Doug quoted me Saturday and installed on Sunday. He rearranged his schedule to make sure my new furnace was installed timely due to the fact the old one had died the day before. The orginal plumbing was not perfect and Doug spend a little extra time to correct it. With over 30 years of experience I was very satisfied overall.

Our furnace went out during record cold temperatures in the teens. We had to wait an extra day to have East Hill Heating & Cooling come out, but it was worth the wait. Christie scheduled my appointment and was very compassionate when I called. On the day of the appointment, she gave me a call at my work so I could then go meet them at my house. Doug and Paul showed up for the call. They quickly diagnosed that I had a bad pressure switch. The switch was broken which told the furnace the flu was closed and prevented it from firing. They replaced the switch and the furnace was fixed. The whole call took about 20 minutes. They really seemed to know their stuff. They were nice to talk to and explained things. I will definitely be calling them again!

Office Lady said they would be here around 5 ish~ same day. It decided to go with them; sounded reasonable enough: price, service, offer & timing couldn't be better because we would be home around that time. Office called around 5:30pm said he was on his way should be another 15 mins or so. Our house has issues registering on gps, mapquest, or google maps, not uncommon for service men to get lost. so we anticipated a late arrival from the start. He got here a little after 6pm. Did the Job; gave us total and was on his way within 20 minutes. Took off his shoes when he entered the house. He had a pleasant demeanor, visited with my children while I wrote out the check.. Over all I was pleased from the first contact at the start until the finish.

Company did an outstanding job on the (tough) installation of my water heater. The owner/repairman and his assistant were clean, tidy and quick, leaving the area cleaner than when they arrived. The install was as "pretty" as a water heater could be, with all wires/hoses/plumbing neatly aligned and straight. Price was right too; better than the other guys I called... Highly recommended. I will do business with them again for sure.

As usual, Doug was right on time for the appointment. He'd been here before to do the install on this furnace and an a/c unit. Doug is very honest, so I felt comfortable just leaving him to his work. He finished quickly, reported that there were no problems (other than that we ought to change our filters more often -- lots of dust inside our furnace!). We also asked him to give us an estimate on installing bathroom exhaust fans, which he did. We'll be scheduling that work as soon as we purchase the fans.

We had a great experience with Doug and Christy. When our furnace went out this Spring we called East Hill Heating and Cooling to report the problem. They where not available that day, so they referred us to someone that could come immediately. We found out that our furnace required replacement and called them back to order the replacement. Doug took away our existing furnace and installed the new one in less then one day. He was pleasant and professional. He cleaned up completely upon completion of the work, and explained in detail how the system works and how to maintain it. We will definitely use them again for future furnace issues.

They did a great job. They were very easy to work with. It was a great experience. They gave us a lot of options and explained them very well.

Our heat went out on a Saturday night in winter. I called Doug first thing Sunday morning, and left a message. I had a call back within 10 minutes later, promising to be there before noon. I got another call from someone around 11 AM indicating he was a few minutes away from the house. Doug promptly showed up and diagnosed the issue within a minute. He cleared the pressure tube, and then showed me how to do it as well in case more dirt got stuck He also installed a new air filter. I was amazed at how quickly he came out, and got the heat running back for my wife and kids.

If you call East Hill Heating and Cooling, you will always have a live person promptly answer the phone. Doug's wife Christy is a sweetheart. Doug, of course, is always out in the field. This time, I got a callback within about 10 minutes and Doug was at the door within 30 minutes. Turned out that we had a thermostat that required 5 wires to run the fan and we only had 4 from the thermostat to the furnace. Doug presented us with 4 options running in cost from $30 to $100. We opted for a new thermostat. Doug called the factory rep, located the correct thermostat, picked it up and was back at the house at 6:00 PM to install it. Made sure everything was correct, from the fan running by itself to explaining what fan speeds were available on our furnace and how to change it if we wanted. New thermostat cost about $100, labor was $80, tax brought it up to about $200.00. The education on how a thermostat sent signals to the furnace and how to set fan speed was worth more than $80.00.

Not only did the repairman--the owner--come the next day and on time, he noted that the vent cover in the hallway was loose, and put in new screws so that it no longer rattles. Washington Energy Services, during my last check up, told me that this could not be fixed. Ha!

WE WERE GOING TO GO WITH A HEAT PUMP AGAIN, AND DOUG SAW THAT WE HAD JUST GOTTEN A GAS LINE INSTALLED. HE SUGGESTED THAT WE GO WITH A UNIT THAT WAS A GAS AND ELECTRIC BECAUSE IT WOULD BE BETTER OVERALL. DOUG SPENT SEVERAL HOURS FIGURING OUT OUR DUCTWORK UPSTAIRS IN OUR HOUSE. THE RETURN THAT WAS UPSTAIRS WE FOUND OUT DID NOT ACTUALLY CONNECT TO OUR SYSTEM. DOUG WAS ABLE TO COME UP WITH AN OPTION TO MAKE OUR SYSTEM FULLY FUNCTIONAL. MOST PEOPLE WOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN THE TIME TO BE THAT TRUSTWORTHY OR HONEST WITH THE CUSTOMER.

THE REPAIR MAN WAS VERY COURTEOUS & KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE CHECKED OUT THE UNIT & MAKE A QUICK DIAGNOSIS OF THE REPAIR NEEDED. IT WAS DONE IN A TIMELY FASHION & THE FURNACE IS WORKING LIKE NEW!
