We learned of Nicole/Prime Coats through Angie's List recommendations. I left Nicole a message and she called me right back and we set up time for her to come out to the house a couple of days later. She was thorough in her inspection of our house, a small 1920s bungalow (one story plus partially above ground basement -- under 2K square feet from the outside), and was the only person who did a lead test on the house as part of the process to write up a quote. We got several bids and Nicole and crew came out well priced (mid range) and I just liked how she managed the whole process. We decided to hire Prime Coats and Nicole was super helpful in setting up time (we were able to schedule it just a couple weeks out from the first meeting), helping with color advise and was responsive on email and phone. The crew did a great job -- our house is older, had a bunch of peeling. They did thorough prep of powerwashing, hand scraping, sanding, patching, which took a few days with 4 guys on the crew. Then priming and panting took a couple of days. They were on time, polite and cleaned up well every day. The crew finished on a Saturday and Nicole joined them to help with finishing touches, inspection, etc. It turned out a window was cracked during the process and Nicole bought new glass immediately and fixed it while final clean up was happening. All and all, we love the finished product and were super pleased at how easy it was to work with Nicole and the crew...much less stressful than we imagined getting our house painted would be!

My experience with Nicole and her crew was excellent. Nicole is extremely professional and very, very easy to work with. I received several bids for the job, and hers fell somewhere in the middle in terms of cost. Even though Nicole did not provide the lowest bid, I felt that she would be the best to work with, and I was right. There was no hard sell or pressure and she was always available to talk or answer questions. I was quite nervous about picking a house color that would match my roof, brick, and fence, but Nicole helped me narrow my choices and gave me paint samples to put test patches on my house. Because of possible inclement weather, Nicole put two teams on my house to finish before it started raining. The crew showed up every morning on time, worked hard all day, and finished the job in 3 days. Nicole stopped by every morning to make sure everything was going well and to answer any questions. The work was nearly flawless and I love the way my house looks now. I have received many compliments from neighbors, friends, and family!

Overall quality of the painting was very good. Crew was carefull of nearby plants and landscaping. Contractor was flexible with scheduling the work at our convenience. Communications were prompt. This company sets the standard for service.

Prime Coats was my second bid on painting our 30 year old house. The bid was VERY reasonable - and significantly lower than another bid which made me a bit cautious at first, wondering about possible differences in quality. But I shouldn't have worried! Nicole first provided me with a VERY DETAILED list of what was included in the bid, which I found very reassuring. She was helpful and patient as I agonized over colors. She stayed in close communication with her crew and me as the work progressed. The crew were diligent and hard-working. I made a few little color changes along the way and both Nicole and her crew were accommodating to that. They were prompt, efficient and did a great job. We're thrilled with the results!

Nicole Persson (the owner) showed up on the appointed time to provide a bid on the project. After we accepted the bid Nicole gave us a schedule of the work to be done and a time frame for completion. The exterior was pressure washed a week prior to the start of the prep work to allow the house to be dry. At the time indicated the crew showed up and completed the prep work and priming and painting the house within the time frame indicated. We were concerned with the crews working with our two dogs in the yard but they took great care and were very good with the dogs. Nicole checked constantly with us during and after the project to make sure that everything was completed to our satisfaction and to answer any questions we had. We are extremely happy with the results and felt that was one of the best experiences we have had. We got real value for the money spent.

overall an excellent experience. we met Nicole a few months ago. i took 4 bids from similar AngieList painters. biggest standout was Prime Coat's very detailed estimate. shows she takes her business seriously. her quote was in the middle range of the bids i received, but the real plus was that the estimate of work to be done was all-inclusive. I had other painters ask me to coordinate rental of a lift on my own, or buy my own paint. I like to see everything out front, no surprises. i scheduled a few months in advance, and Nicole was patient as we sorted through about a half dozen colors of interest. once we settled, Nicole and team were ready to go, no delays. prep work took 2 days, and they knocked out the painting in another 3 which was significantly quicker than I expected (due to amount of prep work required and some difficult to access spots - they had to tie off on my roof to get to one wall). Nicole's crew was also gentle with my landscaping which i appreciated, since we had just put a lot of work into that. initially, I was really concerned about the quality of work on my siding around my chimney's since it was difficult to reach and an opportunity for sloppy work, but they look great and it shows they put just as much attention in the difficult to see areas as the front of house. it was clear Nicole and her crew are very detail oriented and take pride in their work.

Of the three contractors we met with, Nicole was the best listener, made the best suggestions and gave the most thorough estimate. Her attention to detail and obvious focus on quality were very impressive. Prior to the full paint job, they came by and did a thorough pressure cleaning and painted spots with sample paint so we could confirm our choices. They came as soon as the sun allowed the work to proceed and worked over the Memorial Day weekend to finish the job at no extra cost. The result was quite impressive; the house looks better than it ever has and our homeowner's association was delighted with the work.

Excellent experience overall! Nichole "got it" that this was an important project for me;transforming an old garage into a writing studio. She didn't make fun of the bright colors I chose (as others had when they came to bid on the project), but rather offered suggestions about how to better integrate the colors together. Her workers were clearly serious and relaxed - everyone was a pleasure to work with. The space looks gorgeous! There were some touch-up spots that needed work, but Nichole was fine with coming back and taking care of them.

Prime Coats is one of the most professional and courteous business companies I have ever dealt with. Owner Nicole Persson takes a personal professional interest in the work and may be the reason they are so good!

Overall She was very professional she was easy to talk to she was not abrupt and I was very pleased with my contact with the company so far. I will wait to see how the paint job goes until they are done.

I m absolutely thrilled with the service and work performed by Prime Coats. I contacted four paint companies for quotes, two came by to preview the house for estimates, we never heard back from them. One company provided a quote but I could not get them to call me back to update it based on a few changes. When working with Prime Coats, Nicole arrived on time as scheduled to review the house for estimate and had the quote to me later that same day. In comparison with the other quote I received, Prime Coats was very competitive. As we got closer to the start of our project, Nicole walked the crew around the house to review the job. We watched the weather for a few days and soon as it was clear, the team arrived on time as promised to complete the job. Over the course of 3 days the team worked on site, were very nice, professional, tidy/clean and accommodating to our dog who had access to the back yard. I just had the roof and fence replaced and I was concerned about paint, everything was spotless. The job exceeded my expectations. I would definitely hire this team again and in fact I m having Nicole come back to quote interior paint work.
