The repair specialist arrived the same day i called for service. He was on time, efficient, and personable. He ordered parts and returned two days later to fix my oven. I would definitely call again if my appliances needed service.

First of all, I had called in response to a website for Federal Way Appliance Repair, and ended up talking to a person from Home Advisor, which wasn't my intent (as then I got multiple calls from various companies I hadn't researched). I had a rental refrigerator/freezer that was not cooling sufficiently. The call from this company had a nice woman who I explained the problem to, and she suggested it sounded like a condenser problem, which I understood her to say would cost about $200-250 to replace - which since the frig was otherwise in good shape and replacing would be around $800, I agree to. Tech (Joseph) was scheduled to arrive between 1&3pm. He came at 3:30 (when tenant had to leave, so required me to make a 2nd trip of the day to the apt). Joseph arrived with poor attitude, complaining about his pay (apparently on commission). He became more disappointed when he reported to me that the condenser WAS the issue, but said that it was a "contained system", so replacement would require disassembly, replacement of the condenser and coils, costing around $1,000! (not the $250 I was told on the phone, convincing me worth a repair rather than replacement). Joseph advised against the repair - telling me how it cost him to even come out to look. He also charged me $109 for the service call - something the scheduler hadn't mentioned to me. SO...my tenant (who waited from 1-3pm) and I ended up taking extra time out of our day waiting & meeting the repairman; I had to pay $109 for a service call that only diagnosed the problem already suspected talking by phone; and ended up having to buy a new frig anyway! If the scheduler guessed it was the condenser, knew the model#, etc., why did she quote me $250 repair rather than the $1k estimated cost? Lesson learned... ask about service call charge. And, suggest the tech arrive with a better attitude! (He said did say that they normally can fix 80% of appliances). Thinking I'll go back to my normal practice of dispose and replace - which I hate doing, but seems to be the way things are built these days. By the way, it was a 16 cu ft Whirlpool top freezer frig bought new only 6 years ago (they say the average lifespan of a refrigerator is 15 years) ... going back to the GE refrigerators I normally buy... one 80-90% US made.

Immediate call back. Explained cost and scheduled appointment for the next day The technician called to advise when he would arrive. He diagnosed the problem and repaired within the hour. I would recommend this company to anyone
