Prime Coats was recommended to me by a contractor. Nicole Persson came by promptly after we spoke, assessed the work, and wrote up an estimate. We signed a contract. Over the course of that week, here were several trades people coming in and out. Nicole was flexible about scheduling her crew, which I appreciated. It enabled me to get the whole project completed efficiently. NIcole and her workers were skilled and pleasant. I would recommend Prime Coats to anyone.

I like their ability to communicate, their overall plan, and the painting scheme that they brought into the house. They have been very prompt.

Couldn't be better. Tino and Alfonso did perfect, professional work, making the kitchen look like new. Nicole helped us choose the perfect color combination for our new paint, and she walked us through the prep process so there were no surprises (and she even brought us pasta salad while we couldn't use the kitchen in the middle of the remodel!) We'd used Prime Coats before to paint the exterior of the house, so we were eager to use them again. We'd recommend these folks to anyone. Professional, courteous, competent, and very personable.

Very pleased with the entire process from estimate to completion. The work is meticulous. The crew was very quiet, polite, and neat. There was minimal disruption to my days. They were careful with my blinds. I will certainly use Prime Coats again in the future.

Things went well. They did a great job! They cleaned up and stuck with the estimate.

Overall I am happy with the service. The painters did not replace a few things that took down, and the Nicole came personally to them. They did an extremely difficult as they had to grind stain to remove it..

They did a great job, on time, very responsive to the few areas that needed touchups. Nicole visited the job site often and made sure it was well done. We recommend and will use them again.

My experience with Nicole and her team was excellent from start to finish. I was particularly impressed with the efforts to make me comfortable with the process and colors. Nicole evaluated and provided a quote late last fall (2009) and we planned to paint mid-summer 2010. She contacted me proactively to schedule the project early this summer. Chosing paint colors was particularly painful for me and I was very grateful for her input, expertise and willingness to go the extra mile. Literally - she even drove with me to a house a few miles away to do color-matching. The paint job itself took about 2.5 days. The team was very professional, hardworking and friendly. I was not inconvenienced at all, but I worked from home one day when they needed to paint the doors. The paint job looks fantastic. They did a good job of cleanup after the job as well. My house looks great now - and the front door that I was thinking to replace has a new lease on life! One month after the job, I asked Nicole to return for a specific touchup. (This was not a result of the quality of their work.) She was very responsive and came by within two days to do the work. The price was a little higher than the competitors, but the quality was worth it. I'm very impressed with Nicole and her team and I would hire them again in the future.

The crew worked well together. Our French doors needed special attention and they did a fantastic job on them. Love my new white doors. It took a total of 4 working days and clean up was pretty good. Nicole came back the next day and found a little spray on the asphalt along one side of the house. She quickly cleaned it up. We're very happy with our "new house". Thanks Nicole and crew.

Nicole came out to discuss and bid the work. She was very professional and easy to talk with. She submitted a bid and references in our area within 2 days. We eventually chose a smaller company who could do the work during the same time of the year.

Everything went well but the price was a bit to high.

We loved working with Nicole and her crew. She was very professional. She emailed us references, including addresses, of paint jobs that she had done. She had brought over a Benjamin Moore paint wheel to discuss suitable colors for both inside paint work and outside. Nicole encouraged us to do many paint swatches on the outside of our house just to make sure we were happy w/ the colors. Her crew were very polite, respectable, and on-time. Nicole Persson is very responsive, warm, and helpful contractor we have ever met. She was our first female contractor and will remain one our favorite contractors. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND PRIME COATS!

Of all the people I had to come out and give me a bid, she was the only one that mentioned testing for lead-based paint, since my garage hadn't been painted for years. She said she was certified in the new lead-based paint standards and had her crew trained in the new procedures for dealing with lead-based paint as well. The bid was also competitive with the other three I got. She was able to get me in the schedule within three weeks of giving me the bid. Her crew was very pleasant and did a great job. Everything was done quickly, efficiently, and with great quality. They did an awesome job protecting my surrounding garden and chicken coop, which were all near by and very important to me. I never saw a trace of damage to those surrounding areas or a chip of paint left behind. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would most definitely have her do more work for me in the future.

I requested an estimate to have a deck repaired and painted. I met with Nicole on site and we went over the work and she provided an estimate shortly thereafter. She preformed the work on schedule and within budget. Both the carpentry and painting work was terrific. She reviewed the project with me before completion to be sure that I approved of it. Very professional and responsive, especially via email.

We received 3 estimates. Prime Coats was the highest, but we were very impressed with Nicole's professionalism and product knowledge. In a nutshell, we are very pleased with the quality of the paint job on the house and the wood deck, which Prime Coats restained a second time, charging for labor only when we didn't like the color. The crew was also very neat and the property was left tidy at the end of each day. However, we were frustrated by communication issues with Nicole and the project manager, and felt like we were having to supervise the painting crew more than we expected. For example, the painters were unclear about what paint went where (garage doors and trim were not painted with the correct colors - they repainted the trim, we decided we were OK with the garage doors). We had also specifically advised the project manager that we needed to leave the house at noon one Sunday for a long-planned event, and asked that the painters not start anything that required leaving the doors open. That did not get communicated effectively to the crew, who started on the doors, which did not dry in time for us to lock up the house, causing us to cancel our plans. We were compensated for this issue. Neither Nicole nor the project manager seem to answer their phones or respond to email over the weekend, so issues had to wait until the next business day to get resolved.

We received a detailed estimate for an exterior painting job. We decided to hire a different company which gave us a lower estimate for the same specified work.

When I emailed for an estimate, Jared came promptly and I appreciated that he told me the company takes pride in their work and it is not inexpensive. The extra pressure washing was free and not included in the price. The previous stain work was bad - wish I had used Angie's List at that time. The "walk-through" and final payment were done the next day when the deck was still not dry and we could not walk on it; in addition it was raining. Only after several days did I realize the deck floor showed discoloration from the old stain. I had not thought to ask if the same process could be used on the deck floor as was used on the railing. That is my only dissatisfaction - not knowing if something else could have been done. Otherwise, the work was done very well and as promptly as weather allowed.

Nicole and her crew were very professional and did a great job of painting the house and cleaning up after themselves. She stuck to her estimate and finished the project quickly in spite of the typical wet spring weather we have here.

Excellent. What a relief not to worry about a job being performed on one's house and to know that you can expect professionalism and follow-through on a job.

Everything went very smoothly from start to finish. Nicole responded to my initial contact right away, and we had a bid within a few days (unlike some other painting contractors on the list!). The weather delayed the start of the actual painting by a few days, but when the weather cooperated, her crew came over and basically did the whole job in two days.

Nicole Persson and her team are true professionals. Due to weather, the project shifted, but Nicole always kept in touch. Her staff did an outstanding job. The prep work was done superbly. The paint coverage is excellent, and Nicole uses the best paint. Her team worked very hard to complete the job in a timely manner. Nicole was at the job site frequently to be sure that everything was going according to plan.

Called Prime Coat, Nicole answered and we set up a time for an estimate on our house, she was on time for estimate. after looking at a couple more painting companys(not from Angies list) we went with Prime Coats she came over we discussed what was needed and wanted from us allways attentive to our needs and wants she picked up sample from us and started about month later at our request, they showed up on time Nicole was there to get the job started , and the 3 guys from her crew were very hard working 2-10, 9 and 6 hour days to complete the job over the weeked witch worked out just fine for us, Nicole came at the end of thee last day and there was very little touch up to be done when we went through final walk through with her, they did have to replace a small piece of siding that broke in prepping for paint, they replaced with no promlem

The Laurelwood Condominium Association chose Prime Coats to paint our buildings, carports and fences, not because it was the lowest bid but because it was the best and most inclusive bid submitted by five "A" rated companies. The contractor spent several hours looking at our property and then explained how she would program her crew to cause the least amount of disruption to our owners. The bid spelled out precisely what we wanted done and what type and brand of paint would be used. The finished job was exactly what we expected and by the time it was finished, all owners had expressed full satisfaction with the results. It was a pleasure having this company paint our property.

Nicole Persson, Owner of Prime Coats, LLC, performed a superb paint contracting job from beginning to end. From the initial appointment for an estimate to final inspection and completion it all went smoothly under her direction. Some other ther paint contractors, were late for their initial appointments for an estimate, and or didn't show up at all. At the time of the initial estimates inspection of some large deck posts really indicated they needed to be replaced due to rot (22 years old). Nicole managed to incoporate excellent carpentry work (Well Done Interiors, LLC) into the painting schedule as it all was completed on time . It was a large job with three stories that was completed with the estimated price.

I am very satisfied with the overall paint job. Some issues were encountered because more extensive scraping was required. Because of the old lead based paint on the house only scraping was performed and no taper sanding.The result was the proposal spot priming was changed to full priming. This did result in a change in the project cost as I wanted two coats of paint in addition to priming. Nicole did provide me an alternative to stay within budget. There were 4 workers working on the job during the primary painting process. All workers appeared to know and perform their jobs efficiently and worked long hours to get the job done (up to 10 hours days). Care was taken around the exterior of the house relative to plants and clean-up. I would consider Nicole for other jobs in the future. Her bid was not the least expensive nor the most expensive. She added good advice on color and paint type to the final decision process.
