Description of Work: The dryer had completely stopped working. Abbott came the next day and was able to pin point the issue by replacing the needed fuse and getting it working again. Costs were very reasonable.

Description of Work: Washer would not drain/spin. Replaced a defective switch. Did not have the part on truck, so ordered the part and returned the next week to install. Appreciated that there was only one service charge and that he made it so that we could use washer in the meanwhile.

Description of Work: Our dishwasher was not working. Called several others on Angie's list and was told wait was 3 to 4 weeks to look at my Bosch dishwasher. Abbott's could come out that week and had gotten good reviews when I checked. Looked at dishwasher and said it was motherboard. Ordered part and came back and installed the new motherboard. That dis not fix the problem at all. Came back out but could not determine what problem was. At this point I am frustrated since I am now 5 weeks without a dishwasher and out the money. Ended up buying a new dishwasher since the wait and price for another repairman was too much.

+ -1 moreI stumbled across Abbott's Appliance Svc when our washing machine broke on Sunday. We'd just returned from a two week trip, so were desperate to do some laundry, but all the places I called were closed on Sundays. I finally reached Tim at Abbot's, and he agreed to come out. I described the problem, and he immediately knew what part he needed, and had it on hand. Thirty minutes later, he arrived at our door. He not only fixed the problem (an exploded transfer coupling), but took the washing machine apart further so I could clean out the basin (it was disgusting), took a look at a problem with our stove (he's coming back with a new part for it), and gave some advice on keeping our dishwasher clean. He was courteous, prompt, extremely knowledgeable about all the appliances I showed him, and was very helpful in answering all my questions. He didn't even charge me for anything other than the main service I called him about. Tim just moved his business from Texas to the Seattle area a few days ago, so I was lucky to find him.
