Response from Apollo Plumbing
This member purchased the Big Deal water heater flush and home plumbing inspection for $49. Our plumber arrived at scheduled time and began services by performing the water heater flush. After the flush was complete, the water heater was inspected for safe, proper operation. The emergency pressure release valve was found to have been plumbed in an unsafe and incorrect manner. Our plumber then suggested the emergency relief valve be re plumbed to correct the safety issue for an additional cost of 54.30. The homeowner agreed and the plumber completed the repair. Also, included in the deal, was a whole house plumbing inspection. After completing the water heater flush and repair, our plumber commenced the home plumbing inspection. He began by checking the water meter for signs of leakage from the entire home plumbing system. No problem found. He then located the outside sewer clean-out for the homeowners future reference and maintenance needs. The outside hose faucets were also inspected for freeze damage from the previous Winter. All faucets passed. Our plumber then requested access to the inside of the home to complete the inspection. The inspection includes both outdoor and indoor plumbing. The homeowner informed the plumber there were two large dogs in the house and it was unsafe for him to go inside. Our plumber suggested he could wait while the dogs were safely put away and he could then complete the inspection. The homeowner declined. We are not sure why. After reading this review, it was clear to me the homeowner was not satisfied with the service. We contacted the homeowner to see if there was anything we could do to improve the experience. The homeowner indicated the source of dissatisfaction was the incomplete plumbing inspection? We agreed to return at no charge to complete the inspection. An appointment was set. Upon the second visit, just prior to the appointment time, our plumber made courtesy call to the customer. This is standard practice. There was no answer. Sometime later, a second call was made. Still no answer. Just in case the homeowner was for some reason unable to answer the phone, we came out at the agreed upon time. Nobody was home. Our plumber made an additional courtesy call and remained on site for nearly one hour. Still, no call back or sign of the customer. We left a business card. We still have not heard back from this customer, but will be reaching out again soon in an effort to resolve any misunderstanding. Dan Barger -owner
