We first contacted Prime Coats in late March of 2018 to get a quote on painting our house [split level, about 2200 sq ft], garden shed, front porch and back deck. The owner, Nicole Persson, provided us with a detailed estimate & contract, and we spent several months to deciding on colors [we ended up hiring a color consultant--money well spent!] and adjusting the scope of work [we settled on just painting the house, to control costs]. We paid a deposit in early May and Nicole estimated she could start around mid-August. At the end of July, a two-man crew came out to wash the house. One guy sprayed on a cleaning solution and after it soaked in, the other guy followed him, rinsing the solution off with a pressure washer. 2-1/2 hours later they were done. Six days later (2nd week of August) a five-man crew came out and started painting, using a combination of spraying and brushing. In three days they had given the house two coats of paint. On the last day, the foreman also replaced a rotting fascia board (part of the contract) just below the roofline--17 feet off the ground. We did a walkaround and I found a few places that needed some touch-up, and these were fixed on the spot. The next day, somebody came by and picked up all the equipment, leaving us with the leftover paint and very little else to clean up. They did a good job and we're pleased with the result. Our neighbors are pleased with the result. We'd hire Prime Coats again.

Very responsive and thorough in communication. Owner seems well-informed. Crew was pleasant. They showed up on time, worked hard, and completed the job within the expected time frame and for the quoted price. Only reason I gave them a B on the quality was because some of the caulking did not appear to seal all the gaps and clean-up/touch up could have been more thorough. Good company. I would recommend them to others and hire them again.

We had Prime Coats do two jobs for us - a 40 yr.old three-story shake-covered home that needed re-staining, and a small 1920's 1 1/2 story wood siding home that needed lead abatement and re-painting. They handled both jobs well, with excellent results. The painters were on time, they took special care with the pre-wash where we had shingles bowing from water damage and a lot of moss, they masked each side as it was worked on, rather than masking the whole house at once and leaving us in the dark for a week, and they were careful of the shrubbery, both from damage and paint spatter. The owner was onsite every day, conferring with her team about the day's work, checking to make sure the sites were kept neat, and checking with us to keep us abreast of the progress, and to see if we had any concerns. After the jobs were finished, we found a couple of small places where the staining was thin, and they came out the next day, and corrected the problem. We were pleased with the way the day-to-day activity was conducted, and thrilled with the excellent results. We would definitely recommend Prime Coats to others.

I sent an email request for an estimate on 10/4/17 via Angie's List. As of 10/22/17, no response. The company is probably very busy; but it would have been nice to get a courtesy response.

Wow! Wish I would have hired painters years ago! These guys were terrific. So quick and did a beautiful job. Even the stairwell.

They did not have any availability, but they were very quick to get back to me to let me know (which is more than many other painting companies did).

The crew who painted our house was great. They were competent, professional, and respectful hard workers. One of our neighbors commented afterwards that they hardly knew they were there - they were quiet and not a disruption. They came 1 week ahead of starting the actual painting to wash the house which was accomplished in one day. Then when they came on the following Tuesday, they said they would probably be there until Friday, but they actually finished two coats of paint on the whole house in two days. My husband and I were quite impressed with how efficient and effective they were. They did everything they promised, plus they even painted a few spaces we hadn't asked for such as under the deck which was greatly appreciated. They even followed our request about not disturbing a bird nest - we asked them to avoid painting an specific area of the house due to some sparrows who were nesting there. They avoided and protected the nest during both washing and painting, and about a week later, the sparrows hatched. Plus, we have received many compliments on our house. We highly recommend their services!

GREAT SERVICE, GREAT WORK! They communicated well and in a timely manner, the crew was very helpful and professional. Our house is a bit tricky, architecturally, and they did an excellent job. The paint looked great and we were very pleased that they cleaned up at the end of all four days they worked. I highly recommend this company.

The price was fair, exactly what I had expected to pay, and the final bill was spot on with the estimate. My neighbors across the street had recommended them to me, and I am glad they did. Excellent. The painting was extremely professionally done and the house looked great when finished. Every detail was handled well, though some of the cleanup following the completion of the paint job was not taken care of by the workers doing the job. (for instance, plastic was left covering the windows when I had window cleaners coming the next morning, despite my asking the painters to remove it, and the front door was left ajar one evening when I asked the painters to lock up before they left). Despite these quibbles, I'm very happy overall with the job they did, and the price was very reasonable, given the quality of the paint job.

Nicole was better than all the other contractors who bid our job about suggesting which areas needed touch-up and how she would handle each section. (About half the contractors we contacted didn't even want to bid a partial exterior job.) In addition, she came in at or below the others. The exterior was done in April when the weather improved, but we had to wait to do the interior (in two steps) until we could clear the areas. Nicole graciously scheduled around these timing challenges. Her crew is fast but also very conscious about doing a quality job. They were professional, helpful and cleaned up as expected. We would definitely call on them again.

Excellent. Have had them back for additional jobs since the first one! Showed up on time and communicated schedule well. Pricing very reasonable for scope of work. Quote was very detailed and it was easy to understand. Owner listened and captured full scope of work requested!

I scheduled an appointment w/ a few painting co to find the best deal and quality. I scheduled and appointment w/ Ms. Persson's and I forgot actually missed the appointment. I s/w Ms. Persson's over the phone and she looked at the deck and stated I could send her photos of the rooms. Once the photos were sent she responded in a timely manner and provided me w/ a great quote. Unfortunately the day prior another contractor came out to my home and I already sealed the deal. I would like to note Ms. Persson's had a great quote, better than the co I went with and she was very professional. I will give Prime Coats LLC a call for my future jobs.

They were very busy and scheduled up through September when I contacted them in late June 2016. However, the estimate bid Nicole Persson (the manager) submitted was economical in comparison to other bids, used top quality Benjamin Moore paint (Regal Select), and included protections for possible lead based paint and possible mold when cleaning and preparing the surfaces for painting. I put down a 25% deposit to reserve a place in the schedule and waited until the first week in October for the work to be done. Nicole was very prompt in replying to my e-mail requests for information and notified me in a timely way about the start date. The crew showed up as scheduled to prep the house and spent the first 2-3 days scraping and washing the sections of the house to be painted. There was a wasp nest in a overhang area they were working on and after I bought some insecticide spray, the men sprayed the area. The weather was cloudy and cool and there were intermittent showers but they finished and then waited for the appropriate dryness for painting. I provided Nicole with a sample of the paint color to match the stucco grey as closely as possible and she provided paint swatches to match the white trim. I requested the doors and windows be painted a darker shade of grey. When returning to paint, the crew of 3 worked steadily over the course of 5 days to finish the job, returning for a short hour afterwards to finish a section of railing. Nicole was on site several times to check on the work and answer questions. They did a magnificent job: I am VERY HAPPY with the finished product.

It went very well. They did it on time and they're professional. It's a nice "A" job.

The job went very well. The crew was always punctual and did an excellent job of prepping and painting the house. Their clean up was throrough. They did some minor siding repairs at no additional cost. I will use them again.;

She does excellent work. I have recommended her to 3-4 other people. She was timely and did the work quickly and efficiently. No mess at all.

I ended up holding up on the project. the people were very responsive and would definitely use them in the future.

It wasn't too long that they came out. The job was fine. I wouldn't say that it was as good as my husband does when he does it but it was good. It was acceptable. We did have to ask him to do the sports court over the second time. It was acceptable. I didn't make complaints about them or anything. It wasn't as clean as when my husband does it. I think the pricing was fair. The price was good.

Nicole came on time with her painter. He is the person she uses for one day projects, she said. He masked all walls, as expected and painted the ceilings with the Sherwin Williams paint I provided. He was very polite but his english wasn't that good and sometimes when I spoke to him or asked a question, I got the feeling he didn't understand what I said. He finished up about an hour early. I thought that he checked his worked and when I looked over the ceiling it looked good. But I didn't check the details til after he left. There was white ceiling paint on my red kitchen walls and places where ceiling paint got on the walls. Clearly, he didn't check over anything. THen piled all his masking plastic sheets on my front porch but it leaked onto my porch. All these mistakes I fixed myself. Also, pulled my front door moulding off as he took same plastic out to his truck. WHen I wrote to Nicole about his work, she didn't quite seem too concerned about his work and asked if she could fix the problem but I already fixed everything. I will never use her services again.
