Apollo Plumbing

We have used Apollo Plumbing & Drain Cleaning several times over the past few years. Two of the three people at the company are very nice. One of them is brusque and does not have good customer manner. This company recommended another one for a job they could not handle, which we appreciated.

Considering the purchase of a four plex, I contacted Apollo Plumbing to check existing plumbing. The service tech show up on time and with a good understanding of what was requested. Due to the condition of the plumbing and water service being turned off, the tech was unable to perform tests with out making many repairs. He perfomed a dry visual inspection and provided estimates for work. The service charge was covered by the Angies List "offer" or discount and no charge was incurred. I did not purchase the four plex but I will use Apollo Plumbing for my next need.

Appollo plumbings service man Matt is very well mannered and explains things as he goes along with his work. I really appreciate the fact that he cleans up the area after he finishes the job. This is the second time I've had Appollo plumbing do work, very good to work with and does a great job. If I need anymore work done I will call Appollo plumbing and have them send Matt out to do the job.

The house drains were draining slowly. This was an off and on problem for a while and using a snake did not cure the problem. I called Apollo plumbing. Mathew G. showed up to clear the problem. He brought the correct equipment, did an excellent and through job. He was very professional, likeable, and dedicated to doing excellent work. He used cloths and coverings to keep my house clean and cleaned up the work area very well. If I had a business I would like Mathew to be one of my employees. Apollo Plumbing is my Go To company for plumbing work.

Great experience. Arrived within 1 minute of estimate. Performed everything as expected. Found a small leak the next day. They were out within 40 minutes and fixed it promptly. Great people to work with.

A representative from Apollo Plumbing contacted me to remind me to set up an appointment for the deal I purchased. This was a nice gesture because sometimes one can forget to use a purchased deal. They also made sure I understood what services I was getting, and gave me a few options as to the type of toilets I could choose from, as well as possible additional costs. They arrived on time and got the work done quickly and efficiently. Paul (?) was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. And since he had the caulking tube in his hand, he even caulked a bathtub faucet that needed it at no extra charge. Dan, the owner, had helped me a long time ago with a different leaky faucet problem. I explained the problem to him and he gave me a lot of coaching over the phone as to how we could fix it ourselves, if we wanted to (now that doesn't happen often!). I have no complaints. I would have no hesitation using Apollo Plumbing again or recommending them.

The handle on our toilet broke and I wasn't about to let my husband fix it again (he started a slow leak last time he tried to fix it). I called Apollo Plumbing hoping that they could send someone out the next day (since it was 2pm already). I mentioned the special listed on the site for a $67 toilet check-up, and that I had one toilet with a broken handle. The very polite gentleman on the phone told me not to worry, and he'd have someone out this afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised, and received a call from Matthew, the plumber who did the work, about 30 minutes later asking me for my address again due to an extra digit that was accidentally entered. He told me he'd be up between 4 and 4:30 to do the work. He arrived at 4:15 and began work right away. Matthew was knowledgeable and affable, and thoroughly checked out the first toilet noting things that needed to be checked. He explained what he was looking at, and answered all of my inane questions on how it all works. He then did the same with the second toilet, and explained the additional charges to fix the broken handle. This initial price was higher than expected, but still well within my budget for the project ($250). He did the work quickly and efficiently, and used quality parts which made the higher price understandable. When one flapper didn't seal to his satisfaction, he went and got another until he was sure the toilet was working perfectly. We're very happy with the service, and when it comes time to replace the toilets and water heater, Apollo will be first on our list to call.

My husband and I recently purchased a house. We had a home inspection done and found the drain pipes in the basement to be leaking. We contacted multiple plumbing companys to get bids. We found that a few of them wanted to charge us to come out and give a bid. When we contacted Apollo we asked if they gave free bids. Dan (the owner) told me that it was a free estimate. He sent out Matt. Matt went through the house and did a full inspection of our pipes. Matt provided us with a bid to replace the pipes in the basement. Apollos bid was the best priced amongst the other two contractors. We contacted Apollo and let them know that we wanted to hire them. Being that we were in the process of moving into our house it was important that we have the work done as soon as possible. Dan told us that wouldn't be a problem and put us on the schedule for a next day start. Matt arrived the next day and got started. He tore out the old pipes and replaced them with the new pipes. The project took him two full days. He was very professional and polite start to finish. He hauled away the old pipes and cleaned up the work area where he had been working. Overall it was an easy and smooth experiance woking with Apollo plumbing.

We heard sounds coming from behind our bathroom wall, called Dan and he came out the next morning, discovered the problem, told me everything I needed to know. He completed the job in approximately 50 minutes. So overall it went great!

I called several plumbers and they were the first to respond. Mark from Apollo came to the house and diagnosed the problem and provided an estimate. I was impressed with the professional manner which Mark conducted himself. The price seemed very reasonable and so I commissioned them to make the necessary repairs. The next time I need plumbing service I'm calling Apollo Plumbing. I would recommend them to a friend.

Water bill came. Used 24,000 gallons (usual 3,000) Called Apollo Plumbing on Wednesday. Dan came out same day. Had to get permits from city. Dan took care of all that. Then Mathew showed up and began work. Put in new water line, and new shut off in garage. Back filled hole. Plumbing done by Friday. Saturday, cement masons arrive and finish up sidewalk. Monday landscaper came and corrected lawn issues around water problems. Everything taken care of to my satisfaction. Apolo plumbing (Dan and Mathew) reachable by phone. No stalls or problems. Thank you for a great attitude, personal service, and problem solving.

This was the second time I have used Apollo Plumbing, and it's going to be the last. I called them because after they replaced my garbage disposal a couple of months ago, I developed a slow leak under my kitchen sink. Mark came out and investigated, and informed me that this time the problem was a leaky faucet which would have to be replaced. After being told that the faucet finish I wanted (a white one) would be difficult or impossible to obtain, I told him that my second choice would be brushed nickel, and indicated a make and model that I was willing to settle for. He quoted me a price ($350 installed). He arrived this morning with two faucets, one chrome and one brushed nickel. I reiterated that I wanted the nickel finish. He asked me if he had quoted me a price on it. I said he'd told me $350. Well, turns out that price was for the basic chrome - which I'd said all along I did not want - and the nickel one costs $75 more. This is the second time I've come away from my interaction with Apollo with a rather bad taste in my mouth. They may or may not be honest and above-board, but I just don't care for the way they do business. Next time I need a plumber, I'll be calling someone else.

We needed an overhaul of our sink as well we were having some issues with our dishwasher draining properly. We found Apollo Plumbing on Angies List with a very high rating. We called and emailed Apollo Plumbing. We received an email back from promptly addressing our questions and asking to set up a time to speak on the phone about the project. After it was determined what needed to be done, they were incredibly helpful in ordering the parts and scheduling the service. From the time my original email was sent to the time the job was done was inside a week, this includes picking and ordering parts and doing the actual work - I was blown away. Everything was done with such professionalism and courtesy. The communication level was above and beyond what I'd ever imagine. I was just completely floored with Apollo Plumbing from start to finish. I will use them for EVERYTHING plumbing related that I ever need done. Thank you Apollo Plumbing!

The technician came out to look at the project. He looked at the existing hose bib and advised that the current one was frost free and wasn't leaking. He said he could replace it but I really didn't need to. I appreciated his honesty. He was very professional and polite.

They came out quickly after I called even though it was not an emergency. The installer was on time and called before arriving to say he was close. On arrival he explained what the process would be and then, through the process, he showed me what he was doing, explained the steps and made sure that if I had questions, he addressed them. When all was done, he took me through how to maintain the unit and procedures for lighting the pilot if needed. All in all, it was well done with good attention to detail.

Mark was the plumber who showed on time looked at the problem, gave me 2 options for faucet replacement and got the install completed within an hour. Real nice guy who took pride in work and did a great job.

I had another plumbing company replace my water heater and plumb my new kitchen sink earlier in the year. They did good work but the price of add-ons was obscene. So I decided I wanted to find a better I saw ads on TV about Apollo Plumbing and I joined Angie's List to find Apollo was a highly respected company with great reviews. The reviews on Angie's List were outstanding so I called them. They were able to come out in quickly. In fact, a plumber was sent out that day to just take a look and assess the situation. He came by Saturday morning and isolated the problem. Within a couple days, Matt was sent to install three new Toto Drake ADA height toilets with self-closing lids. I have rarely seen anyone as professional and competent as Matt. He tells you exactly what he will do before doing it. Matt takes immense pride in his work and I can't find adequate words for his outstanding work. He takes the quality of his work personal. He is also very professional, personable and fun to tak to. It was a privilege to have met such an outstanding individual. Matt removed and replace all three toilets and replaced all three angle stops because they leaked when turning on or off the water to the toilets. There were some issues with the toilet installation but Apollo Plumbing stands behind their work and solved the issues quickly. A couple days later, Matt replaced the PRV and the groaning noise stopped and more importantly, as Matt explained, it is essential to reduce the incoming water pressure to avoid damage to inside plumbing and fixtures. The company and the employees are first and foremost interested in excellent work and happy customers. I absolutely recommend Apollo Plumbing and will use them again for any plumbing needs I may have in the future.

Matthew Gardner, from Apollo Plumbing, did an outstanding job. He arrived promptly, analyzed and clearly explained what needed to be done, and proceeded to accomplish everything in a very thorough and professional manner. His workmanship is top-notch. Each of the three tasks mentioned above was labor-intensive to ensure the job was done right. The installation of the sump pump required digging in hard ground and even slopping some mud, but a few days of constant rain since the job was completed has verified that the set up should work trouble-free for a long time. Thank you Matthew, that is a big relief for us. Based on Angie's List ratings, and our own experience, Apollo has become our go-to plumbing service!

Apollo plumbing may have been a little late, but they were great about calling me ahead of time and keeping me apprised of the situation. He explained everything to me, and gave me my options. (Wouldn't you know it, there was no "drip" when he arrived.) I ended up going for one of the options, as I knew the silly thing would start dripping again another time. We bought a new home with several plumbing issues. Based on Angie's List, I called Apollo Plumbing. They came out the same day to look at the problem and make repairs. One toilet had a very bad leak and needed to be completely rebuilt. A second toilet also had a slow leak. At first, they tried a rebuild, but when that didn't work, they completely replaced the toilet at no extra charge. I was very impressed with Matt's professionalism and personality. He thoroughly explained what the problems were and what would be needed to fix them. Our bathrooms are functioning perfectly now with no problems. I will definitely be using these guys again in the future.

It was a very difficult and complicated job. They were prompt in getting out there and took care of it right away. I had several quotes and they were the cheapest. The owner was really easy to work with. He provided me some information about the costing over phone, but the job was tremendously different than what he had expected, but he handled that pretty well. He explained to me why my project was much more than a normal project. He had to work with two other crews to do the digging and other tasks associated. I was pretty impressed that he was able to pull all that together in a pretty short amount of time.

My toilet was taking a long time to fill and finally would no longer stop running. I was able to make temporary fix until they could come to out to assess/fix. It was on Saturday afternoon but Dan still squeezed me in. Found that I needed a new toilet. Mark was extremely helpful in explaining my options, providing information, making recommendations for the replacement and going the extra mile for me. Matthew returned on Monday with the replacement and did a meticulous job of installing it. I discovered a leak a couple days later and Matthew was out right away. He found that the tank was defective. I understand that problems with the Toto brand are a very rare event. Rather than trying to repair it, Dan ordered a new tank and they were back to replace it the next workday. It has worked perfectly since then. I was very pleased that Dan has his staff use tried-and-true parts and methods. I would use Apollo Plumbing again without reservation.
