Bonafide Lock & Safe

It didn't as I did not take the photos requested to email to the company.

I called Bonafide after someone attempted to break in. My call was on a Friday afternoon and I told him I did not feel so insecure as to pay extra for an evening or weekend call, so we made a Monday morning appointment. The would-be intruder (he did not make it in, thank heavens!) had used a screwdriver to try to pry the door open but the one inch deadbolt was too much for it. However, Bonafide pointed out that there should have been a reinforcement on the side of the door where the lock catches. This has now been properly installed. The locksmith also gave some advice on window and sliding door security that we will be taking into account. He was very helpful without making the whole thing a huge sales opportunity for himself, and I appreciated his professionalism.

They have been on Angie's List since 2005. We spent about $135 for the last service. I would recommend their professionalism and their willingness to stay with the job as well as to please the customer. There was a little bit of a challenge because it was a weird kind of lock, but the locksmith stuck with it and he fixed it. He will do his best to get it done. He was great. I would use his services in the future too and there is no question about it.

I thought that they did a good job correcting a problem that wasn't their issue. Basically, my door didn't fit in the frame properly. They went above and beyond, and continued until the job was done.

Very responsive - travels in van equipped to handle about every lock situation - easy to work with and likeable - very efficient (done in about 15 minutes) - offered referral to another service I'm in need of.

Everything went well. They were very accomodating and did a good job.

Locksmith came out on time, was professional, courteous, polite. He rekeyed three doors--one he had to replace hardware in. The price was higher than the estimate quoted on the phone but I think because of replacing the hardware (door knob)--but I wasn't quite clear on why it was *that* much higher. I could be wrong--the cost could have run me that much with anybody else, I was in the process of moving and exhausted. Overall, though, I was quite satisfied and would hire them again.

The man was professional during the entire time he was at the house. He was on time and quickly completed the jobs.

He showed up as scheduled, although he was supposed to have called in advance (which he didn't do). The replacment of the door latch went smoothly.

We called Bonafide Lock and Safe shortly before closing the day prior to when service was needed. They were able to accommodate this request. Greg, our lock technician, was great to work with! We received a call from him prior to the scheduled window asking if it would be ok to arrive earlier. Of course we said "yes". He took the time to explain our best options, quickly completed the services purchased, and even gave us some great tips for an upcoming vacation in Hawaii. Overall, we were very impressed with the level of professionalism and timely manner that the work was completed within. We would definitely use them again!

The whole experience working with Bonafide was wonderful. When I first called them I spoke to a very knowledgable and friendly woman who answered all my questions. She gave me several options for different ways they could fix the lock, including bringing the broken lock to their location. However, I chose to have the work done at the mailbox itself. The gentleman that arrived to do the work was punctual and also very pleasant and knowledgable. He finished the job quickly and made copies of the key on the spot. I will definitely hire Bonafide again for any future needs in their area of business.

Ernie arrived towards the end of the window that I had available but with enough time to get the job done before I had to leave. He re-keyed the locks for the front door of the apartment and for the storage area so that one key worked for all locks and then installed a new lock for the mailbox. He was courteous, professional and friendly.

They gave us an estimate over the phone. They arrived on time, did a great job and the price matched the estimate.

Service was performed without glitches.

I stopped by Bonafide to have a few copies of my house key made. The locksmith was quick and friendly in making the copies (in less than 1 minute!). Upon testing the copies when I arrived home, every key worked very well (which is different than prior experiences I'd had with hardware stores). Overall, a very positive experience.

They came out the same day I called and within the time frame they said they would. I was given a parameter estimate over the phone. It was not a very long job and the charge ended up less than the estime, which I appreciated.

Bona fide was able to send someone to our home the same day I called to re-key four locks. Greg was efficient and courteous. The cost was just $160. We will definitely call them again if we need lock work.

Good, and they were here within 24 hours.

I went with Bonafide after talking with other locksmiths on the phone that said the lock could not be re-keyed to match the rest of the house based on the brand. Nora at Bonafide said that it could and explained to me on the phone how to tell. Since the lock had not been installed yet, I took it in and they re-keyed it with no problems and called me when they were done. I will definitely use them again.

Well overall. But it took a very long time for the job to be completed (well over one month). Poor responsiveness. They did not always show up (or even call) when scheduled. There was billing discrepancy. The office person rude when questioned about it.

Great experience. I bought a mortise lock to replace my old one, thinking I could install it myself. I called Bonafide when I got stuck, and they showed up on time, removed to old lock, installed the new one, made adjustments to fix door leveling problems, and modified the lock to fit precisely in the space available. The work was complicated, but beautifully executed. Rudy was the locksmith - he was top tier in all respects. I have been burned by a number of home repair people recently - I was surprised by how good this experience was.

They are on time. They have good suggestions. Very accomindating. Kept things clean and easy for me. I have used them again since for more security work. I will continue to use them.

No complaints... Bonafide was efficient and professional and were able to assist us quickly being that another locksmith failed to show up at our home. Price for services rendered were a bit on the high side.
