Tim replaced the control panel for our electric wall oven. He was on-time, friendly and professional, and I would definitely hire him again.

Tim saved me from replacing all but the microwave (no replacement parts available) diagnosed a bad fan for the fridge (and a worn ice maker) and had the main oven board rebuilt and installed. He was very efficient and friendly and showed up in the appointment windows that were scheduled, I highly recommend him before trying to just replace your appliances.

Tim was very responsive, knowledgeable, punctual, and professional. It’s not common to receive multiple calls to update ETA, Tim was very communicative about his schedule, giving me updates on when he was arriving within the scheduled time window. He diagnosed and repaired the problem swiftly and his price was reasonable. I also appreciated his knowledge as the owner/technician and he gave me very practical advice on other small issues I had on my washer. I highly recommend Tim and will be calling him back when I am ready to have my stove repaired.

diagnosed the problem quickly (bad drain pump), had the part on hand, and fixed it in less than an hour. Told us when he'd arrive and was there on time. Friendly too. All around great experience.

Tim noticed that a couple of dimes were jammed in the drum which prevented it from moving. It was such a quick fix, he just charged me a trip charge. Plus, not only was he on time, he was a few minutes early. Very professional. Knows his stuff! Not only will I use hm again, I will recommend to all my friends!

scheduled time 9-11am; 10:45 called...said can't make it, on another job. Can we re-schedule for the afternoon Abbot's said...i said "sure...how 'bout after 3:30?' Abbot's said "i don't know..." I said "okay, what works for you to re-schedule?" Abbot's said "i don't know man...plus next week i'm going on vacation..." I said, "ok...thanks for your trouble" and hung up. I have no reason to doubt Abbot's does good work since Abbot's is so highly rated on Angie's...but my take away was that Abbot's is lucky to live in an age that lots of us have no skills to fix our own appliances...so Abbot's could care less to lose an appointment.

I have a built in refrigerator and moving it on and out he put a 12 inch scratch on my wall. I still had touch up so I painted it.

I want to just post that I truly appreciate Tim Abbott's honesty and professionalism. I sent a note via Angies and within 24 hrs he responded. Even more amazing was that based on my writeup, he gave his best diagnosis, and actually recommended that it was not cost effective to repair. Who in this day and age, turns away business because it's the right recommendation for the customer? I'm amazing and so thankful. Thank you Tim Abbott and I am definitely telling this story to anyone of my friends that needs appliance repair.

Excellent. Tim was very professional, diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly -- it was a part in the igniter that often wears out by 10 years.

The owner was very professional. He called me back within 24 hours of my message and told me that the repairs he would have to do would not make sense given the age of the machine and I should replace the machine. He could have easily ignored my message knowing he couldn't get business, or he could have recommended expensive repairs, but he was forthright and honest.

Tim was prompt, had several magnetrons in his truck, but ordered one right away when none of them were the right fit for my appliance. He came back and installed the part, hung the unit back on the wall and tested it to make sure it worked properly. He even gave me a little feedback on what brands are more reliable and require less maintenance and repair for future purchases. I'm delighted to have a working microwave again, and even more pleased that I could save the money to buy and install a brand new built in micro. That I can save the environment by fixing my appliance rather than ditching it (and paying the dump fees) with a simple fix is even better. I recommend Abbotts Appliance Service. I'd use them again next time I have an appliance that needs repair!

Very well. He came the same day I called. Diagnosed constantly running water pump to a defective valve. He ordered the valve the same day and was back in two days to install it.

Tim, the owner came out to diagnose the issue right away with our refrigerator because it wasn't cooling after a major power outage. He got the parts and came back the next day to repair. Fridge is working great now and his cost was very fair. We would definitely use them again.

This was the most terrible contractor experience I have ever had. All I wanted was the contractor to fix the door latch of the dishwasher. Note that the dishwashing function itself was WORKING FINE before the contractor arrived. It is the first time an Angie's list A rated contractor gave me a horrendous experience. The contractor arrived at the house, proceeded to render the previously working dishwasher inoperable, and then fled the house before fixing it. Furthermore, when the contractor called me to discuss the situation later, he claimed he wasn't responsible for breaking it (which he was) and that the repair to restore washing functionality (which was WORKING before the contractor arrived on site) would be an unbounded hundreds of dollars to order a new electronic part and I would be on the hook for it. It was not without time consuming heated argument (and the contractor being extremely rude) before he was convinced to return to the house and fix what he had broken. Finally he did return to the house, restore dishwashing functionality (surprise, surprise, the electronic part was not needed!), and fix the dishwasher latch properly. To the contractor's credit, he did call me later to apologize for his downright unprofessional behavior on the previous visit. However, this does not excuse his poor treatment of his client on the first visit. In no world can I imagine this contractor having an acceptable rating, not to mention a supposed A rating. I would never hire this contractor again even if my dishwashing life depended on it. Under no circumstances should you hire this contractor.

I called Tim based on Angie's List lookup. He answered on the first call. He quoted a VERY reasonable fixed labor price, resisted ordering any parts in advance, and came out the next day. He arrived right on time. He carefully re-aligned my freezer door, and used a specialized steam tool to restore and reshape my crushed door seal. (Apparently that is needed whenever installing a new seal because they come crushed/crinkled as shipped). Door now seals firmly, with a snap. Problem totally fixed, in one visit, without needing any parts, for a very reasonable price. BEST repair experience I've had in years. Would absolutely recommend this very professional person.

Tim Abbott is really nice to work with...great price, god communication, professional and knows what he is doing...thought it would be more expensive and he could have gotten more and we would not have known any better but he fixed us up and was and is really honest..that goes a long way with me!

He came and looked at the Dishwasher and said we needed a new motor. I told him I would call him after I had a chance to think about it. Called and left a message and told him we wanted to move forward with the repair. Never hear back. Called again and left another message after several days. He left me a message saying he had questions., I called back and left another message saying we want to have him do the work. Never heard from him again.

He was very busy and was late to my house, but once there he was very cordial and professional. Cleaned my dryer and did some tests, apparently it is actually a ducting problem so he suggested I get the duct professionally cleaned before we tried to replace anything. (he tested with ducts disconnected and the dryer operated much better)
