"*** BEWARE, GROSSLY OVERCHARGES••• I have a condo in Seattle that my daughter lives in. We had a need to have a toilet reinstalled along with a washer & Dryer that needed to be hooked back up. I live in California and she was unable to do this work herself. I told her to call a plumber and I’d take care of the charges. My daughter had my permission to use my card to pay for the service. She was in a nearby town doing an opening of a new restaurant and was unable to be there and called Beacon to do the work. The tech sent over a docusign which she filled out and provided payment. Afterwards, my daughter sent me a copy of their invoice. It mention the need for some newer parts (hammer arrestors, braided hoses, wax ring and bolts for the toilet. Cost of parts when I priced them out through Lowe’s was roughly $120. They charged my card (my daughter approved it because she didn’t know any better). $2772 for the work. That equates to roughly $2300 in labor for something that should have been fixed in an hour. A very expensive lesson learned for my daughter and myself. This company should be ashamed of themselves. Obviously, had I seen the quote, I would have refused the job. Their response- Jeff, It is actually a contract. Beacon does not offer unearned discounts when the proper prices are charged. Even when reviews are left that is clearly trying to damage the company, are untrue. We are declining to offer an unearned discount at this time. When I first contacted you I acknowledged such, and my review clearly stated that she signed for it. What your company calls ‘proper prices’ are outrageous. If you have children or grandchildren, I hope they’re never taken advantage of the way my daughter was. I have the money and means to cover the cost, again that was never the issue. Your company is lying if you think I wasn’t truthful in my review. It happened 100% the way I listed. Was the review meant to get your attention, and if it were to damage your reputation, that’s solely based on your company’s ethics, because nothing was untrue."

"A plumber showed up about 4:40pm and said he was on our road so he would take a look and go back and tell them what we needed and we would get a call about the cost and the scheduler would give a date and time. We thanked him and never got a call back so I called and the scheduler has a very rude and snotty way. I ask if we could have our bid and she said we don't do bids. It's supplies and 95.00 an hour. This was Friday and she says the soonest would be next Wednesday and the latest would be Friday. No one showed up or called any of those days. My husband called the following Monday and told some guy that answered the phone and he said that job was already done and the bill has been sent. My husband said no one has been here or done a thing, there better not be any bill. They did send a bill my husband called back and Miss Snotty had her own untrue story. The worst customer service ever. I had my own business for many years and never would tolerate treating customers new or old like this. They never showed up or called, but billed for 1 hour of work. Miss Snotty said she sent the guy that said he was already on our road so he took a 10 to 15 minute look. Never will I reccomend Taft Plumbing to anyone."
