Nicole Persson is the owner of Prime Coats. Can I just say, Nicole is absolutely a pleasure to work with. Friendly, easy to talk to, flexible, straightforward in her manner and her observations. I'd hire her again in a heartbeat. Nicole prepared a bid for an exterior paint job on our older, two-story home with an daylight basement and a detached garage. She had noted in her walkthrough that this house had extensive damage to its soffits, gutters, and porch, and some damage to its siding and window trim. Her bid had accounted for Prime Coats repairing/prepping these items. (Nicole's bid, by the way, was by far the most reasonable of the various bids that we received.) Later, we asked Nicole she would consider reducing the prep costs on her estimate if WE brought in our own crew to fix and prime these items before painting, and she agreed. Later still, we asked if she would remove the detached garage from the scope-of-work, and she was amenable. All of this saved us money. We sought Nicole's help finding good color scheme. Between her suggestions and our footwork, we found a beautiful combination of body, trim, porch, and door color. Nicole's painting crew worked at the house over 5 days. They were pleasant and kept the surroundings clean. The final paint job was terrific, and really transformed a house that hadn't been properly painted probably in 30 years. The quality of the work was excellent. Preparing the walls by patching cracks and nail holes then painting them was neatly, professionally, and carefully done. The result was great. If I had known the work would take less than a complete day I would have been prepared with some other projects. I did ask for the exterior of the front door to be painted as well, and the painter also did a good job on that.

They were very professional and very thorough, but the project turned out to be larger than I had anticipated so I decided to do the work myself.

My wife and I hired Prime Coats to complete interior painting in our house. Nicole offered a fair price and committed to meeting our tight schedule. The work was done with high quality and on time. The best thing about Prime Coats is the quality. The second best thing is that they show up when they say they will and get the job done in the number of days they say they will. We have hired them in thhe past and will again in the future.

Everything went great. The workers were good. We have no complaints. They left the area fine.

Excellent service. Quote was detailed and clear and warranty better than any others. Nicole is responsive although she is busy and sometimes takes a day or two. We were waiting to do other repairs before painting so pushed job to end of season but she was careful to get it in and we had good weather in September/october. Her crew worked weekends to get it done when the weather was good. Also, our ca. 1905 house had lots of scraping and it was lead based paint-- this company is certified and followed the code and rules which we really appreciate. We adjusted colors and scope after the original quote and she was fair in adjusting price and had no issues. Finally she helped us find a carpenter to fix fascia and let the carpenter use her long ladders needed for the peak of the house, even dropping the ladder off herself. Oh and her crew members are great too-- give good advice on how to paint the endless trim so it looks good, paint doors when it makes sense, and so on. Cost is higher than some but you get what you pay for in this case!

Very professional. Received proposal on time as promised. Workers arrived on time and prepared. We were well pleased.

Nicole was exceptional to work with. She has an amazing eye for detail. She was very helpful in assisting me with my color selections and she was always pleasant and professional in her interactions. She also spotted things that I wouldn't have spotted. Though she was totally on board with my concerns when she gave me her bid, it was clearly not passed on to the paint team. My biggest concern was that the paint job would seal the bottom edges of my LP siding to avoid further delamination and that the paint job would be done "BY HAND". I was aghast that the crew was ready to paint within an hour of their arrival. No attention to the prep work was taken and I had to have the crew follow me around so I could point out details that should have been non-issues to professional painters (scraping, caulking, priming) if they had complied with the specifics outlined in my contract. I had to have about 5 return visits to correct issues that should not have been issues. In retrospect, I think the crew was too concerned about moving on to the next job instead of focusing on doing my job correctly. Clean-up was less than desired with paint scrapings, tape and splatters left on the grounds/deck. While Nicole was, without exception, immediately responsive to my concerns, I am distressed that I had so many call backs to make fixes. Given the above, I remain apprehensive that my primary objective -- sealing the LP siding -- might be at issue in the long run. I contracted for 2 coats of exterior paint (Benjamin Moore) at significant expense to assure a good seal so it was quite an outlay to the cost of the project. Thankfully Nicole provides a 2 year warranty. I am very committed to supporting women in business so this played significantly in my decision to contract with Prime Coats, LLC. I do want to acknowledge how very impressed I was with Nicole's detail person, David, who was sent to clean up all the issues created, or missed by the paint crew.

Have used them before and they did a wonderful job. Will continue to use them.

Nicole came for an estimate at the time we agreed upon. She was professional and asked good questions and had some suggestions for the job when I asked. She showed me the paint samples on the house before the job was done. The repair work on the deck (replacing rotten boards) was a little more and took longer then she thought but it was reasonable. All of her workers were great and answered questions when I had them and worked with me as far as timing. They also cleaned up well. When a part of my deck that I expected to be painted didn't get painted because of miss-communication between Nicole and her painters she replied promptly and fixed the problem. I wouldn't hesitate to hire this company again....

I felt like they were pretty good. They ask a lot of question upfront about planning.

Her bid was very reasonable and she clearly knows what she's doing. She had good suggestions, was friendly and professional. I would definitely have had her do the work but for the fact that she's booked up for exterior work until next year and I decided to move forward with getting my house ready to sell. I know of another painter whose good work I've seen several times who only paints in his spare time. He happened to have a hole in his schedule. If I decide not to do the interiors myself, I'll definitely give her a call. I'd highly recommend Prime Coats.

Went really well! House looks great and the colors we chose were placed where we asked. Work was done efficiently once we planned a date and was good quality.

Service was excellent, professional and punctual. Owner was pleasant and easy to work with. House is over 3600 sf and 2 1/2 levels. The crew was always on time and cleaned up after the job was completed. A few spots had been missed, but the crew came back immediately and took care of all of the issues.

She said she will be here in august.

They were pretty quick to respond. Their communication was great and they speak English. They were good. They were quick to respond for the estimate. I don’t have any complains. I talked to five different vendors about the service and I think Prime Coats’ price is in line with everybody else.

Nicole and her team were great to work with. They were thorough, professional, and very eager to do the best possible work. David, her defacto project lead, even voluntarily re-coated our decks a third time because he was not satisfied with the first two coats; I probably wouldn't have noticed the difference but he cared that much about getting it right. That's what sets apart good service from great service.

The tri-plex looks like a new building. They did a great job and were understanding on tenant communication requirements for painting the front doors and the deck. I would definitely use Prime Coats again. Regards, John

Very badly. Got in a hurry and used paint brushes to smear on the stain in a very uneven manner.

The work went very well and was finished ahead of schedule. The crew worked beautifully, meticulously and efficiently. I will hire the company for my next paint job.
