Sales representative was extremely knowledgeable and punctual and answer every question. He was on time to look professional and was even great with our kids and pets. We have been putting this project off for quite some time because of the hassle of most contractors out there. Craig Brooks from the Bella Kent office made it simple and easy and fun. This company did a really nice job and I really liked how initially the salesman spent so much time with us upfront before we decided to buy. We really got an education which I thought was very valuable to us who have not had much experience with an older home. Their business philosophy and willingness to work with on some aspects of structuring the deal were significant factors in their favor. This is no fly by night operation.

When initially meeting they insisted they would work with our insurance to make sure our insurance would cover most of the cost. Once the work was done and the insurance wanted an itemized lists of materials and expenses dabella refused to give it. They will tell you they don't give out prices they spend on materials and labor, just block prices. So how exactly are you coming up with this number without knowing how much your materials and labor will be? Uh huh... They also don't do it themselves. The people they hired only sent TWO people to do an entire house and garage, who I'm fairly certain were illegal because they refused to talk to the cops after their truck was stolen in front of my house. They outsource the work so you're better off going directly to a roofing company and saving some money too. Now we're out 20k we couldn't afford. We got a whole $300 from our insurance because dabella is shady and makes promises they can't keep.

Great! until . . . . .the shower was used. The sales people had been very informative and available by telephone for follow up questions. When I called DaBella directly to verify info, the person on the line did not want to commit to specific answers and I concluded that she had no experience in installing showers. So I kept calling until I got answers. I asked what would happen if an unforeseen circumstance popped up – say they discovered something during the installation that would cause additional work or worse, stoppage of work. The answer more than once was that in the worst case scenario I would/may need to get my own contractor for that portion and then the DaBella contractor would be able to finish up. Contractor arrived Thursday morning. Pleasant. Two man crew. He called to say they would be a bit later than scheduled and stayed a few hours past, then finished up Friday, the next day. Seemed solid and attentive to details. However,there was no business card offered, no uniform nor name tag. No company name on truck. It seems DaBella employees do not install but rather have outside contractors perform the work I was told they were factory trained. The website mentioned training videos. According to the DaBella website contractors must have a minimum of one or two years experience in plumbing and other skills but website did not mention license requirements (under careers)/ Unless that info is on another page. I was told repeatedly that a licensed plumber would be on board and that these contractors had tons of experience and could usually work things out – per sales reps/calls, Installation of a shower took longer than expected but I can understand how that could happen. The crew finished up on Friday – which left 24 hours of curing to wait before use which meant Saturday 11:00am, From the get go it was explained that I had my elderly, fragile mother living with me and that this was our only bathroom. I was under the impression that the shower surround was made to order – that is why the time between ordering and scheduled installation was close to two months. I was surprised to get a call a few weeks earlier saying the installation could be done “tomorrow”. They cut the sheets here and are required to have their own tools. The Assistant Contractor was pleasant and helpful and understood this shower was more to meet my mom’s needs. He made sure the seat was installed at a comfortable level for her. The Head Contractor did not measure for that. This information was definitely given to the sales reps so not sure if it was written in the instructions. I don’t believe anyone from DaBella follows up or comes to do a final inspection/punch list. We waited past 24 hours to use the shower. The shower leaks into the basement from the drain and water is dripping off the pipes. One shelf is a bit off but didn’t notice as soon as I should have. The handle ornament on one grab bar is loose. Calls to DaBella are looped before you get an opportunity to leave a message. It does not appear that anyone is available during nights or weekends to call for emergencies. A large square shower caddy/shelf was to be installed but the contractor said he could not install due to the large studs behind wall. I went with DaBella because of the quality of the product. The silver ions imbedded in product , product is mold and stain resistant, antibacterial, seal lock, lifetime warranties etc. I am feeling lost right now. I didnt know if I had the right to sign the final document after i had tried out the product. I was not to use the shower until after the curing period.The rest of the family is not using the shower either until it is fixed and we really need to shower about now.

We hired DaBella to do an entire exterior renovation project on our 1926 house. We wanted all new siding, all new windows, fascia, soffits, and gutters. We wanted to switch out a few windows for a bay window and do a few small build-ups, but otherwise the project was not supposed to be overly complicated. We were not moving walls or overwhelmingly changing the structure of the house. The initial house call lasted almost seven hours on February 19, 2018. Due to several major complications, incorrect orders, and numerous overlooked details, installation did not actually happen until late July. At one point in the process, we were ready to cancel the entire contract with DaBella: many of the items we had been sold in the original contract were out of the scope of what their installer would do and several of the actual windows we were sold did not actually exist. We did not realize at the time that DaBella is simply a sales organization: our sales representative did not have any actual construction experience or knowledge, and gave us widely inaccurate information and quotes for outside construction work to be done in addition with window install. We were increasingly alarmed when DaBella kept coming back to us and altering the proposed plan to the point where it was not a recognizable form of the original contract. However, the sales representative pulled in a general contractor that was able to work with the installers and provide us with the build-ups, framing and general construction work that we had initially hired DaBella to do. To be fair to DaBella, they introduced us to a fantastic exterior contractor, and the parts of the project that he handled could not have gone more smoothly and we could not have been happier with the end result of his specific portions. DaBella did reimburse us for the cost of his work (albeit several weeks past what was originally promised to us in writing) as they had initially included said work in our contract with them. The actual install was pushed back several days, causing major issues with scheduling, the siding installer smoked while he worked on our property and left cigarette butts all over the yard, the window crew tore screens as they installed and left foam insulation all over the insides of the windows, not bothering to scrape them clean nicely. Five of the windows that were installed were double pane, when we had purchased triple pane windows. One window was measured incorrectly and was the wrong size by twelve inches. The siding installer did considerable damage to the roof while working on the second story of the house: the roofing contractor that was sent to fix the damage was only supposed to be at our home for an hour or so, and ended up having to replace so much of the roof that it took him the better part of a day. Many of the projects that were supposed to be done during the install were not actually communicated to the install team, and so we had to continually ask the installer ourselves to do small items (wrapping window boxes, trimming fascia, etc.) We questioned the actual usefulness of DaBella’s process, as it seemed increasingly obvious that any deviations to an installation plan that were promised to us as part of the contract were actually in no way communicated to the installers. This was especially difficult as not all of the installers spoke English to a level of fluency that was needed for this. Again, we had to manage the entire process ourselves, down to literally calling people on cell phones to translate. One of the most frustrating issues was the gutter install. We had an issue with a back screen door scraping against the previous gutters, and I was assured by two DaBella employees and a representative from their installer that this would be a simple issue to fix: they would just raise the clearance level of the fascia and it would solve the problem. Despite the fact that I raised this issue multiple times, the fascia was measured and the gutters ordered, nobody thought to subtract the difference in the current fascia and the predicted future fascia length to be sure the raised fascia level wouldn’t provide less clearance than the gutters themselves. In fact, while the installer did trim the fascia and the length of the trimmed fascia was adequate, the actual gutters were too long and the door scraped them continually. After weeks of complaints about this, DaBella finally sent out the install team to re-install new gutters that were smaller and would fit with the clearance issues. While this was an acceptable solution, we were rather frustrated that now the fascia had multiple punch points in it from the highly preventable install of the wrong size of gutters in the first place, and that it took us considerable effort and communication with DaBella to get them to remedy the situation in an appropriate manner. We did choose to utilize the financing that DaBella offers so we could continue with smaller house projects in addition to doing this one large project for the year. The sales representative tallied everything correctly in the original forms that we signed, but somehow the actual paperwork between DaBella and the bank was miscalculated and the actual loan amount was off by several hundred dollars. After much backtracking, it turned out to be a simple addition error caused by oversight of the sales representative. It took us several rounds of paperwork to remedy, and to be honest, it would have been much simpler to secure our own financing and go with a company that didn’t offer this option. On August 16, 2018, we signed an addendum with DaBella, giving them exactly 60 days to complete the punch list of items that were done incorrectly during the install. It is now October 19, 2018, and the 60 day window is expired. We still have unresolved punch list items. In addition to posting online reviews, I will be filing a formal complaint against this company with the Better Business Bureau, and we have reached out to our law firm and have the name of an Associate that specializes in this area of law. In short, I do not recommend ever working with this company.

This was our fourth estimate on finding a new roof, and by far the worst experience. Sure David was very informative and went into detail on every aspect of finding a roofer, but came across very arrogant the entire time. After explaining why Dabella was the best and every other company out there can't provide a new roof as nice as them or with a warranty as good as there's, he showed us a price that was way out of our price range. This was 2 hours after first arriving. He had a new apprentice with him who was super nice and tried to keep up with him during training. However when writing up the estimate, she made an error (no big deal), which required some rework by David, and all done via pen and paper. We asked if we were going to get a digital version and were told no. Why? They indicate that the price they give that night is only good for that night, where areas other companies have given us 15 days to make a decision. The icing on the cake, was at the end of all these discuss my wife, who had been pretty quiet the whole time, tried to let David know we wanted to do more research. He however kept trying to talk over her, very unprofessional. If you love buying cars, and don't mind paying the platinum price for a roof, this is the place for you. Be warned though, if you aren't ready to book them the day they come out, expect to be held hostage in your house until you can convince them to leave.

Long winded Review but accurate: This review will cover the duration of the project (gutter and window replacements). The sales representatives (Paul T. and Cole L.) were professional and knowledgeable. They described both products clearly and had samples to help discuss various features of products for both projects. The price for the two projects was competitive. When we decided to go with DaBella for both gutters and windows it was made very clear that once the windows were installed, they would be cleaned (also written in and checked off on the initial work contract). I will come back to this point later. For the gutter portion of the project we are very pleased so far. The gutters are as advertised. They have a nice clean appearance with sturdy construction. We have had two significant rains since the gutter install and they do channel a large amount of water quickly. The gutter installation company (Triple A Gutters) did an excellent job on install. Their crew was courteous and professional. On one of the rains we did find a small leak at one of the corner seams. We contacted Triple A Gutters and within a week the same crew came to the house, identified the problem, showed it to us, and verified that they had fixed it before leaving. We would highly recommend Triple A Gutters for future jobs. The windows so far also seem as advertised for the most part. The triple pane argon setup does keep the elements outside and we have noticed some noise reduction in the house. The windows do not slide as nicely as the sales representatives said they would. They work fine but are noisier than expected; in particular the sliding glass door. We were told that even though the triple pane would make the slider heavier, we would be able to close it using only one finger. We were not expecting to be able to do that but the door slides and latches much rougher than we were hoping for. The screen frames are sturdy but two of the screens pulled out at the corners on install so time will tell if the screens themselves are durable. The window install crew did fine. They did work quickly and took some precautions to keep the mess to a minimum on the interior. Our issue with the window portion of this project comes with the lack of attention to detail while finishing the job. It appears that the windows were not inspected very well before being delivered as three of the twelve installed windows have defects including scratches, factory imprinted resin, and finishing trim that has popped out. Alside windows has been out and has ordered parts to fix the problems but for the price, those problems should not have been identified for the first time by the homeowner. Defects are to be expected during manufacturing, but those defects are expected to be identified and rectified before install. As stated earlier, we were sold on and signed a contract stating that after the windows were installed, they were to be cleaned once. They were not cleaned at all and there were no plans to do so from the install crew or DaBella. We asked multiple times to be contacted by a manager to discuss the issue but after seven workdays of no contact from Dabella management and eight hours of window cleaning by my wife and I, our newly installed, supposed to be cleaned windows, are now clean. We did not appreciate the lack of communication/completion concerning this issue and would highly recommend that for future projects Debella either takes the "one-time window cleaning" out of the contract or that they follow through and finish the project as agreed upon. Sales:4 Stars, Triple A Gutters:5 Stars, Window Install Crew:3 Stars, DaBella Management:0 Stars. Overall:3 our of 5 Stars. DaBella staff were responsive and courteous throughout(especially our project supervisor and the special projects coordinator). The low responsiveness rating on Angie's List is for the absolute lack of communication from Dabella Management concerning issues. If possible, I would click "Maybe" for hire again? We appreciated the work of the DaBella staff and the install crews.

Paul drove to our rental house in Kirkland, measured our roof, examined the attic, took photos, and then drove all the way to our home in Enumclaw to present his estimate. His presentation was thorough. He explained the needs of the house and how a GAF system with a 50 year transferable warranty was a wise choice, His first estimated price was $16,550. Then he offered discounts for military, senior, size, sign in yard, flexible install. With the promotion, the price was lowered to $14,067. We felt pressured to sign a contract that day. We told Paul that we needed time to consider his offer and compare it with other estimates. After Paul left, we got a call from Joel, out of Everett office. He apologized and said that he could lower the price to $11,600. Although we would still be paying $1,000 more than our next higher estimate, we decided to go with DaBella. August 8, Paul again drove to our house to sign contact and set up install date. A week before the work was to be begin on September 3, we got a call from Brodie, general manager, telling us that there had been a mistake on the measurement of the roof and that our contract was void. He said we could have the work done if we paid an additional $2,100. We would have to start over with scheduling the work. Since then we have contacted two other companies with top ratings on Home Advisor and Angie’s list. One has given an estimate for $10,000 for a GAF roof with the same warranty. We are really confused and disappointed with DaBella. We had expected the contract we signed to be honored. Their action has made us start the process of contracting for a new roof all over again and delay the install into the rainy season. We feel that their action is unprofessional and unethical.

Excellent company and work. Eric Z was my salesperson that was recommended by my business partner Joe P. He came to our investment property and did a very thorough presentation. Allthough price wise they were a little bit higher then the other two bids I received we decided to proceed with them because the product and installation were far superior. I would highly recommend this company. My roof looks beautiful and it’s nice to know with the warranty I don’t ever have to worry about it again.

Do not get a shower replacement done by DaBellas. My experience with them has been a nightmare from the beginning. In the sales pitch I felt like I was buying a car, it was very much the “what can I do to get you to commit today?” And then the guy tried to talk me into submitting a review prior to receiving the product. 3 months later my shower was installed. I’ve now spent $8k on a shower that leaks water everywhere. And I’m talking water damage amounts of leaking. I can’t get them to fix it because they blame the crew they hired to install the shower, but I can’t get the installers to address it either. Overall, they have been horrible to deal with. I am now going to have to hire a professional to come in and fix their work.

Description of Work: We needed a new roof! Joseph was right on time. He was neat, clean and very professional. Very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. We had appointments with two other companies but canceled and decided to go with DaBella! When the roof has been installed I will write more! :o).
