Bonafide Lock & Safe

Technician was prompt and excellent. But my beef is with the charges. I was told when I scheduled the service that the cost would be $65 plus $22.50 per lock rekeyed: $87+tx for the one key I was having done. When Hector arrived, he informed me that the rekeying was a minimum of $45, not $22.50. I told him this was not what I had been quoted. He charged me the $45+$65 anyway. When I called the next morning to inquire I talked to Shawn and Nora; they would not make an adjustment or honor their quoted price. Don't use this firm unless you like surprises with your bill or want a company that is not transparent (honest).

They came in and were quick and did several little jobs for me that really helped me a lot. They were very punctual and polite! The work that they did was great. They went out of their way for me! The technician had a smile on his face the whole time. This service was a value! Greg C. was the technician and he was phenomenal, he should get a raise.

Everything about this call was perfect! They came out within an hour of calling for service. Their phone estimate was exactly what we were charged. The work was done professionally, quickly and accurately. The service personnel was top rate. I would highly recommend this company.

Great communication. Changed all the locks for new keys. Was done in an hour. I didn't do much research on price but might be on the expensive side but great service. Would use again!

I called this vendor because he is located in kirkland and I live in Kirkand. He quoted me a price of $65.00 for a trip charge. $80.00/half an hour for working on the lock and the cost of replacement of hardware if necessary. When I pointed out to him that he was located in Kirkland and so was I and that I was a member of Angie's list he said that that was the price. I do not recommend this vendor at all.

It went well. The guy was friendly and on time. He knew what he was talking about and even gave me some advice.

All the services were preformed in a professional manner and stayed within the initial quote. I am very pleased that he salvaged my kicked in door and now it closes an opens.

I needed the front door lock replaced in a short period of time at a reasonable price. I called at noon and someone came out by 3pm and was finished within half an hour.

Service provider called to tell me what time to expect him, he went right to work and replaced all our locks, as planned.

I brought the deadbolt mechanism to the Issaquah shop. Michael changed the lock and made 2 keys for it while I waited. I forgot how to reinstall the deadbolt, so I called MIchael for help. He referred me to the Kirkland shop. When I called the Kirkland number, Adi answered and talked me through the proper way to reinstall the deadbolt mechanism. I deeply appreciate their professionalism and going the extra mile to help me.

Work was very nicely done. I will use them again. Price seemed reasonable, but I don't have much knowledge in locksmith pricing.

I manage a community club which sees daily use. We have one keyed entrance so when the lock failed it was important to get it taken care of as soon as possible. I checked Angie's List for locksmiths in my area and called Bonafide. Unlike most rather than having to leave a message and wait for a call back which may never happen, Bonafide allows you to choose to connect to the on-call person. So I was able to talk to a person right away. He was helpful and tried to cure the problem over the phone to save me money. Which included me sending a photo of the broken parts to him via text as he wanted to be sure he had any needed parts on his truck. He showed up in less than an hour and replaced the lock which had completely failed. He also explained some small differences in our lock set up to ensure I was aware. Much appreciated. I would recommend Bonafide. i had had to leave a message with another locksmith company prior to calling Bonafide. That company called back after my call with Bonafide. He said I was in good hands as Bonafide has a good reputation.

Though a complete replacement was initially suggested, our locksmith found a repair kit that saved us several hundred dollars over replacement. He returned for the followup repair and was right on time to our country address, put on booties without being asked when inside, and put the complicated gearbox system together in a jiffy. Worth every penny.

The changes were done quickly and professionaly. As the truck key was also stolen,and Bonafide didn't do truck keys, they recommended another company who quickly (a matter of hours) did the job. This cost was $225 or so. We are more than satisfied with the caliber of work both companies have performed and wouldn't hesitate to use them again but hopefully under different circumstances.

They were very good. They were on time and prompt. Very professional. They were not very friendly workers.

I chose company based on Angie's list ratings, and was not disappointed. I selected a more costly product because I felt buying a secure system at the get go made sense and would be the best value in the long run. The adage, you get what you pay for generally proves out, and I am happy with the quality of the product installed, and the installation process. I do not think the company should charge a service call, but I did not request the $65 be removed from the billing. However, since I went with the more expensive locks, the service person was not able to perform the work on his first visit, so two visits were necessary, and I received a 10% discount on the labor and service call. As indicated previously, I would definitely do business with company again.

Bonifide completed the lock replacement in less time than they had originally forcast, their costs to replace the locks were less than they had quoted and they passed the savings on to me (other companies would have just pocketed the money and not said anything). I will use this company for whatever I need for locks, keys, door entry, ...they even carry safes and other security items.

The job went quickly and efficiently, but I was pleasantly surprised by a number of helpful suggestions made by the locksmith. His first suggestion was something I should have thought about long ago: to rekey the locks so that all would take the same key, both deadbolts and latches, greatly reducing the number of keys that one must carry and keep track of. Then, with a bit of creative shuffling of the existing lock and latch hardware so that incompatibilities of lock brands and external styles were kept to a minimum (I did not want to unnecessarily replace half of the locks just so they could use the same type of key as the others) the entire job was completed in less than an hour and the only lock that was completely replaced was one that was corroded and difficult to operate and therefore will not be missed. All have been trouble-free ever since. I am happy to say that I do not miss carrying a key chain with a dozen keys!

We called on short notice and they were able to give us an appointment. The locksmith showed up right on time, was very professional and courteous, and had everything we needed in his truck. He explained how to do what he was doing and gave me tips if I wanted to change another lock myself. GREAT Service!
