Tree Resource

Workman showed up right on time! They thinned 2 large Horse Chestnut trees that had been badly pruned in the past. All debris was picked up, chipped, surrounding work area cleaned and raked. Other than the trees being thinner you couldn't tell workmen had even been here. VERY pleased.

He took care of the hanging branch and cleaned up very well after the work was complete. They also sought other problems and took care of them. They explained and pointed out everything to me before doing the work. The neighbors even told us how impressed they were with how well Tree Resource solved the problem. I was so pleased with their work that I even hired them again. We had some narrow trees that had gotten so heavy after an ice storm that they had bent down totally to the ground. We had them come back and grind down the stumps that were left after my husband cleaned up the debris. They were the nicest, most personable people to work with. Everything worked out great and they did an excellent job!

We moved in to our house about a year ago, and the trees had been thoroughly neglected by the previous owners. They were too out of hand for me to feel comfortable doing the trimming, so we sought the service of a professional. Zeb (the owner) came out to do the consult himself. The consult cost maybe $150, but I felt like we got a very through and unbiased opinion. It was obvious that the owner *really* likes his work, and is an utter tree n***. Geeking out with him about plants in our yard was really fun! A short time later, we received a document with the opinions from the consult and with all the trees on our property identified (super handy). I decided that I really liked the experience of working with Tree Resource so far, so we asked for an estimate to trim the majority of the trees on the property. I already had an estimate from another company, but the Tree Resource estimate was cheaper, and I felt that the knowledge exhibited by Zeb and his company blew the other guys out of the water. I was out of town for the actual trimming of the trees, but when I returned home the trees looked great! They didnt make any huge changes, but they cleaned up the trees, made sure they were no longer hitting the side of the house, and even cleaned up a ton of the pine needles from the tree in our front yard. The ground was clean and tidy after they left, and they even grabbed a bunch of the dead wood we had piled into the compost bin (they asked permission from my housemates before taking it, of course). I am beyond impressed with everything. They are experienced and it truly shows. They even wrote me a follow up email to make sure I was happy with the service. Good on em!

Oh, they were terrific! First, Alec, the arborist, came and inspected the trees. They had grown to just under 15 feet and we have a height restriction of 6 feet in our community garden. The trees had been trimmed in 2011. Since then I've been angry as bugs and birds had gotten into the trees. Alec said the 2011 trim was done by an untrained person who cut off all the lower branches so the tree had nowhere to go but up. They were so tall we couldn't have picked any cherries if there had turned out to be any. The tree sap was oozing out of two fairly large wounds, the bugs got in there and the birds went after the bugs. There was no saving of the trees. I agreed and signed the contract. Alec came back and cut down the two cherry trees about two inches below the ground level and planted a peach tree in the middle that I had purchased a few days earlier. This sounds straight forward. It wasn't. I broke my foot and was ill. They were so patient. It took a month or more to coordinate with the company to get this job done. Tree Resource will be trimming the peach tree for years to come. I really like the office manager, Abigail, who coordinated everything and who was very kind to me. I had purchased the deal still being offered. $223 for $400 of tree services. Tree Resource gave me a free inspection, removed two trees, planted one tree; I didn't have to pay any more $$and had enough credit left to pay the sales tax. I'm a happy customer.

It wasn't a good deal for me because they didn't do a lot until I had to pay them extra for some other things. They didn't haul anything. For me, they are not a tree cutting service. I thought they were going to have a boom where the guys go up and cut the trees down like we see on the street. The type of service that they did was they have the guy with the rope to go up and trim down the trees.

They service went fine but they were not able to do the work that they were supposed to do and they ended up giving and estimate for future service.

They were very responsive and came right out. There were some yellow jackets who had a nest underneath the tree which attacked them. So they were unable to do the work and recommended I get a pest control service for this. So I am getting this deal refunded.

They showed up on time, were very professional, worked quickly and efficiently, and recommended alternatives to topping additional trees. Great job.

That worked out fine. They arrived when they said they were going to, they did what they said they were going to and so we were satisfied. They just delivered as advertised.

Excellent. From start to finish.

They pruned both trees at least two feet from the gutter. They also hauled the debris to the shredder and cleaned up. There were two people present. They did what they said they would do and provided a couple of helpful suggestions (structural work on the cherry in two years and said the smaller dead undergrowth on the cherry was not worth the work to remove it and that some of it would go away any way after their visit). When I just mentioned thinking about removing one of the Hazelnut trunks myself later on, they offered to remove it and did so in very little time. Nice! I can't remember exactly how long it took but at least two hours, maybe more.

They did an excellent job. Stuart was punctual in coming to give me the bid and then came out on another time on his own just to make sure he had all the details right. We were not in a rush to get this done and scheduling for a little over a month later was no problem. Stuart and one other person came to do the work. We were not home when they did the work, but if it wasn't for the fact there were no trees in that part of the yard + the logs we asked for, we would not have known they had been there. They did a great job and left the yard better than they found it. I plan on using them again for the rest of the items on my bid.

I have no complaints.

They came out and gave an estimate. They recommended a service that I don’t want. I decided to seek a refund with Angie’s List.

Previously I have used a yard work service for tree trimming which was considerably cheaper and completed within a week of when I called. In general, I thought Tree Resource was rather pricey for the work they did (trim 8 fruit trees with $100 credit), but, as noted above, I had never used a certified arborist before. (Tree Resource informed me that my trees had been trimmed incorrectly in the past leading to poor growth.) My biggest issue with this company is that it took several weeks to even schedule an appointment to get a quote on the actual work and then a couple of weeks after that to schedule an appointment to actually complete the work. They then cancelled that appointment but then rescheduled for later that week. The arborist showed up on the rescheduled day but a couple hours before the designated time.

The service happened this morning and I was satisfied. They did some tree pruning on some fruit tree for me. It took them about 3.5 hours. It was nice talking to them and they were friendly. After the job they showed me what was done and they cleaned up everything too. This was the first time I have used them and I would used them again.

It worked out great. I liked their services. They were very professional and they did a great job. The tree looked very symmetrical and they did not harm it. It was a good service. I do not remember if we spent more than the price of the big deal or not. They came out to do the work probably within 30 to 60 days after I purchased the big deal.

I haven't been happy with the big deals. It seems that even though the deal implies that the work can be done in the time allotted on the deal, it always takes longer. It feels like a bait-and-switch game. I can't afford the amount it will cost over and above what the deal includes and need a refund. The company told me they don't like the way the big deals are presented either.

They had to re schedule the appointment but they let me know a head of time. They were on time for the appointment. The service turned out well and they were very professional. They first came out for a consult to explain and educate us about the tree growth. They explained the mistakes the previous pruners made. They also told me when it is an appropriate time to prune and what to expect. They were very knowledgeable and we were pleased with the service. They also helped me decide whether we should remove a tree or not. They told us that the tree was salvageable and saved us from removing

Ben and Alex were prompt and professional. They advised us on removing trees, and were really knowledgable. They did a great job cleaning up and removed all debris. Worth every penny!

We were very happy with them and they also requested that they come back in 2 years for follow up.We are going to use them for that.

They did a good job however, scheduling did not go smoothly. They had sent me an email asking for my contact information even though I had submitted it already through Angie’s List. I had to call them to come out and give an estimate and they never showed up for the appointment, they did not seem to communicate my appointment. I finally had a date set and the night before, they called to tell me they had to re-schedule again. They finally came two weeks later and they came on time. The work they did was good but they are a little expensive.

I would definitely contact this organization again. They spent time talking with me about how they would prune the trees, and they answered my questions. They were very efficient and polite, and listened to my concerns to my satisfaction. They cleaned up all the plant matter from their work.

The service demonstrated professionalism in arranging the service. Today, the work was completed and I am very pleased by the appearance of three trees pruned and shaped.
