After 2 years of checking around and several bids, I went with Patriot roofing. At first I was put off because of a delay in the start, one week later. I had planned in advance to take the two days off. They called the night before and told me they could not make it out due to another job that they were still on. Ok, at least I knew they would not leave a job till they are finished. The workers came the next week and put on my roof. A couple things were not done, the owner had his workers come out and finish the job. All in all they did a very good job, no leaks, very clean and once done I was very pleased with their work.

Excellent company and people, from the owner down to the newest hire. Nestor and his crew showed up at first light and worked until sundown each day. Their experience in their jobs showed in the quality of their work. Outstanding. Each day they completely cleaned up the area before leaving. Any problems were immediately brought to my attention. The owner showed up every so often just to check in with the crew incase they needed something. I highly recommend Patriot Roofing.
Description of Work: Completely stripped off all the old siding down to bare wood and removed all old nails, fasteners, wires, and old materials one side of our two story house at a time and immediately installed HardyBoard weather barrier and siding and caulking before moving on to the next side of the house. installed new weather stripping and outside lights. Fixed some of the drain spouts to flow away from the new siding.

There were 4 - 6 guys here for 3 days, they worked hard from about 8-9am until dark and only took a break for lunch. A really nice detail is that they brought a portapotty so I didn't have to have someone home all the time or worry about someone using my trees as a latrine... They were courteous, seemed to enjoy their work, and by all accounts did a great job for a fair price. Looked at maybe 7 other roofers and Patriot covered things the others missed but I found was in the middle of the pack on price so I felt like it was a better value.
Description of Work: I have a difficult, steep roof and re-roofing is not something I wanted to do - but I figured if it had to be done I wanted to make darn sure I'd never have to do it again. Patriot roofing was my choice to remove the old one (carefully, i Have a pricey heat pump I didn't want damaged).

Needless to say I used another company.
Description of Work: I attempted to contact Patriot Roofing multiple times as part of receiving quotes for roof replacement. I submitted multiple requests via their request form on their website as well as left at least 2 voicemails and never received a single email or call back.

Sean scheduled an appointment with us the following week to present his estimate. We appreciated his promptness, thoroughness and the professionalism of his presentation. We would have preferred a one-visit estimate because we lack spare time for additional appointments; however, it wasn't a big deal. Our overall impression of the company and Sean was favorable. In the end, we went with another company because we felt they offered a better product overall for slightly less. Sean had told us that if we received a lower estimate, he could probably match it. However, there was no reason not to accept the best price and product from the person/company that offered it from the get go.
Description of Work: My husband and I scheduled an appointment for a re-roof estimate on our farmhouse and two outbuildings in Olalla. Sean arrived on time and was very pleasant and informative as he conducted a thorough inspection of our current roof. He took photos and examined the attic space. He was professional and answered our questions.

From the initial contact through to the payment, the owner and staff of Patriot Roofing was top notch professionals. John who handled the quote and sales process was thorough and complete in his explanation of our options. Jose and his roofing crew completed the project on time and on quote. They left the property spotless each night and at the close of the job. Patriot brings their own port-a-potty too.

They didn't send a bid. Promised to get back to me but three weeks later still no response.
Description of Work: Came to look at the roofing needs and said he would send you bid the next week but never responded by phone or by mail. I wish he had been honest and said he didn't want to do the work...now I have wasted time. I'm very disappointed in this company. They are not reliable.

Thank you for taking the time to talk with me about your encounter with our staff. We did not take care of you in a professional way. I apologize that we made you less than happy. We spend a lot of time training staff to take care of each and every one of customers with the utmost respect for their time. Unfortunately we are human and we fail to meet our standards on occasion. We find his conduct totally unacceptable. He will not be making that mistake again for our company. Sincerely Steve Campbell Owner

Roofing crew showed up on time on schedule and tore off the old roof. Since it was supposed to rain that night, they stayed on the job until 9:00PM to get the roof water tight for the night. Over the next two days they installed rafter ventilation, installed new sub-roof, flashing, and roofing material. The entire job took a little less than 3 full days and the roof looks great. They took care of several little minor details at no extra cost and at my request, they also came back another day fo replace some bad siding that was only reachable from one of the roof levels. Of course this cost us a little more but well worth the price. Patriot Roofing was a fantastic company to work with. They installed a quality product and did quality work. Their entire crew worked very hard and did a great job. I am extremely pleased with how the job went and the end result. I would highly recommend Patriot Roofing to those considering a new roof.

I called the owner and spoke to him. He said it's company policy because they have found that customer satisfaction is higher when both parties are involved. My husband can read and compare bids. He can do it at his own leisurely pace. He doesn't need to be at the house for an ESTIMATE drop off. When I asked if they had the same policy for military people on deployment, he said no. "That's different, there are expectations decisions will be made when they are gone." Well, I have a similar life - my husband is no high powered attorney, or doctor, who has control of his work schedule. He is at the whim of a medical company who makes him request his time off ONE YEAR IN ADVANCE. If he calls in 3 personal days a year, he is FIRED. I bought this house on my own (not just military people have Power of Attorneys drawn up!) I can certainly contract to have work done. But let's get real- this wasn't about signing a contract. It was about RECEIVING an ESTIMATE, not signing a contract.
Description of Work: A very disappointing ending to our in- home estimate visit. The rep was NOT up front about company policies, even though I was very up front about my situation. After all the time spent in my home, I was told my husband HAD to be here when they dropped off the estimate. "Company policy". My husband doesn't have the normal 9-5 job. His hours vary daily, he is often 2-3 hours late getting off his shift. I explained UP FRONT, that he was not interested in the details. This was my project. In the end, the salesman scheduled an appt with just me. Unfortunately, I had to re-schedule, and when I did, he was adamant my husband be home. He wouldn't leave the estimate without us both being here. SERIOUSLY? It's not like we're going to sign a contract the same night we look at a bid! "Company policy". I was so very disappointed. I had really liked the salesperson, until that point. They were in our top three choices, without even seeing the bid. What a waste of my time!

Please accept my apologies that we did not do a better job of meeting your needs. The salesperson should have and will in the future do a better job of explaining our company policies to future customers, as it is important for us to meet with all available parties so that the estimate we provide meets your needs and that we have an opportunity to determine if what we are proposing is indeed what you are looking for. Most major authorities (Angie's List, BBB, Certified Contractors Network, NRCA....) on successful contracting experiences suggest that communication with all parties is paramount to customer satisfaction. We as a company believe this to be absolutely true (please see our reviews with all customers who have done actual business with us). The estimator should have politely declined to participate in the process once he understood that you were adamant about your husband not being involved - which is your choice and your right. We understand his schedule is hectic, we are willing to meet outside of normal business hours to accommodate spouses who have difficult work schedules so we can best serve our customers. I understand you being upset with us and as I told you on the phone, it makes me sick to my stomach that we made you less than happy. Please accept my apologies. They were the only company to come inside the house and inspect the attic crawl spaces to check for leaks or any damage and also took pictures. Sean was very personable and was able to address all my concerns. No hard sell tactics involved. I'm retired and my budget is limited and he presented options that were reasonable and affordable without sacrificing quality. On the day of the install they arrived on time. The project manager Eberardo introduced himself and pointed out his crew of 3 men who would be working on the roof along with him. He kept me informed and was available to answer any questions I might have. I couldn't believe how fast and hard they worked! They started on the 6th of Feb and finished the next morning. All my neighbors were impressed with their speed and the quality of their work. Everything was cleaned up before they left. No nails or roofing materials laying around the yard.

Total professionals! Team worked quickly, efficiently and left the worksite clean every night. As we had discussed repair work in addition to the new roof was also beautifully accomplished. Steve explained the condition of the roof and sent pictures that displayed before and after with all angles displayed. The completed roof is beautiful. I recommend Patriot Roofing to anyone needing repairs or a complete roof. I have only accolades on the entire process! I am completely thrilled with the results!

Scheduler put the wrong date in her calendar for the appointment so roofer didn't show. Honest mistake. When the appointment was rescheduled and roofer came out, and without climbing up on the roof to inspect the problem, told me that the drain vent had fallen down inside and exterior wall and I had to tear out drywall to access it. I tore out a one foot by 6 foot section of drywall and found the vent pipe. It was in perfect condition. Called out another roofer. He climbed up on the roof and immediately found the problem. The top of the drain pipe had cracked off and fallen below the roof and just needed to be replaced. He fixed it very quickly. Now I have a big section of drywall that was torn out unnecessarily that has to be fixed by a drywaller.

Dear [removed member name], Please accept my apologies that we missed our 1st appointment with you, mistakes happen, but we still feel badly that you were not taken care of in a more timely fashion. Joe, the gentleman who came out is an estimator not a roofer, per our records, you had requested an estimate of what it would cost to fix your roofing problem. The estimator was not able to get on your metal roof the morning in question as we were having a cold snap and there was frost on the roof and that makes it too dangerous for the estimator to climb on the roof (WA State Dept of Labor and Industries is very strict on these rules, and we abide by them to protect our employees.) The estimator was able to get to the roof edge where the pipe in question was missing, by using his ladder he was able to look and verify the pipe was either missing, broken off below the roof line or had become disconnected and fallen in the wall cavity. There was no attic access for us to do a closer inspection. While speaking with you it was learned that you were having extensive drywall repairs in your home due to flooding on a lower level. The estimator made a suggestion that you might want to open the wall to see if the pipe was broken off in the wall, as you already were having drywall repairs being done. We did not require that you do this, we only made a suggestion. We are happy to hear the pipe was intact and that the roofer you had come out was able to make a simple repair. From your review you are obviously not happy with your experience with Patriot Roofing, for this I can't apologize enough. We work hard to do the right thing for our customers, and the estimator in question has an impeccable reputation for helping our customers. For future reference for you and anyone who is interested in using Patriot Roofing, please know that you can pick up the phone and call me directly with any issues or concerns that you or anyone else has and we would be glad to address those concerns so that there is favorable outcome to our customers. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. Please accept my apologies. Sincerely, Steve Campbell Owner, Patriot Roofing

We live out in the woods with no neighbors around. When the contractor got to our house, he pulled up in our driveway so I could see the side of the truck with the name of the company on it. He did an in depth review of our roof from the crawl space to make sure that was the only leak. When the workers came to complete the outside roof repair they were done in 50 minutes. They were very professional and explained everything they did. He even took pictures of the roof so I could see what he was talking about. Then when the interior contractor came in, the job was completed so well that if you did not know there had been damage, you could never tell there was a repair. When the bill arrived in the mail it, the cost was exactly what the estimate was. No hidden costs.

While not the lowest bid, Patriot provided excellent customer service from beginning to end. The crew was fantastic, completing the job in 2 days, with complete cleanup and haul-away of the debris. It was a quality job, with good attention to detail. My roof isn't complex, with a couple of valleys, a fireplace, and 2 skylights, but it is large for the size of the house (ranch). The crew stripped the old shingles and felt, replaced some poorly installed sheathing on the back side of the house, re-felted, replaced the old style vents with a full-length ridge vent, added bird blocks to increase ventilation, replaced the skylights, and re-shingled the entire roof in 2 days. They even arranged for long-term financing at an attractive rate.
Description of Work: Patriot completed a tear-off and re-roof of my house, approximately 2300 sq. ft. of composition shingle. They replaced 7 sheets of damaged sheathing and 2 older skylights, installed a ridge vent to replace 9 inadequate roof vents, and also increased the in-flow ventilation with the addition of bird-blocks on the back side of the house.

From the start I was impressed with the knowledge that the Patriot Roofing rep showed. He found ventilation problems that others missed or did not even look for !!! Their estimate for the job was about in the middle of the price range. The job started one day late due to scheduling issues of which I was informed of. Once the job started, the crew worked three 10 hour days to get it done. The damage was showed to me as it was found and repair options were given to me. The crew did a good clean-up each day and at the end of the job. The gutter crew showed up on time and completed their part of the job in about 4 hours. As we start into a Puget Sound fall/winter, I feel really good about the new roof that is over my head !!

We had a small leak in our tile roof which several other roofing companies were unable to locate. The folks from Patriot inspected the roof from inside the attic and out (including removing a large area of tiles) until they found the source. In the process they found an additional leak which was also repaired. We are very satisfied and will call Patriot again if we have a roof issue.

Install when really well. The old roof had some issues with how the original builders put it on and with the lack of proper ventilation. The Patriot crew did an excellent job and cleaned up their work area at the end of each day. Everyone was easy to work with, even the weather cooperated for the install! Would not hesitate to recommend Patriot Roofing. Steve was great, very easy to work with and did not pressure us to utilize more material or more costly material than we needed.

We had just bought our house and our first real rainstorm revealed a leak in the roof. Patriot came out and tarped the roof for us, and when they found out that my insurance company was not going to cover the cost (it was a pre-existing problem), they held off on their tarping fee. When they inspected the roof, they noticed that the valleys were not properly constructed, and that was the cause of the leak. Before they returned, I noticed another suspect leak, and called them to ask for the job to get expanded to cover an additional area, and they came with more materials ready to do what they saw, and what I would point out. They came and worked hard to patch up the roof. My additional project almost doubled the work needed (they were going to patch 2 valleys, and ended up patching 4), but they really worked with us on the price. The tarping fee should have been $600, but they cut it in half. I doubled the work they bid for, but the final price was nowhere near double. I feel like their pricing and work was very good. **The one caveat was that on the next large rainstorm (1 month later) we found a new leak. They came right out to inspect and discovered the nail holes from the tarp hadn't gotten patched. It's now been 6 months. No leaks. Great service. I would call them again in a heartbeat.
