They were polite, on time and did a very good job. Our deck ended up looking like new. We would use them again no doubt about it.

It was good. They were very quick and the schedule was quick and they did a good job. They were very professional.

Went very well, punctual, neat and tidy worker and finished in timely manner. also noticed a minor stairwell issue and caulked it.

Depite calling and email, he did not return calls/email in the time frame he initially said he could have the work done (2 weeks). Once we got in contact, the house was sold and the work was no longer necessary.

KDS was a bit tricky to get a hold of at first, but other than that we were overall happy. The painter showed up on time, worked quickly, did an overall good job in general (a few very minor lines that were not clean towards the ceiling), cleaned up well and was done in about 6 hours. We would recommend them.

They did a great job and I would use them again.

inMy painter was prompt, professional and careful with my home. Kevin was in touch with me both before and after the job was done .

The deck was brand new when the man who came out finished. I had a very good interaction with him. He was professional and thorough. I did not spend more than the price of the big deal.

It worked out good. They did a decent job. I would tell people to explain in detail what they want done. There was one section of my sidewalk that I presumed that I thought they would do. The price was a pretty decent deal. I would use them again, I would be more clear about what I wanted done.

Provider did ultimately contact a couple of weeks later (were on vacation), but I had decided to go with another provider by that time.

We did not realize the true scope of this project which involved most of the upstairs rooms. The project was split into two parts, first one end of the house which included the 3 bedrooms, hallway and entry. The second phase consisted of the living room and dining room. I removed almost everything from the walls, ceilings, and almost all the accumulated "stuff" from one end of the house to the other and to and from the downstairs. The painters, Dillon and Corey, moved the heavier pieces of furniture, worked around them, and protected them with drop cloths. Corey and Dillon were hard working, professional, and did an excellent job on all aspects of the project, and exceeded my expectations. We have received a number of compliments on the appearance of the walls and ceilings, the trim lines, and especially the very high quality of the ceiling restoration after scraping and removing the popcorn. We are very pleased with the results. Dillon did most of the daily planning, texturing and blending, painting of walls, ceiling, and trim. Corey did almost all of the mudding on the walls and ceilings, and he is REALLY GOOD at it. Kevin and KDS worked with us for 3 weeks in order to complete the project. We added work to the project beyond what the original bid called for, and Kevin was fair in determining the final cost of the job. I will recommend KDS to anyone who asks me about interior paining.

I purchased the Angie's List deal for trim and door painting. I had a bunch of other finishing work that I wanted done so paid additional for the additional work. After the original job was done I noticed several things that I was unhappy with. I let the owner know and he had someone come out to fix things up. I was a little bummed that the owner didn't f/u with me after this to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. As the weather changed and the sun started shining, I noticed more things that needed to be fixed (that I hadn't noticed before d/t the lighting). I again contacted the owner and he really wanted to make things right and again have someone come out and touch these areas up. After our initial email contact about this second touch up, I didn't hear back from him for about 3 weeks. When I finally did hear back the owner explained that he had some things going on in his personal life, which is why he hadn't gotten back to me. He did come out a few days later and take a look at what needed to be fixed and sent someone out a couple days later to do the fixes. Again, after this second touch up was completed, I was bummed that the owner didn't contact me to make sure I was now satisfied. Overall, in the end, I was satisfied enough (although there were still some things that I felt should have been done better, since these were professional people doing the job). |I really did like the owner and all of his workers, they were very nice, but just not as responsive, punctual, etc. as I would have liked. I wish that I could have given them a better rating, but after my ongoing issues, I felt that I needed to be honest.

Job well done and I would hire this company again despite some difficulties in communications. It took awhile to get the job scheduled and get messages returned but I wasn't in a hurry so it was OK.

Everything worked great. Ken came out and looked at the job to be sure my big deal would cover the area and let me know if there would be any additional charges. I also had Ken quote other potential jobs for me while he was out. We scheduled the work for a few weeks later. The gentleman who did the work arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner. The results looked great and I was happy with the work completed.

Pressure washed driveway, side walk-way and back patio. It took numerous times to have them show-up to perform the work. A sub-contractor eventually came and offered to reduce the price due to the delay, which was nice, except I'm not sure if they knew that the work had already been paid for. Got a sense that they expected to be paid. End product of their work was mostly ok except lots of our furniture which was moved off the back patio for them to do their work was sprayed with mud and dirt. I would have expected them to have noticed and, at a minimum, spray cleaned the legs of the furniture.

My exposed aggregate driveway collects a lot of mildew and other "stuff" in the crevices, and needs pressure washing every other year. Last time I did it myself, and it took the better part of a day. So when I saw the AL Big Deal, I decided to have the pros give it a go. I was not present when the worker came to do the job; if I had been, I might have been able to inspect and point out issues before he was done. It turned out he was a new employee and a little bit sloppy. There were numerous areas where you could tell he hadn't dwelled long enough with the nozzle to get the gunk off. To KDS' credit, though, when I called to complain, they didn't question my assessment at all and immediately promised to send someone out and finish the job. In the end, it turned out well.

Unable to schedule work. Work not done at all

KDS Painting had this "big deal" offer for pressure washing. Called in August (prior to our niece's wedding) to schedule, but have not been able to connect to schedule appointment. Wedding has come and gone, and we were still interested but after multiple unanswered calls and an e-mail, we are going with another Angie's List provider. Many things can happen to a painter (fall from ladder, heart attack, etc) but even a courtesy call or e-mail saying "sorry, can't do this" would have been appropriate.

Started at the agreed date and worked right through to completion . About 4 t0 5 days

Person was on time and polite, however, he knocked a couple of my gutters loose trying to get to the very top of the house. He didn't tell me this at the time when he had the tall ladder so I had to have someone else out to push them back in place. I am told this is a common side effect of pressure washing--I just wish I had been informed at the time!

11/8/13 update - PLEASE PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! DO YOUR RESEARCH!! Owners Kevin & Darrin Silverman have been defendants in MULTIPLE LAWSUITS in WA where they were successfully sued - including one case for over $10,000 and they simply declared bankruptcy and created a new company (this one) under a different name! All of this is public record. LOOK UP INFO. on WA state L&I website, WA state court records, etc. The response KDS Painting has provided below is COMPLETELY INACCURATE AND NOTHING BUT LIES!!! Dates are incorrect, his very is completely incorrect and I can back up EVERY part of this with email and phone call records! I have since opened a complaint through the Better Business Bureau and Kevin Silverman lied OVER and OVER in it despite all of the emails I have that contradict HIS version of what he has/has not done regarding the situation outlined below. And his response to THIS review also contradicts what he put in writing in the BBB complaint! This is a case of someone lying so much they can now no longer distinguish the lies from truth. KDS Painting's "A" rating with the local BBB is simply the result of paying for membership! It is NOT a reflection of their work or relationship with other local businesses and consumers. Companies can very easily buy higher BBB ratings by paying more money. ORIGINAL ISSUE: ***BEWARE of this company NOT honoring coupons purchased through on-line auctions!!!!!!*** I purchased a "$500 off exterior painting services" coupon in Nov. 2011 and KDS Painting refused to honor it despite NO expiration date (Kevin Silverman says over and over in the BBB complaint that he never authorized the radio to print the coupons that way but the station adamantly denies that). Because it was too late in the year to do the exterior painting after I won the coupon in Nov 2011, I waited until late June 2012 (when I was sure the rainy season was over) to contact KDS Painting to get my house painted. It was 13 days later when Kevin Silverman finally showed up provide an estimate. FINALLY got the estimate on 7/21/12. We continued to exchange emails through September (yes, Sept!) trying to determine when the job could be done. By the time Kevin got back to me on 9/11/12, it was too late in the summer to do the job because of pending rain so I had no choice but wait until Spring of 2013 to have the work done. Between early May to mid-June, 2013, I sent 1/2 dozen emails and made a few phone calls (got VM each time) trying to confirm original estimate was still valid and determine a date to get the exterior painting done. FINALLY got an email from Kevin on 7/19 telling he "he hadn't heard from me recently and was wondering if I was still planning on having the work done." WHAT???? Mind you he had sent a guy out to have my house pressure-washed so clearly he knew I was still waiting to have the work done. July 19, 2013 was the last response I've received from Kevin - despite FOUR phone calls made to him (left 4 voicemails), and FOUR emails sent to him since then (between 7/20-8/16). Mind you - this was NOT a free coupon. I paid money for it via the auction and therefore KDS Painting has a legal obligation to either refund me my money or provide the service. Kevin Silverman has lied to the radio station, the auction company, to me, and now to all of you who arrive at this website. Are you going to trust someone who has been repeatedly and successfully SUED???

The service eventually turned out well. They were late getting there, but they called and negotiated that time frame which I appreciated enough, and it was not a problem. They did a good job with the pressure washing, but they did leave some residue on the side of the house where they splashed some stuff up. I took a picture of it and sent it back to the company and asked if I should have been expecting that. They said no, that it was a training issue, and that the guy was new. They further said that they were going to take care of it, that they would be out the following day to take care of it, and they did. So, I was quite happy there. I just paid the $149 big deal. I was happy with the price.

Pressure washing is straight forward. When done everything should be clean. The company left a trail of muddy debris from my driveway, down the sidewalk, and eventually in the drain. It was obvious the dirt came from my place. Also there were several cigarette butts that I had to pickup and keep my kids away from. On the positive side they showed up when they said they would and other than the issues mentioned above they didn't need to be supervised.

The pressure wash went well but, I had to ask the guy to clean-up some areas that were left muddy and patio window that had mud all over it. The scheduling of the appointment was very difficult and I never got a confirmation of when someone was actually going to come to my house for the second appointment I made with them. They completely missed the first appointment and I had to call again to reschedule.

He was kind of a round brushed to clean the surface versus the regular and that was kind of interesting. He went above and beyond to do a few extra things and we were happy with the service.
