Description of Work: they did a life time roof installation. The job was done great, materials great. We signed the contract end of November 2014 but job was not started until Feb 16th 2015. We were told it would start sometime in December. Some of this delay was because of the rainy season but also they had a very small work crew. Some days only two people. They don't work weekends. We had to call them to get updates on when work was going to start. Which a would take a day or two for them to call back. They stated they didn't call with updates on work starting as with weather they didn't know what was going to happen. I would use them but not if your in a hurry.

Description of Work: They replaced my shingled roof. Did a great job.,very professional. The only downside was it took them awhile to get to the actual job done after I had put down a deposit. It was close to the start of the rainy season,and they had other roofs scheduled. They just got it done before just before the rains started.

Description of Work: We had l.p. siding replaced with pre painted hardlie plank. The estimator/project manager was right on time, personable, knowledgeable and professional. Their estimate beat the big box by over $5,000. |This was in September, scheduled to start in 3 weeks that became more than 8 weeks. They were way overbooked and running behind with extra damage repair. On siding they make their money on bringing your home up to current code and repairing water damage to the sheathing. We had a bunch. All the Windows had to be removed and properly reinstalled. There were at least 16 sheets of osb that had to be replaced. | |They subbed our job to a crew they did not know. Two Ukrainian gentleman. One did not speak English at all. Our project manager had us pay them directly for the extras. They kept changing the price. They arrived in a Honda sedan. I had to make the trips to the lumberyard for the sheathing that needed replaced. It was cold and gale force wind and these guys are on the side of our two story house pounding away. Probably not safe. |It took several weeks to have the pile of old siding picked up. |The house looks great and the siding was installed correctly. We have a damaged downpout, a broken outlet, broken porch light and damaged landscaping. The fence reinstall is poorly done. There were a few places where old siding was to remain. They made a mess of those areas. They damaged the framing on the garage door. The extras that I paid to the crew were about $4,000. |Rainshield presents itself as a small family business and that the crew you work with has been with them for years. Not true in our case. |The siding looks great and we are repairing the damage done on our own. It was a bad experience, it took them almost 3 weeks to complete the job. I let them eat and take breaks inside out of the cold. |We got a good deal, possibly on the shady side. The end result is good. The crew weren't the certified installers the company claims to send. These guys were unknown to the company. The project manager showed up maybe twice a week to check on things. It was disturbing to have them knock at the door and demand money. I kept track of the extras because there was several times they exaggerated the extra work. Tough for a lay person to keep track of contract scope of work and extras, but I managed. They had little respect for me as a woman. Very uncomfortable. |It is likely that this is all on the project manager. By the time I realized what was going on, how much further would complaining to the company push back our job? My husband and I agreed we would ride it out and fix the little things later. Our lp siding was failing badly and needed replaced before winter. |Over two years later the siding looks great. No moisture problems, warm and dry all winter. Still need to replace the dented downpout and a few other little things that kept this from being a great job.

Description of Work: Removed old roofing and cleaned up everything. Replaced plywood sections where needed. Applied base material. Applied rolled roofing material and torched to seal. Totally cleaned up area.
