David did a great job!!!!! He came out to view our project and had many ideas that we had not though of and was very open to listening to what we wanted. We received the bid the following day and we decided to go with him. (We had this project bid by another general contractor that was $25-30K) Since 80% of the project was tiling, we were comfortable having David do the other work as well. He stayed in contact with us over the next 3 weeks as we picked our tile and ordered it. (It took almost 2 weeks for our tile to come in) David didn't want to start work until he was sure all our tile had arrived, just in case it was right. (good suggestion) Once we had everything, he started the next day. He was very careful to protect our floors and carpets with dropcloths every night and cleaned up his work area each day as well. He was very patient with us as normal remodel issues came up. (moving electrical, adding lighting etc.) He never charged us any "change" fees as we changed our mind on a few issues and added cut outs in the shower for soap/shampoo etc. He never pressured us to make a decision and was very flexible with our schedule. We would hire him again in a second....if fact we are working on our plan for the guest bath and will have him do the work.

Dave was pro from the start. He was adequately responsive to my phone calls and emails for a busy guy. he came out within a day of my first call and provided an estimate within 2 or 3 days. Much better turnaround than others. After I selected the design of the new fireplace and stone and scheduled the work I changed my mind about the stone we wanted to use. I was worried that we would be charged a restocking fee, but Dave was great about this change, and reassured me that it didnt raise the cost because we made the change early in the process. Dave worked well with another contractor I engaged for built ins around the fireplace. This pushed his work out a week, but that made perfect sense for the best staging of the work. Once started Dave and his team stayed on schedule and finished as planned. They cleaned up nicely although it did run a bit late into the evening, still I was happy that it was done and gorgeous. I would happily use Dave again for masonry, and recommend him highly.

We recently purchase our home and one of the items found in the inspection was that there is some missing grout in the master bathroom shower stall. We requested that John come out and take a look and assess what he thought we should do. While he was there, he gave me a few options - a few "DIY" options - and the option of them regrouting the whole this for us. The DIY options were to regrout it ourselves, just caulk it ourselves, or really - just let it go until our remodel in a year or two. He said that since it was clearly on cement board (as there were no loose tiles at all), everything should be fine if we waited for the remodel we hope to do in a year or so. We decided we would just wait and maybe caulk it ourselves for peace of mind, knowing that it wouldn't LOOK great for a while...

Dave was the best professional worker in his craft that I ever had the pleasure to do work for me. Dave went above and beyond my expectations, I made a mistake on tile that I picked, Dave after working all day installing the tile I came home and realized I made a mistake with the tile I choose. That night at 8.00pm I called Dave and he said that he would take it down and install different tile that would blend in better with the rest of the bathroom.

Awesome! The work looks great. They left the area in my garage where they were working cleaner than it was when they showed up. The joint where the shower tile meets the floor is pretty much perfect. I had zero issues throughout the project, would definitely recommend!

I did talk with David Newman. I did accept for him to do some of the work, but I never heard back from him. He emailed me an estimate after a while and then I emailed him back saying I wanted him to do the shower pan which was one aspect of it. That was over a week ago and I haven't heard from him at all. One of the reasons that I contacted him was I tend to like to deal with smaller companies where the owner deals directly with me. He was one of the first people I contacted and I was very impressed with him when we spoke. He got me an estimate within a day or so and I responded to him shortly thereafter. I haven't heard back from him, but I may still hear from him. I think he is a good guy and has been positively reviewed. But I am disappointed because I haven't heard back from him. Maybe there was a problem with my email back to him. I have made a different decision about what I am going to do. I am just going to express to him that I waited a week and I was disappointed.

Only one person came out to give the quote. He was very nice. His quote was about four times that of everybody else?s. We did not use them as they were very expensive. We would?ve considered them had they given us a lower quote.

He was pretty good. He was excellent and very flexible with his times. He asked me to give him a call whenever we were ready for him. He was professional. We wanted him to fix some things and he did it for us. We noticed that something was off, and he was more than willing to fix it for us. We would definitely use him again. We picked out the tiles and he went and picked it up for us.

David was prompt and efficient. If he was running late, he was considerate enough to call and let me know. He worked hard and finished the work on schedule. He put down drop cloths along his path of work so as not to mess up the floors or carpet. He made sure to clean up after his work was done. He was courteous and answered all questions. He was careful and detailed in his work.

Dave was FANTASTIC! My wife and I were both extremely impressed with the end result, Dave's professionalism, and timeliness. We started with a new bathroom, drywall and hardibacker in place. I had been thinking of doing the tiling on my own, but didn't want to risk a great looking end result. We knew the design that we wanted and had some tile (expensive tile) picked out. The tile was going to cost us $3000 just to purchase - although we hadn't yet bought it. We asked Dave to give us a bid on the installation part. Dave saved us about $1600 on the tile by having us select similar tile from a local distributor. We went to the showroom and found comparable tile to what we had picked out. Dave gave us close to his cost on the tile which is were we saved so much money. The local showroom had a LOT of tile, nice place (Contractor Furnishing Mart) but they only sell to licensed contractors. They knew Dave and were great to work with. He came in over a period of about a week, first tackling the custom shower pan (it's a big 6 ft. by 4 ft. shower with a bench), then waterproofing, then laying the tile. He did a bunch of little extras, like leveling the floor and putting in a cubby in the shower even though it wasn't in the bid. The border from the tile to the carpet in the hallway has a super clean line with a metal design strip - looks awesome, and yet another example of something I never would have thought of had I did the tile myself. He put in 3 styles of tile, to meet our design. He was surprisingly able to keep the area clean, even after a new carpet was installed outside of the bathroom! He asked us questions along the way. He always answered his cell phone. He gave good recommendations on little things such as what grout to use (bringing in color samples) and why to choose one over another based on keeping it looking clean. We HIGHLY recommend Dave for tile work. Super nice guy as well and clearly knows what he is doing.

Arrived, measured, planned and explained the cut, completed the work and left a relatively clean work site. Quick, efficient and fairly priced.

We had a great experience with David. Once we called him, he showed up the next day and gave us a quote. His quote was so reasonable we decide to have our entire bathroom floor replaced along with the shower. The end product is outstanding!!!

Overall we had a great experience with David. He showed up when he said he would, he did the job ontime and on budget, and was always courteous and professional.He cleaned up everyday and came back after the job was finished to regrout a couple areas that the plumbing fixtures didn't fully cover [the fixtured went in after the tile], which I really appreciated. Of particular note was that we brought the tile ourselves before we hired David, and after David had laid about a third of it, he informed us that the remaining tile wasn't going to blend together consistently to form a good look. He told us what to look for, and we went back and got more tile that was more appropriate. It was great that he called this to our attention, and the entire job really looks great now. David also answered the phone everytime I called him, and my wife has commented on his attention to detail throughout the job. We got several bids from several different companies, and are delighted we went with David for his quality, timeliness, and professionalism. We'd definitely recommend him and will use him again.

David called and followed up with an email to schedule a time to take a look at the job. He accommodated my crazy schedule and made it out there the very next day while I was on my lunch break. I gave him a tour of the bathroom, what I wanted and my price I could spend. He was very helpful with how long it would take, how big of a mess it would be (which was nothing; all the tear out was complete and cleaned before I even made it home) and where to get the best deal on the tile I wanted. He showed up the following Monday, I left him a key, again the tear out was complete the first day and clean before I got home. The job was completed from start to finish in a week. My bathroom took a complete transformation and this up'd the resale of my house. David and his helpers were clean, trusting, honest and willing to do a few extras that I had added. When I went to do a walk thru everything was perfect and I would recommend him to anyone.

My contractor ended up not doing the prep work as expected, but David handled it all and worked the details out with my contractor. Tile job went quickly and smoothly, great attention to detail and quality of work. He left the job site cleaner then he found it. He was also very good with my dog being left in the house with him.
