Job went great,, the installers found an issue with the way my new back sliding glass door would fit, fixed the issue and had it installed quickly! They arrived on time, got right to work, answered all my questions, when the boss arrived to deliver some supplies, he made sure I was happy and gave me an estimate for the rest of the house window replacements. Very happy with the short time frame from contacting him to actual install date ( less than a week ) . Highly recommended!!! P.S. This a late update to add some before and after photos, and price of the windows that were installed...House looks awesome thanks to theses guys!!

We started with them in summer, and I have asked them to do some more work for me. They do a very find job. They took old living room windows in 3 locations, and they replaced with heavy duty windows, and in other places they replaced them with wood frame windows. I didn't have to go in, I talked to them a lot the first time, and they are really easy to work with. I would highly recommend them. I didn't do a lot of comparison shopping, I got one man to give me a bid, and I couldn't understand the bid. The windows are working so far, and after they installed the windows, we noticed that there was caulking missing, and they came right out. They cleaned up after themselves, and they were prompt, and they would come out when they said they would. When I call them they call back, and if I need copies of invoices during tax time they send them to me. They are very good. There was one time when they were running behind schedule and owner came, and he was working.

I went with R & L because they were very responsive. I called two other larger companies, but one didn't call back for over a week and another was nearly as unresponsive. Randy came out the next day and took measurements after I left a request. I felt the price was reasonable, and due to the unresponsiveness of the other companies, went with R & L on the spot. A week or so later Randy's two man crew came out and had the windows replaced in about an hour. Their work looks great. I get the feeling that they are a small but scrappy company that has to produce good work or they won't be in business long. Great job. I would definitely recommend R & L.

Did the windows in the front of my house. We chose to go with a more quality window over lowest price. Randy suggested a window called the royal line from comfort Design. Never asked for another penny over the contract price and was very helpful. Project took two days and we will be calling RNL glass out to do the back of our home once our tax return come in! Two windows had been installed sliding the wrong way, which was a miscommunication. They reversed them with no complaint. A slider upstairs was installed sliding the wrong way, and they said they would change it, but we decided it was fine where it was. The one issue was that one window had the wrong size grids, so they had to order a new one. They had US contact the manufacturer to set up an appointment, and 3 weeks later, they came out with another wrong window. Then their flakey receptionist kept calling to schedule an appt we already had and said if would be another month to get it installed because she didn't have us down. We were wondering why WE had to deal with this, as we hired R & L glass to do our windows, not the manufacturers. I asked that R &L take care of this, as I was tired of the run around. THEY needed to install the window, and get us out of the middle. The owner should have responded. Never heard from him and the manufacture installed the window.

We invited Randy from RandL windows to come out and give us a estimate on our windows. We liked that they were a local company and I heard about them from some of the folks at church who had them out. He was our third estimate. He was straight forward very knowledgeable and just a absolute pleasure to work with. He came in at a lower price than the two other bids and in our opinion had a much nicer window to offer with a lifetime warranty. We signed up with Randy on the spot and 3 weeks later we were enjoying our new windows.

It went very well. The estimator, Adam, came out and scheduled right away. Everything went very smoothly, and on time. One of the windows came with clouded glass, which I did not want, and they fixed it right away. They were great.

Randy was very punctual and professional. We have a 1970s split level home with several uniquely shaped windows. Randy's pricing fit our budget the best out of 4-5 bids. During installation, one of the windows was accidentally cracked and they remedied this right away. They were thorough and efficient during the installation. About a year later one of the double-hung window latches broke. This became a manufacturer issue but we contacted Randy first. The manufacture took care of the repair but it took a bit of time. These are not the highest end windows, but suite our needs and look great. They also provide a bit more energy efficiency and UV protection.

Great communication before, during and after. Randy sent out a 3 man crew and they really knew their business. Arrived on time and the job was completed super fast and at a great price! Excellent at the removal and installation, protecting the floors and other areas they worked in and a super job at cleaning up. Job was done for the exact price quoted. I will definitely use R & L Windows for future jobs and highly recommend their work!

They were prompt in estimating the cost and they did a good job. We asked for their senior discount as indicated on Angies list, but the service man who installed our window said he was unable to give the discount and did not bother to contact his boss.

I started getting estimates back in April of this year,six to be exact....then I put the project on hold. I was overwhelmed and confused with grid styles and window selection...so many options out there. I was ready to readdress the project in September. I called back R & L because I felt that Adam was easy to work with and more importantly to me, he has great style suggestions and he actually listened to my concerns. This company didn't come in as the least expensive but I definately got my money's worth. I am more than satisfied with the end result. The inside looks as good as the outside...they trimmed all the inside windows...that is something I didn't have prior.

When the time came for them to come measure our windows, they didn't show up. They were supposed to come do the measurements on Saturday Aug. 3rd, within a 4 hour window, and they just didn't come. They never called to reschedule, and we haven't heard from them since. We have no clue what happened.

The were fast and the result looked great. They sent 3 people to do the work. The installers took time to explain how to operate the single hung window and left all the paperwork we needed for our energy rebate.

We interviewed MANY window companies. We joined Angie's List after the first group of interviews because we weren't satisfied with bids we had received. We chose R&L because we felt they were offering the best windows at the best price. We received a very complete and accurate bid. Adam followed up to see if we had questions. He spent a lot of time answering our questions and we never felt rushed or pressured. We are very glad we chose R&L. The installation process went very well. The team of three installers and the owner all worked very well together and seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. When some rotting wood was discovered under the French doors, they replaced it. They cleaned up so well, that they actually left the house cleaner than when they arrived. There were a few bumps along the way, but they addressed everything quickly and to our satisfaction. We are delighted with the new windows and doors. The original windows were aluminum double pane and we are amazed at the difference between the new and old windows. It feels like we had air conditioning installed as well. We have many large southwest facing windows and we used to be quite uncomfortable on warm summer days. Now we can leave the shades up and let the summer sun shine in and the house stays cool. We learned very quickly that we need to leave windows open at night in the summer because the new windows maintain the previous evening's temperature so well that the house doesn't cool down overnight. We are looking forward to lower heating bills this winter. If we had realized what a huge difference new windows would make, we would have done this sooner.

We have a very old house (1927) with significant wear on windows and woodwork. We had 3 bids already from other companies but we were not satisfied with the bids nor the installation process because they contracted out their installation and we would have had to hire a separate carpenter to do the woodwork on the windows that needed it. We wanted a windows installer that could do the whole job: installation and woodwork. We finally subscribed to Angie's list and found R&L Glass. Our experience with R&L was very good from start to finish. We first met with Adam who assessed our situation and made recommendations. He was very professional and knowledgable and brought window samples we could actually look at and touch and feel. None of the other companies did this. During our 2 hour meeting we received a bid that was significantly lower than the other 3 we had and we made our decision to go with R&L. Within a couple of days, Adam came back with Randy to take exact measurements, and our install date was set for 2 weeks out. It was a total of 3 weeks from the first meeting until the installation. The install took two 6 hour days. A team of 3 arrived on both days. They were professional, efficient and pleasant, even though some of the windows were a pain to remove. Many of them were painted shut from several layers of paint over the years and several had wood rot. They finished the job and cleaned up to our satisfaction. They were accommodating with our questions and any concerns we brought up during the work. They explained what they were doing and how and why. We are so happy with our new windows! They changed the whole feel of the house. We trusted Adam's advice to go with the Queen Anne design - he was so right! We will be hiring R&L next year to complete the remaining 13 windows. I would highly recommend R&L - they KNOW windows - and they are creative in suggesting options and ideas. It was a great experience for our first BIG home project! We have already made 2 referrals. The installers did pretty good job. They were on time and completed the job in a day as promised. They had really good price also compared to about 3 others that provided the estimates.

The crew was very professional and easy to talk to, Adam was very helpful in getting the missing parts from the warehouse. He even replaced a damaged door handle on the sliding glass door. Randy didn't like some of the trim they had so he ran out to Home depot and got some more and finished the job himself. I will say that I am 95% satisfied in their work and will be 100% when my new sliding screen door is put in.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased for $1,499 for 5 windows including installation. They were quick, they were efficient, they did a great job, and they cleaned up after themselves. Their responsiveness was great. Altogether, it was a positive experience for us.

Randy is wonderfully responsive and responsible. He communicated with me immediately after I bought the Big Deal to set up a time to come and measure the windows. He had to wait for me to get back in town, and was very responsive when I contacted him to do the measuring. He brought his product to show us which helped in our decisions on how to proceed. The windows took a little longer to come in than expected. Randy called me about a week after we signed the contract to inform me. When the windows arrived, I was able to schedule the set up within the week. Two men arrived and began working right away. They replaced a total of 9 windows and a door. The windows look great. Considering I had 2 windows installed by Anderson Renewal which cost $4000 and two men took the day to install them (plus some siding work)??I have to say I feel like I got a great deal paying $3000 for 4 windows and a sliding glass door! I don't know what the difference was, but each company took 8 hours to complete the jobs. Hopefully the windows will work just as well.

Showed up late (called a few minutes after he was supposed to arrive to say he was late, showed up around 30 min later). Small company which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I wasn't impressed with how he tried to sell me his product, and he gave me no indication that I could trust in his quality of work. Every other bid stated the glass door would take a few days and described the issues (which I already knew) they'd have with the installation. He said it was an easy simple door they could slap up in less than a day. The biggest turn off for me was when he said if I was turning the house (fixing it to sell) he'd show me the cheap windows to put in, but would recommend the mid range ones since I want to stay. Was a nice guy but didn't earn my business

Adam came out for the estimate and was very knowledge and professional. We ended up going with another company only for warranty of product, otherwise we would have gone with R & L. Adam went above and beyond to help with this project in the design and to keep the budget down.

We called on march 25, 2013 and about 2 days later Adam came and gave us a free estimate. After the estimate we set something up, they ordered the window & doors and 2 weeks the came to install everything. The job took about a 1 1/2 days, which is what we were told, and every thing looks great. They had great finacing thru a local credit union for an unsucured loan with a rate that was lower that the rate from our personal bank. Overall the process was good and I would recommiend R&L window.

I had a great experience with R&L. The appointment was very easy to schedule, Adam came on-time, was very knowledgeable about different window options. He made some very good recommendations and design suggestions for me that I would never thought of and the windows look great. He gave me different options on certain placements for a picture window that would help keep the cost down, and gave me options to exclude certain windows if that fit my budget better. Their price was very reasonable and was 20% lower than another highly rated window contractor on Angie's list. It took about 2 weeks for the windows to come in and they did the complete install in one day. I left for work and came home to brand new windows with no other evidence that they were here because everything was left really clean. This has been the easiest project to date =)
