Apollo Plumbing

We had recently purchased a new home and was in discovery mode for determining plumbing issues. Matthew, an Apollo plumber, was on site the next day after I called for an appointment. He was professional, informative, and up front about what could and could not be done. Three different repairs were pursued, all with idiosyncratic issues intrinsic to the property. Matthew displayed great patience, perseverance and ingenuity in pursuing solutions that would work. We were very satisfied with Mathew?s level of service.

Originally contacted Apollo Plumbing to replace a water heater when mine was leaking. I called in the morning and the new water heater was in that afternoon. They were professional and the quality of work was good. Several months later, when I thought the water heater stopped working I called them again. They were there within a couple of hours to take a look. There was nothing wrong with the water heater; the pilot light simply went out. My experience with Apollo Plumbing has been positive; their response is quick and they are always professional. I would not think twice contacting them again.

He showed up right about 9:30 Should have been here between 9-11. So very prompt. Asked what was going on with the toilet I told him and showed him where the toilet was in/out in less than a half an hour. He will definitely use him again. As a matter of fact, when we got home and going over what was wrong with the stove she mentioned that the kitchen sink water pressure is very low. Called right away and will see if he can come back tonight :)

The work went well and have not had problems since. Mathew Gardner did the work and is very detailed and punctual.

This job went very poorly. When I first spoke with the owner, Daniel, he had agreed to come out and assess the problem in a rental house that my husband and I own. After assessing the problem and repairing the pea-trap underneath the kitchen sink, the owner called me and said they would come and repair the clogged sink the next day. Well, they never returned the next day. Even though they had been at this house before, they indicated to me that they only conducted service in their County and did not service rental properties either, yet they had come to this house in the past and knew it was a rental and not in their County. They also objected to the fact that my husband wanted to be at the house when they did the job to see how much work was involved in fixing the clogged kitchen sink and a water leak underneath the sink . They also would not accept the "Big Deal", which I had purchased. Instead, I was told to get a refund from Angies List for the "Big Deal" I had purchased. My opinion regarding this whole ordeal is that Apollo Plumbing should have finished the job they started and not call at the very last minute and back out of their obligation. They could have let us know after they had completed the job that from now on they would no longer be servicing residential locations out of their County and not leave me and my tenants on the lurch the way they did. Please think twice before hiring this outfit. Don't let my experience be yours.

The technician showed up on time. He quickly assessed the situation and provided me an estimate to do the work, and indicated that after removing the drain he may be able to reduce the cost if the job looked less involved. (In the end, he was able to reduce the cost by $50.) He also provided me with the cost saving option of opening up the drywall myself, which saved a significant amount of money. Once the ceiling was opened, he was able to get in and complete the job quickly. The thing that impressed me the most was the politeness and professionalism of our technician. He made sure to explain what he was doing throughout the process, and continually checked in to make sure we didn't have any questions or concerns. Finally, since they don't do drywall repairs, he explained what needed to be done, and provided a reference for a good drywall person. Altogether a great experience. I would highly recommend Apollo.

I purchased a $99 promotion on Angie's list to replace an outdoor faucet and inspect water service. After I purchased the deal, I received a letter from the water district saying I had a leak somewhere based on my water usage. We looked at the water meter running and he explained how to turn off the water and look at it again to determine if the leak was in the house or between the house and meter. Luckily it was in the house. So he told me how to do the food coloring test in each toilet tank to test for leaks, since none of the toilets could be heard running. The outdoor faucet was replaced too. Since my PRV had never been replaced in my 28 year old house he gave me an estimate to do that, along with the dual angle stop replacement under the kitchen sink. That night I was able to determine which toilet was leaking and tried to adjust the ball c***. It broke because it was so corroded. So I called Apollo to see if he could also replace the toilet part when he came the next day to do the rest of the work in the estimate. All work was done, he was always on time, which I appreciated. Later that night I noticed a small leak coming from the garbage disposal so I called him to see if he could adjust it to get rid of the leak. The disposal had been removed and reinstalled to change the dual angle stop under the sink. He said no problem and adjusted it the next day after I came home from work. I'm very happy with their service.

This company is quite overpriced. The plumber charged me $217.91 to replace a toilet seat that I had already purchased. He also installed a garbage disposal that I had also purchased before the service, and charged me $337.17. I called and asked if that was the right price, and the woman that I spoke with agreed that it was too expensive. The plumber himself refunded $100 to me, but it was still overpriced.

While it was not quite an emergency it was a ticking time bomb for being a disaster. I found Apollo on Angie's List and they were able to get Matthew out to our home the same day. I received a courtesy phone call from Matthew explaining he was a licensed plumber, what time he would he would be there, and asked me to describe the problem. So prior to arriving, which he arrived a few minutes within his quoted time, he had the necessary parts. Professional beyond explanation. As intuitive as you want him to be, he will give you the option. Prior to leaving Matthew gave me tips on how to maintain a proper water heater which in the long run would save us money. A positive experience from a top notch "smaller" company.

The plumber, Matthew, was courteous and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to do any repair work given the minimal clearance, and we greatly appreciate his honesty about that. He did ask us if we had any other plumbing issues or questions and we did. He was able to making some very good suggestions for how to upgrade some of the other valves, hoses and fixtures in our 20+ yr-old house, which we found to be very helpful.

I had a leak under my sink in the kitchen. I called Apollo plumbing and they sent someone right away! I was really impressed with how fast and friendly they always are.I have used Apollo in the past and they are always prompt and professional. The plumber came out and was able to see what the issue was right away. He was able to fix my leak and was willing to look at a few other projects I have been thinking about doing. I have used other plumbers in the past and have found that Apollo is always very reasonable in their pricing. They are defiantly my go to company for all my plumbing needs.

I originally had been told by a friend that the leakage into the bowl (I did the food dye test) and intermittent running might be due to a gasket under the flapper. When I couldn't get to the gasket myself, I called Apollo. The gentleman, Matthew, showed up on time, even a bit early, and was very polite and used "Ma'am" a lot in accordance with his prior military service. He looked at the toilet and said it was the flapper. The part had to be special ordered and I said I'd buy an extra from him in case the 3rd toilet ever went. We discussed how Apollo had recently had a coupon for a "toilet tune up" for around (I thought) $69, so he said he would honor that price for one toilet, thought a bit, and said he'd do the second toilet for $70. Plus $25 for the extra flapper, because he had to make a small profit on it, which was about $4. I did say I would likely watch him do the work on the first toilet, then do the second on my own. He called me the next day and needed the model number of the toilet so he could get the part number for the toilet, and thus the flapper (how could he quote me a price the day before without knowing what it even cost, I wonder?) Over the weekend it began to dawn on me that I was being charged $70. Per toilet. To replace a flapper. Which I (and anyone) can do themselves...remember...I originally thought it was that gasket. So I did research, called the company, got my own part numbers, and found flappers for $7.19 each. Since entire fill valves were only about $15, I bough the whole assembly. (What's also interesting is that I had asked Matthew about replacing the entire fill valve assembly because that gasket underneath was disintegrating, and I was told that would really be too costly and it was best to wait.) The company also explained to me how to get that darn gasket out...it's screwed in from under the tank. I called Matthew on Monday and told him I really didn't want to pay $70 to replace a flapper, or $25 for a part I can get for $7.19, so I got the assemblies. He offered to come put one in to show me how to put it in, and I could do the second myself, after stressing several times there would be no warranty on the part, only the labor. At $15 to buy another part, I obviously was not concerned. However, the fact is, when these parts arrive, I will simply drain the water from the tank, unbolt the tank and lift it, unscrew the fill valve assembly, and screw the new one on. All for $15 for each toilet. (Did I mention I am a woman?) If I end up needing help, I won't be calling Apollo. [Estimate Coste $140.00]

I bought the outdoor faucet replacement deal. The provider responded quickly, and set up an appointment. When the plumber arrived and looked at our faucet he determined the deal did not apply to our faucet (faucet pipe was too short, and going through Mortar). It would have been over $200 more to complete the work. We declined, and he said I could easily get a refund for the deal.

Was punctual, knowledgeable and efficient.

When the cable company had been out & reported a very rusty pipe with some standing water under the house we feared the worst. We called Apollo Plumbing at 6:30 pm on a Friday night and they were able to come out the next morning with no extra charge for coming out on the weekend! They arrived at the scheduled time & was very friendly, courteous & professional. He quickly located the problem was coming from the shower drain flange & it had been so rusty that it was barely hanging on! He replaced it and was on his way in no time. We will definitely call them again for moving the plumbing around in our kitchen!

We bought a new kitchen sink and faucet. We used Angie's List to find a local plumber and decided to call Apollo Plumbing based on excellent ratings and reviews. In the meantime, our kitchen drain was clogged. We called Apollo over the weekend and they were able to come out Monday. They would have come on Sunday to unclog the drain, but we made the decision to do everything at once. Daniel was able to come earlier than planned. He was professional, friendly and informative. He took care of the drain issue by removing old pipe and installing new pipe. Daniel also recommended and installed a larger garbage disposal as well as the new sink and faucet. There was a problem with the sink after installation. Dan gave us excellent and prompt customer service. The issue was taken care of without additional cost to us. We are completely satisfied with the work and service Apollo plumbing provided to us. We would use them again and have no hesitation recommending them to others.

We have used Apollo Plumbing twice now. Once to fix our water heater and once to redo the plumbing under our kitchen sink. They were absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond my expectations. I called on a Saturday and set up a monday appointment. I had to reschedule and they were great about it. They came out today when I requested and showed up on time! We would recommend them to anyone who needs their help and will definitely be using their services again in the future.

The technician was very calm, he let me talk and voice my frustrations. He walked me through all of the steps (while performing them). He was very professional and I was happy at the end.

Matthew was the person in charge of things for this job. As everyone before me has stated he could not be more respectful and explained everything that was being done. A great young man for the Apollo Plumbing company to have working for them. So to replace the main water pipe for the house, from the street to the house, was approximately 27 feet. The house sits lower than the road and drilling was necessary. There was some question if this could be accomplished with the "trench-less" method and there was a good possibility that some of the yard and rockery would have to be hand dug to get the job done because of the angle. As it turned out they were able to get all the way from the water meter to under the house without digging up the yard. Yeah! This took approximately a day to do just that part of the job. All the rest of the things they did took another day to day and a half. They were on the job every day on time and stayed all day. Matthew explained every thing being done along the way. I know that they did an outstanding job. The reason I gave them a B for price is because it was an EXPENSIVE job. That being said, I did do my research and got a couple of other estimates and I believe the price was fair and reasonable. They (as all plumbing companies do) had to hire an outside company to come in and do the drilling (which by the way Matthew supervised) and were there on the job for 2 1/2 to 3 days. Matthew had a coworker with him the whole time. I would hire this company again and would recommend them to everyone.

When I purchased the coupon I called the provider to set up an appointment. We set it for a week out due to my work schedule. On the service date I was called and was told that they couldn't make it that day due to a service emergency & all their other Techs were busy. I told them that I would have to check in with them to reschedule due to my work schedule & I that was going out of town. On Tuesday, I called them to say that my afternoon was open if they had a Tech available. They called back promptly & said that there was a Tech available & he would be sent out. When the Tech arrived he surveyed the problem (leaky shower faucets)and told me that due to the age of the house & galvanized piping that it probably would require a partial re-pipe & estimated it at minimum $375. I thought that this was going to be a quick job, but apparently it's not. I can't afford that amount at this time, especially if the cost runs over that. Tech was very friendly, offered some suggestions, but I cannot afford to do this project at this time. Tech suggested that I contact Angie's List to get a refund on my coupon as no service was performed.

Matthew was the young man that came out. It went very well and he did a very good job. He knew exactly what he was doing and was very nice.

We have had a non-functioning/leaking outdoor faucet since we bought our house 3 years ago. Apollo Plumbing had a special on Angie's List to do this job for $100. We purchased this service and at the time of purchase we were asked to suggest possible days for the work to be done. Within a couple of hours of the purchase we were contacted and were notified that we were on the schedule for our first choice of day/time. We were given a 1 hour window for when the plumber would show up. On the morning of the job, the plumber, Matthew, showed up right in the middle of the 1 hour window. He could not have been more friendly and professional. He did the job quickly and the work seems to be of great quality. He explained exactly what he was doing, gave us good information about our existing plumbing, and dealt with the audience of our two toddlers like a pro! We couldn't have asked for a better experience and we will definitely contact Apollo for any future plumbing needs. Thanks!
