It was a Big Deal that I purchased. I started using them this spring and it is ongoing service. It is an annual contract that was paid upfront. They are good and I don't have any complaints about them.

They were fantastic. They came initially to do the inspection and took pictures so that you can see that. Then they came back to fix the problem. They didn’t set up a trap. When they inspected, they didn’t find any mice. They found the places the mice were getting in. What they did was, after inspection they sealed all the places that the mice was getting in from. They sealed the cracks the mice were squeezing in. They told us about things when we wouldn’t be charged for cutting the trees away from house. This was just for future reference; we weren’t having any problems with that. They had to fix couple of other things just to keep way the unwanted friends in the future. They didn’t charge us for that. The guy who came out was fantastic. He was really great about being very reasonable. He was not trying to talk us into redoing the whole cross base or anything like that. He was very good about letting us know what he had found. Like I said that they take digital pictures of everything, so they show you what they found where. He was really great. We requested him to come back and do the cross base for which it was just $60. That was pretty reasonable. They were really fantastic. They were good about being on time. They were very thorough. I felt very confident in the work that they had done. I was really impressed. I had somebody else and I thought that it costing me more. This guy really took his time and did the work in the places where, neither I nor my husband wants to go. I would absolutely use them in the future.

They've really done a great job. I've been using them for a year and a half. I will continue to use them.

They have always been very responsive and do the work reliably. They are easy as a company to deal with, and I have never had a problem with their work. Their price is probably not the best price, but it is not outrageous either. I would use them again in the future.

They were great at getting the job started. They came and did an inspection of the house that didn't turn up any proof of insects. They took samples back to their lab that didn't turn up proof of beg bugs or dust mites or anything. Mystery still unsolved. After they told us we had no insects present that they could find, my girlfriend got two more of these horrible bites. That morning I found a bug walking on her side of the bed, caught it and took it into the UPS offices. They confirmed that it was a bed bug!!! Yikes. From everything I had read online bed bugs really suck. However, we couldn't find proof of any other bugs anywhere. UPS guessed that we only had a male or two present in our bed room that was causing the bites and the fact that there wasn't infestation present was proof that there were no females around as they mulitply very fast. Upon UPS' recommendation we had the bed room sprayed in case there were more bugs. I should point out that up until this point United Pest was all A's across the board. Great communication, great professionalism. Great at talking us through our options. However my opinion changed after their 'treatment'. We were told to leave the room to be treated as-is and the field crew would 'take care' of everything. We did this. However, this was bad advice. We could have been more proactive to help the field guys not leave such a mess of our belongings. Talking to the guys that were going to be treating the room I had seperated all of my dry cleaning clothes and asked if they could try to not wrinkly them when the bagged them. They did not listen. Dry cleaning clothes ended up in different bags totally wrinkled and thrown in with everything else. I had two nice staw hats that were thrown into a bg that must have weighed 40 pounds with shoes and all kinds of other items. These hats were smashed into pieces and ruined!!! Some clothes hagers were left in the room while others were put in the garbage bags marked 'dryer' and other left in garbage bags marked 'do not open for 5-7days.' This seems really inconsistent. Why on Earth would they leave some items in the room and place other items in bags??? If there could be bed bug eggs on the existing hangers why would some get left behind and others not get treated at all in the clothes bags? Some art was taken off the wall and some was not. Again, why would some stuff get treated in the room and not everything? Also, there was no instructions left behind on how to deal with the room. The whole house stank (this was expected though) and a leave behind sheet of what to do next woud have been really handy. All we got as for directions was a pile of garbage bags with scoth tape and magic marker directions on them. As great as United Pest Solutions was on the front end they kind of dropped the ball on the back end. They would need to tighten up this end of their services before I would recommend them to others I know. Additionally, the fact that they ruined personal belongings of mine and didn't listen to my directions on how to deal with expensive handmade clothing leaves me not being able to recommend them to others. I also sure as h*** hope that no bed bugs show up in the room again because if they do I feel it will because of their negligence and uneven treatment of the materials in the room being treated. I pray we don't need to cross that bridge!!!

We do the quarterly thing with them. We've been using them for awhile and we are very happy with them.

They were amazing. Our house is a 100 years old and it was a very difficult job. They took care of it in one self swoop and were extremely knowledgeable. We would recommend them to anyone.

Kris Pape came to my home to treat for Odorous ants. His explanation of services he would provide was outstanding. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions honestly. I would recommend Kris and United to my friends just based on my experience with him and the office person I spoke with on the phone.

They are thorough. They are really good at communicating what they are doing and when they will be here; they always give me a courtesy call the day before. They come out quarterly, but if I see bugs or a pest problem, they will come out for free and take care of it. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

I had a bad infestation of the odiferous house ants. After talking with someone at United Pests to understand how they work and deciding to hire them, we set up an appointment. Their next available time was 5 days out, but I was desperate for work to begin as soon as possible. They very kindly rearranged one of their technician's schedules so that he could come out the next day! When the technician Ryan arrived, I showed him all over the house --inside and out-- showing him the ant activity. In the process of discussing issues with the ants, I mentioned that I also have rats in the basement that I thought had been successfully removed over the summer. Ryan said that rats were covered under the same fee as what I had signed up for (the seasonal extermination). So I showed him the basement and crawlspace, and he quickly found a main hole the rats were using. I left him to his work: he sprayed into the walls from the outside (I can't see the holes) and around the outside foundation of the house to treat the ants. For the rats, he plugged up the holes he found in the basement/crawl space, set traps down there, and set up 2 bait boxes on the outside of the house. A week later, I had a dead rat downstairs and the ants had found a new hole in the wall to enter my house and kitchen. I called United Pest, and as part of my contract, Ryan came back out 2 days later. He set more rat traps; and sprayed more poisin into the walls, and this time added a poison that he put in the crevices the ants were traveling through. The ants are now finally slowing down, I had a 2nd dead rat. And I'll call United Pests to come back out for a 3rd time in about 2 months to continue to make progress. All for the one service contract: initial treatment, then treatments every 3 months with unlimited treatments in between as necessary. I feel it was a bonus when I learned they will deal with the rat issue I have - for no additional cost than what I had signed up for to deal with the ants! Also, the coupon they had was more than my membership fee for joining Angie's List! I highly recommend United Pest Solutions.

I chose to get a quote from this company based on the great reviews. Had Wayne out to quote me on cleaning up my crawlspace insulation and doing rodent exclusion for burrowing. The initial exam was very thorough, but the follow up was poor. Didn't get back to me later that day as promised, only after phone calls and emails did they respond over a week later with a quote that was far higher than my other quotes. The service manager did follow up with me and was more timely in getting back to me, but I still don't feel convinced they want my business or care about the work they are doing. I'll be taking my thousands of hard earned dollars elsewhere thank you.

Wayne came out and did a thorough inspection of the inside and outside of our home, eagerly probing old landscape timbers in his quest to find the parent colony. Although the search did not reveal the parent colony, we identified together some possible locations of the satellite colony. During his intensive treatment he successfully identified and treated three interior wall areas where groups of carpenter ants had begun to establish themselves. His enthusiasm and skill were a welcome relief, and we have not seen any ants since. He will do a follow-up inspection and treatment, if necessary, in another week or so. Quarterly exterior treatments will be performed to prevent a reoccurance.

We have a quarterly plan with them. They are very knowledgeable and they tell me what is needed without trying to sell too much. They are very targeted in their approach. This recent problem was ants in the kitchen and I thought they would spray the entire kitchen. They took the time to locate where the ants were coming from and they just sprayed that particular site instead of blasting the whole kitchen. They are careful not to overdo the treatment and I appreciate that a lot. I think their price is competitive and I am happy with their service.

They are very easy to work with. Their staff is very professional. I never had any problems with the pests, ever since they have come. Their price is of good value. I would use them in the future.

Ulyses (the technician) was courteous, professional and knowledegable. He represents the company well.

Let me first say that the techician that showed up from United was terrific He was very professional, extremely knowledgable and in all ways a first class expert. His work was certainly worth the amount that United charged me. The problem I had was that I was told there was no charge for estimates and then I just got a bill out of the blue. Some of the pest services on Angie's list say that they have free estimates, but it isn't acutally true. It's only free if you end up using their service where they will then apply the fee they charged you for the estimate to the amount of the service. I chose United because I thought that they were different in this regard. I called and set up an appointment and asked about the fee, I was told that there would be no fee at all for the estimate. I even called back later to ensure that this was true (this was after I had called a few of the others and found out about the free not really being free thing) and I was told again that the estimate was free. The technician came, as I stated above, and did a stellar job. However, what he found was that the rodents were no longer an issue and that what the contractors had found were signs of an old infestation. He gave me some instructions for how to prevent a future infestation and was on his way since I would not be needing any further services. I would have happily paid on the spot for the relief in knowing that there was not a current problem in the house. But when I got a bill several weeks later I was pretty irritated that the communication of the same "free" not acutally free thing wasn't communicated to me either of the 2x times I called United or during the technician's visit. The serivce is worth the price so why not just be upfront about the charges?

I called United and described my ongoing problem of rodent infestation in my house that I had had for the past several months even though I had been working with another pest control company. They rearranged one of there service man's schedules and he come over to my house by 12 noon that same day!! Ulysses came by and looked at my the inside and crawl space and recommended that they do a crawl space clean out where they remove the insulation and sanitize, deodorize the crawl space and then re-installation of insulation. In addition he wanted to dig around my foundation where the rats were digging under my foundation 2 feet deep and install wire mesh to prevent them from digging under the foundation. He also made a new crawl space entry door because the old one was chewed up and falling apart and was not fitting well. That day he closed everything up as best he could and I made appointment for the work to be done. I called and made an appointment and the work has been completed. I was home when they started to do the work and had to leave when I got back everything was all cleaned up like no one had been there. I have called their office on several occasions and the staff on the phone are so professional and helpful.

They are wonderful to work with. The tech is very knowledgeable and very nice. I feel comfortable with them. They are local and come out promptly if I have other problems.

We found rat excrement in our furnace area on Sunday, 1/16. We searched Angie's List and found this company. We called, left message. They returned the call Monday morning. Appointment made. Ryan arrived on time. Very professional. Complete inspection. The entry point was not obvious, but he persisted and found it. He installed screen over the two vents.

The people I spoke with over the phone were pretty nice, but when the manager came out, he had a bit of an attitude. They didn't listen to me, and I think they were just interested in getting me to sign an annual contract.

Went very well. The job took most of the day, of course. The professionalism and courtesy of the staff was remarkable. I still find it hard to believe how spotless my crawl space now looks after knowing was a mess those rats and other critters had caused! I feel confident the situation has been resolved!

Very friendly and knowledgeable. On time. Great price. When I mentioned Angies List, they mentioned and offered their coupon. 60 day guarantee too, but they said call if I see fleas even in a week. I'd call them for any pest need.

It went great. The technician was prompt, friendly, and professional. The job went quickly and there's been no sign of the bees returning.

The work went quickly taking about 4 hours. Expect them to install a carbon monoxide detector if you are eligible for PSE rebates. My access to the attic was in the garage so I didn't see them much. A few months later PSE audited their work by inspecting the job they did in my attic. They found the work to be up to PSE standards.
