Description of Work: I purchased a "Big Deal" on Angie's List for 2 arborists for a day. Soon after the purchase Tree Resources contacted me by email to set up an appointment to discuss the services to be provided. I met with one of their arborists, Stuart who is no longer with them, and we agreed on a course of action. Tree Resources sent a formal proposal for the work to be preformed and a date was set. A few days before the appointed date I was contacted by Tree Resources with a reminder of the coming appointment. Alec and his associate, forgive me I do not recall his name, arrived at the agreed time. My house sits on a large lot with numerous tall fir trees. The intent was to remove dead and at risk limbs from the (8) trees nearest the house. They accomplished this work as planned with time enough left to add an additional item, removal of a large dead cherry tree, to the list. I assisted with clean-up as my time allowed. They were very professional and helpful in explaining why certain things were done as they were. I would have no hesitation in recommending their use to others.

Description of Work: Wonderful experience. They removed 3 dead trees, cleaned up a major ivy invasion, trimmed branches hanging over the house. Even though they did not get everything done, they worked hard and quickly - getting what they could in the allotted time. I would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: I asked for a refund of the Big Deal special I paid for after reading the contract they asked me to sign. In a nutshell, it stated client agrees to limit the contractor's liability for many things, including potential damage to property, death, injuries, breach of contract, third party claims, to $1.0 K or the cost of consultation, even if they are negligent or in error, including paying their costs for appeals. This requirement to sign a contract to limit their liability applies to any future work they do as well unless damage is caused by their "willful misconduct." I sent email to the company voicing my concerns and requesting clarification of my understanding since I had tree service done by another company and never had to sign agreement to limit their liability. All I received in return was an email asking me to contact the manager for any clarification. They didn't even forward what I had already written and sent to them to have the manager contact me.. That's when I asked for a refund from Angie's LIst which I promptly received.

Description of Work: I had worked with them before and I really liked the company. I contacted them about additional work being needed and purchased a Big Deal. They sent out an apprentice for a free consultation. He was fine. However, my tree has a significant issue and they said they wanted to wait until February and they would contact me to do a reassessment. I do plan on getting in touch with them again either later this summer or fall. I do like the company and I have had great experiences with them.

Description of Work: Checked out the trees, to see if they were in need of trimming. Gave advice on diseases of some of the trees.

Description of Work: They came out to do a free consultation. He couldn't give me any real pricing until the estimate. The expense was out of my budget and right now I can't afford it. I had an unrealistic expectation of the cost of the work.

Description of Work: I recently bought a Big Deal for $99 to have $200 worth of tree services done by Tree Resource. They are a wonderful company, very responsive and honest. I will be doing a review soon. However, here is my dilemma. Their arborist came out and looked at the tree I was concerned about and he said there is nothing wrong with it. Since I had the voucher, I asked him to look at the other trees on my property to see if any of them needed sprucing up. He assessed each one but found nothing that needed to be done to any of them. The integrity of this company is amazing, and I will certainly use them if I ever do need work, but I'm afraid I have no use for tree services in the foreseeable future. In light of this, I am hoping Angie's List can refund the $99 I paid for the service. I would appreciate your consideration.

Description of Work: Spoke with the office manager (Abigail) to set-up the consultation who was very helpful and professional. On June 28 Stuart came to the house to look at the 11 blue spruce trees to trim. He did not understand how I wanted them pruned. I received an email stating that they could not prune the trees as I requested due to the arborist code of ethics.

Description of Work: I had used Tree Resource's services in the fall to prune several fruit trees. (I had purchased the "2 Arborists for one day" deal.) Alec arrived prior to the work and we discussed what needed to be done. On the day of the appointment, they arrived punctually and were so efficient that they did even more work than we originally scheduled because they still had time left over. I could not believe how incredibly honest and integrous they were! (Some service companies would stall and move slowly just to extend the time or increase the cost...they did just the opposite and worked constantly with no breaks!) They even cleaned up all of the trimmings from the pruning! They were absolutely incredible!!! Alec even helped two of my neighbors who saw him and had questions for him...he was incredibly gracious and generous with his expertise, which gained two new customers for the company because my neighbors were so impressed with him! Because they did such an incredible job in the fall, I asked Alec to come back to consult on repairing an apple tree...which responded so well to the pruning that it grew too much fruit and started to bend in half because of the extra weight....and to find a tree to plant as a visual barrier between my back yard and a neighbor's upstairs window. Alec, as before, arrived on time and was generous with his expertise, friendly as could be, and extremely professional. Tree Resources may cost a little bit more than some of the competitors, but the service they provide is stellar and makes it worth every single penny. I will ALWAYS use them from this point on, with much gratitude to Alec for doing such an incredible job to help save my trees.

Description of Work: First trimmed evergreen branches up off the roof and had a cherry tree that was dead chopped down. Then pruned camelia bush and evergreen branches on the street. Then pruned apple tree, pear tree and walnut tree.

Description of Work: Tree trimming. The promotion was just a way to get them here to then spend way more money. they were good but very expensive. I did have them do some tree work but other pruning that they recommended I got done for 1/2 the cost

Description of Work: I called to have a hawthorn tree removed. The office said they would send someone out to estimate the $, which usually costs $125. but would be free, and the discount would be applied to work. I realized that they would cost more if they are not prepared to do a small job on the date scheduled.

Description of Work: Alec & Michael performed the work and were very professional and knowlegeable. They pruned two threadleaf cypresses, each tree was about 8 ft tall and 5-6 ft in diameter and hadn't been pruned in years. They removed all the dead branches and inner leaves and did some minor shaping. It was about a 3 hr job with lots of debris. Their cleanup was superb. A great job!
