obviously knew what they were doing, and the windows look great. They cleaned up when finished, even after the first day. Every thing went just like they had estimated it would. Randy Lucas, the head of the company, did a good job of estimating and letting us know when it would be done. He checked in when the work was underway. Everything went off without a hitch. The windows are installed in a house built in the mid 1920s and we were concerned that new windows would not match the character and style of an older house. However it is hard to tell which of the windows are new and which are the older windows, except the new windows look a whole lot better and actually open.

Everything went very well through the process. Signature staff are true professionals. We met with Randy several times to learn about various window options. He always got back to us promptly when we changed our minds about various parts of the order. He let us take our time to make up our minds. It took 5 weeks from ordering to having the windows installed. Simon and Kevin installed 12 windows in 8 rooms and were very professional and pleasant to have in our home. Simon replaced the picture window sill with fir. We had replaced this window previously and Signature diagnosed the reason it kept failing - a sill with a dip in it. A previous window company had just installed another window without solving the problem. We highly recommend Signature.

Overall our experience with Randy and the rest of the Signature crew went really well. Randy consulted with us on several different options for window replacement, including different brands of windows, different types of frames, glass, etc. He came to our house three different times to discuss our options before we signed any papers or ordered any windows. We never felt pressured or rushed to make decisions or committments. Randy let us know that he wanted our business, but he did so in a very professional way, by providing good service and being very responsive. The installation crew was also very good. They arrived on time and were friendly and professional. They cleaned up after themselves for the most part (there were some nails in the yard and sawdust on the floors, but I don't think there's any way to avoid this no matter how tidy you are.) The installation team did very good work. The windows all appear very well installed, and so far we have had no problems with opening/closing any of the windows or doors. Price-wise, we also felt we got a good deal from Signature. We had one other quote for our project which was about $10,000 higher than Randy's quote. We were able to finance our project through a bank that Signature works with, and Randy helped us set that up. Signature Window Replacement is a good company that really values it's customers and customer reviews. They will work hard to make sure that you are 100% happy.

Excellent. Randy (owner) was very informative about our options and helpful with selection of a product that would work well for our 1917 house. He also helped us figure out how to maximize the tax rebates. He showed us multiple examples in his showroom and knew the products like an expert. The installers were professional, timely and tidy. I had them use my own vacuum with a HEPA filter, though. We had one glitch with the payment. Since everything else had gone so well, I wasn't worried, and sure enough, Randy went way out of his way to correct it. We got bids from 2 other companies. Signature was somewhat lower than the others in terms of cost. We selected them because of their familiarity with the products we wanted and their customer service. They seemed to have more flexibility in terms of the product lines, so they could help us find the one that best met our needs (not that they like to work with) It was one of the best choices we've ever made in the home improvement realm. We felt very comfortable working with them.

The things I learned while buying new windows for our home WILL help the rest of you avoid much anger and frustration. My wife considers me obsessive, especially when it comes to major home improvement projects. As such I did my research and then contacted 5 window companies. Two of the companies were referrals from friends, two from Angie?s list and one my wife roped me into because the door to door solicitor was such a nice young man. The door to door company was eliminated quickly when my BBB background check discovered they had lost their BBB accreditation. The other four were all companies that are lower profile meaning they don?t do a lot of advertising. Advertising costs money and the consumer is ultimately the one who pays for it. The first three sales reps, I have to say, were all very good salesmen showing me similar products that would require the sills around the windows be cut back to accommodate the thickness of the new windows. So by the time the last of my companies came to visit I was under the impression that cutting the window sills was a necessary evil. Enter Randy Lucas from Signature Windows Inc. Randy proceeds to show me a product that is a direct trade out from my existing aluminum frame windows. I was shocked!!!! Randy wouldn?t speculate as to the reasons other companies hadn?t shown me a similar product and I know that at least one of those companies claimed to be carrying the same line!! The kicker to choosing the direct trade out window was that because it requires less labor to install the resulting cost for my 23 windows, of which more than half are larger than 36 x 48, and 3 large sliding glass doors, came in 6000 dollars below the next closest bid. To say I was surprised is an understatement. I thought there had to be something off about this. I verified with Randy that he hadn?t screwed up and he assured me he hadn?t. I looked into claims by other companies that the frames wouldn?t be strong enough to hold the glass. After extensive research I determined there was not a shred of evidence to support those claims. When vinyl windows were introduced over 20 years ago there were some instances of sagging many due to improper installation and the others due to a lack of structural design in the frame interior. Needless to say the vinyl window industry, given how lucrative the industry is, has resolved those problems. In your discussion with window companies you will almost always be shown cross section cutaways of the frames interior. You will see the complex interlocking chamber design that has given modern vinyl windows dramatically stronger structural characteristics. I did end up selecting Signature Windows and the ordering and installation occurred within a month of my selection. The installation of the windows was preformed by Simon and Kevin both guys gentlemen who were considerate of my disabled son and very detail oriented in the installation and finishing of the windows. Our front room windows were old, drafty, and surrounded by rotting wood. Every winter my husband would have to go out and wrap that portion of the house in heavy plastic to insulate against the cold northwest winds. In late spring or early summer, he had to remove the plastic (although he would rather have left it up year round). Yuri and his partner came in and ripped all the rotting wood out and replaced it with new before installing 6 new windows, including new sills. They also added a couple of trim boards to hide some problems exposed during removal of the old framing. Both men were very courteous, and I was involved in any necessary decisions throughout the day. They did a fantastic job - the change to the room is awesome, and I can't wait to have them come back and do the rest of my windows! Thanks Signature - you guys ROCK!

The whole process went very smoothly. The owner came out and explained very thoroughly what our options were, described the types of doors available, and gave us a cost and installation schedule estimate. When the door was ready, the installer came out and did a great job, and even gave us a small additional discount.

It was a first-class experience from start to finish. Randy gave us good ideas for the structural changes. He was efficient in the estimating process, with nor pressure, listening to us. He said "We don't just want you to LIKE your windows. We want you to LOVE them". And that is the message that he gave to his crew-- and that is what they delivered. It is hard to believe that 2 men could accomplish that whole job in 4 working days! Excellent quality work! We would recommend to everyone!

Randy was very helpful and informative when he first visited and showed me windows and designs. He also went out of his way to help me fix a window that had come off its sliding mechanism, which I really appreciated. Clayton came promptly when he was scheduled to take the final measurements. We delayed the installation until my refinancing came through, and Signature was flexible about that, too. Clayton arrived again within the window of time he had indicated, and installed all the windows with his helper. They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves. Clayton showed me how the new windows worked, carefully explaining everything. He also was so kind as to put up the hardware for the blinds, as I don't have a power driller. The windows and caulking looks great; it's the cleanest they will ever be! The only thing that I'm uncomfortable about is the fact that I don't have the stickers from the windows that I will need to get my tax credit. Apparently the company that manufactures the windows is supposed to send them to me. I just hope they show up. But if they don't in a few weeks, I'll call Signature to double check on this. This was definitely A+ service and A+ work. I'm recommending them to all my friends.

It couldn't have been easier. Can't believe I waited that long to have my windows replaced. The windows have made a huge difference in the appearance of my home from the street, and improved the beauty and light quality of the room immensely.

Overall, Signature did what they promised. Gave me great quality windows at a good price. Would I go with them again. Absolutely! That's next years project.

I can not sign the praises of Randy & Simon enough. Randy came to our house one evening, sat down with us, listened to what we wanted, educated us on what was available, provided samples and even a video, and designed a solution to met our needs perfectly. Next, Simon and his team arrived to perform the work. The worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. Simon was friendly and also educated us on the way of windows. All in all it was the perfect experience for something that seemed very frightening to us in the beginning. Hopefully I'll never need windows again, but if I do I'll call Randy first!

It was an excellent overall experience - the installation went smoothly. Randy and crew had installed another french door in January and we were pleased their work so we had them install the 3 remaining doors.

I am an attorney and have experience with consumer protection problems and fraudulent contractors. I have many horror stories to tell, but this is the opposite. This is likely the most positive experience I have ever had with a service company and I give Randy and Signature my highest recommendation. This is the second time we used Signature. Our returning to the company for a second job was fully predicted by Randy ("We don't try to oversell our customers. We know they'll be so pleased with the first job they'll come back to us for more.") Absolutely true. We initially contacted Signature last year to replace some aging casement style windows in our upstairs with traditional double hung insulated windows. Our initial efforts to get information from various vendors was quite unsatisfactory. Don't know why I didn't turn to Angie's List first, but I did after those initial efforts. Signature stood out and we gave them a call. Randy Lucas paid us a visit. He was very informative with no pressure at all. He advised us, answered our questions, told us our options, made some suggestions. After our earlier experience he was as refreshing a breath of fresh air as the breeze that now comes through our new windows. The initial job was fairly extensive - requiring constructing the frames for the windows (because we were replacing windows that were different sized than the new ones). Notwithstanding the complexity, the job was done quickly and the work was superb. Not one problem. Signature followed up after the job to make sure we were satisfied. So when it cam time to replace some windows downstairs (just replacing the windows this time, not building frames) we of course returned to Signature. Randy again came out and went over our options. We were initially only going to replace two windows (and possibly three others). Randy worked with us on the price and we were ultimately able to justify replacing all eleven windows that needed replacing. Work was done over two days. Again, very satisfactory. Workers arrived when they said they would and cleaned up afterwards. Not a single complaint.

I had a window that broke and they came out and replaced the window for me. I think they did really good service. I was very impressed with their work, and I will continue to use them in future.

The home proposal was awesome and non-pushy, the product was great, the install was great with one minor adjustment needed which they quickly came out and took care of right away. The installer was sick for 2 days, so this was pushed out a little, but he came the day after still running a high fever, so I consider that more punctual than a healthy person coming on the original expected day!

Signature Window Replacement Inc. did a very good job of replacing the doors and windows for me. They are very professional. I usually don t like contractors in my house but these men were very nice. I would use them again.

The bidding process is excellent. They are much more informed than any other window company. The installation process was fabulous. I am so satisfied with them that they will get all my business.
