My kitchen sink suddenly stopped draining so I (naturally) grabbed my latest Angie's List booklet and found Apollo Plumbing. They were able to send someone out almost right away since one of their plumbers was just finished with his last call. Matthew arrived within the timeframe he said he would (about 35 min) and discovered that the stoppage was right at the pipes under the sink, so snaking the line wasn't necessary. The problem was mainly due to badly installed plumbing by the previous owner, one section of pipe that actually went UP to drain! Matthew cleaned out everything and, because the pipes were so badly configured, I asked him to replace all of them. Matthew did a great job, even washing clean the space under my sink with some water that had spilled. Matthew was efficient, polite, professional and explained everything clearly. If I should ever have another plumbing problem, Apollo Plumbing will be the first company I call.

Scheduling with Debbie was very quick and easy. Within a day of making the request we had someone scheduled for the following Monday. When Monday morning arrived Debbie called with the news that the plumber scheduled was sick but that she had a back up who could come a couple hours later than originally planned. Mark arrived and spent about an hour with my husband going through all the needed replacements or repairs. Mark developed a unique solution to an unusual request - we wanted an outdoor hose bib at a 3 ft. height - and suggested we go through an interior wall to eliminate risk of freezing and breakage. The first day Mark replaced the toilet and unclogged the sink. The additional work was scheduled for two days later to allow enough time to complete everything. When Mark arrived the second time, he reassessed the main water shutoff redesign and after much deliberation, changed his recommendation. With new city water meters being installed, Mark was concerned that the work effort and costs would be prohibitive especially if a new water service would be necessary in the coming months. We appreciated his honest assessment and agreed to delay this work. The bathroom sink work was completed this date as expected. Due to an unexpected emergency, Mark had to schedule a return on Thursday to finish the outside hose bib. He arrived as agreed on Thursday morning and got right to work. Mark finished all the interior and exterior work within the timeline. We are impressed with the quality and professionalism and appreciate the creative solutions and honest assessments. We will definitely call Apollo again!

Plumber was able to schedule us very quickly and point us in the right direction for mitigation services. Daniel was courteous and professional.

We had a toilet that needed replaced but we did not have them replace it because it was too expensive. He was a nice guy and was fine.

We will probably wait until spring to do the work. They did not actually do anything but they were very prompt and very informative. They seem to be knowledgeable.

The scheduler was very prompt in returning my call. She found a plumber who was able to come out the next day. They pulled strings and made it work to get the plumber out since my family was seriously disrupted by the bad pump. The plumber was able to find a replacement pump and he reinstalled same day. The plumber did not know how to wire the pump and float switch so I had to have an electrician come out the next day to complete the job. The price seemed very high. The pump was around $1,500 but the whole job cost $3,900 and the work took about a full day. So, figure $300/hr if you use this company. About 6 months after the sewage pump replacement noted above, the new pump went out!!! Imagine my stress and distress when this happened. I certainly didn't have another $4K to pour down the drain. Apollo was prompt and effective and got the pump replaced under warranty. I had no charges. So that was great. Apollo stood behind their work and that made me feel much better about the initial outlay of cash. Not long after the warranty-replacement pump was installed, we had a problem with the float switch descending onto the top of the pump motor causing it to run for probably 8 hours, DRY!!! I feared that the new pump would be toast. Apollo was again prompt and took definitive action to remedy the problem. Apollo special-ordered and installed, all at no additional cost, a vertical float switch to prevent this issue from recurring. Again, Apollo stood by their work and that was much appreciated. The bottom line, is the initial cost was hard to bear for a family that had just moved into their new home. But Apollo has helped me to protect that investment by standing behind their work.

I first contacted Apollo online via the Angie's List service request form. I submitted it Sunday night and since I was going to be working from home on Tuesday, I asked if there was any chance that an appointment could be scheduled for that day. I heard back first thing Monday morning from Debbie who confirmed they could accommodate my request. She also provided the name and phone number of the plumber who would be assigned to the job. On Tuesday morning, as promised, Matthew called, then arrived, 1/2 hour prior to our scheduled time. He was extremely polite and informative about the work that needed to be done. He proactively advised of the potential issues that might come up with the water supply connection due to the age of our home. But he was able to work around them, and delivered the repair exactly as quoted in a quick and efficient fashion. I had found Apollo on Angie's list but since it was my first appointment with them, I was skeptical of the potential for "job creep" as I had experienced that with a heavily radio advertised plumber several years earlier. However, Matthew actually helped to educate me on some preventative measures we can employ to avoid future service calls for slow drains, etc. As a small, local employer myself, I'm always interested in knowing how tradespeople chose their careers. In speaking briefly with Matthew, it is clear that he loves his job and is very appreciative of his opportunities with Apollo Plumbing. He spoke highly of the owner, which tells me that this is a business that I can feel good about supporting.

First of all, the website and representation on Angie's List are somewhat misleading as I understood they offered same price service evening and weekends, but as I would have expected, not the case. It's not spelled out but basically they charge $$$ more for evenings and Saturdays after 5pm plus Sundays. Their coordinator, Debbie, taking calls on that Sunday, was helpful and informative, albeit not that knowledgable. On the following Monday Mark called asking about more details I'd already shared with Debbie. His first response was "Kohler, oh man, I wish I'd known that, we hate Kohler. We specialize in?" but he came anyway. He took a look and basically tried to push a complete new valve brand plus repiping, a major $2000 project. He called the office and he and the boss said it would be hard to find the right parts to replace the yoke assembly and stem as it's such an old valve. Have to call around town. Before joining Angies List and calling Apollo, I'd already taken the valve apart, changed out some seats and washers and bushing but upon turning water back on the water never would turn off. And I'd already done my research online and was ready to order the exact parts I needed on Amazon (they had 4 of each). A youtube video clearly showed what and how to fix this. But the water was not turning off, so time to call in the pros just in case. Back to Mark from Apollo, I paid him for his time and thanked him for the discussion. He said he felt bad not actually repairing anything (I had him put caps on bath/shower until the parts came from Amazon) and they were ready to "move" on this for us. However he did note I seemed to know my way around things as I'd already taken it apart once, but also attempted to turn that on me earlier trying to make me feel bad/guilty for the current predicament. I guessed this was to guilt me into the $2K project but I immediately dismissed it and moved on to capping. Apollo was helpful in helping me understand how it all worked a little better and confirm how I should proceed. $125 for a couple of caps and advice, but in the end, I did get the parts ($50) and fixed myself. Works great.

The plumber arrived on time, completed the work quickly, explained what he had done, and showed me the work and tested it for me. Very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend them and use their services again.

Plumber called and told me when he would arrive. He was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and quick. This is the third time we have had Apollo Plumbing to our home in the past 4 weeks. Each time they were always professional, knowledgeable, and did exactly what they said they would do. As a matter of fact Mark went above and beyond and did not change his estimate. I have read other reviews which have been very favorable. There have been a few not so favorable. Here is a piece of advice to anyone who needs a plumber. (remember I have been a nurse for over 40 years). Plumbers and Doctors are very much alike in neither one really knows what to expect until the door is open and they start inspecting! I have already recommended Apollo Plumbing and will continue to do so as needed. PS: Debbie in the office "Rocks"!

I called a couple of places and they could come the soonest out of all of them, very courteous and friendly on the phone. Mark called and asked if he could come earlier than scheduled, which rocks! He was friendly and professional, had to snake my pipes a couple of times cause I have old plumbing. Would definitely use again!

We have had Apollo out here 3 times now. The first time we liked the guy that came out. It was expensive, but he was very helpful and went above and beyond to help fix our plumbing problems. The same problem happened again a few months later and we called them out. This time a different guy came out. I think his name was Mark. It was Christmas Eve and we were up a creek and he knew it. He even voiced it to my husband, saying something like, "you could pay me the fee for coming out here and pay to have someone else come out, but you have guests staying at your house and no working toilet. Good luck getting someone to come out on Christmas Eve." So we forked over the money to have him clear our line since we were in need of the bathroom. The most recent time was for something completely different, a bid on moving the sewer line. They sent Mark again. He looked at my sewer as built and, although I admit it is a mess of a sewer system, he was not helpful at all. He said we have no idea what is down there and often these as builts are wrong, so we think we are going to hit the pipe here, but actually it's somewhere else. He said it could be concrete or cast iron or pvc, we have no idea. He must not have looked closely at the as built because it was done in 1990, so it should be PVC. He basically said we would have to excavate down to it - this is 10 feet deep, mind you - in order to get a bid on moving it and tying into it, but we don't know that we want to do all of that until we know what the project is going to cost. Catch 22, I suppose. Overall, he seemed condescending and a little rude. I have had multiple sewer guys out here since and they have all been able to give me bids and though the as built is a mess, they were able to see that it was built in 1990 and there shouldn't be issues like concrete pipes, etc.

He had to determine where the leak was first. He than called a company to come out to dry everything up because I had sheet rock,insulation and carpet that was wet. He started replacing the pipe right away. He did a very professional job. Matt was very nice and explained everything he needed to do. I will use them again and I will also refer them to friends and family.

Their guy was a little bit late, but they gave me a 2-hour appointment window and called me to let me know he was a little behind. That didn't bother me and he was here within the window they originally specified. Work was done same-day. He was able to identify the leak and repair it.

I called Apollo to replace the wax ring seal on my master bath toilet. The returned my request through Angies list within 2 hours and had a plumber out the very next day. Matthew, the plumber, was even able to arrive early. He was incredibly courteous, knowledgeable and communicative about the process of the repair. Unfortunately upon lifting the toilet he found some water damage. Matthew walked me through my options. When I decided that I didn't want to put the toilet back on, but rather contain the problem and have it treated, he contacted another company Apollo works with to assess the issue. He stayed until they arrived (just in case I decided to go ahead and put the toilet back on). While this new crew tried to explain to me the process of the repair, I got confused. Matthew stayed and translated for me :) until he was sure I understood what needed to be done and felt comfortable with the new group. He charged me only for taking the toilet up and gave me his contact information. He said that if I start to feel uncomfortable with anything or had more questions, I could give him a call anytime. I was super impressed with Apollo and although I hope I never need them :) they have my business from now on.

This plumbing company went out of their way to help me. I called Friday morning and they were booked until Tuesday but they knew that one of their plumbers lived near me and called to see if he would take the job when we wasn't scheduled to work during the day. He agreed and was at my home within the hour. He was knowledgeable and sorry to inform me he would have to go through a wall in order to fix it. Luckily it was in my sons closet and he recommended we cover the hole with an access panel instead of having a drywall repairman come in case this ever needs to be done again. He also checked our water heater and pressure and was very helpful. I will call them again.

They came out and couldn’t fix it. It is out of there service.

It was not good at all. He came in and complained about his morning. I took him directly to the upstairs bathroom where the problem was and I had cleaned the bathroom so it was meticulously cleaned for him out of respect. He came in and spent five minutes. I tipped him $20 and he went on his way but the problem was not addressed. It was not fixed and it continues to this day. So, I would not use him again. My whole reason for getting the deal was to get him in the door and then address the issue. He had an opportunity to muster up further business but he is not somebody that I would ever contact back. I decided to go with him because I got him from Angie's List and I looked at the ratings and decided that that made sense according to the ratings that they had but it was not. It was not necessarily Apollo Plumbing, it was the individual that came out. He was a poor representative but whoever responded to my phone call was fine. I did not have any issue with that at all.

Everything went well. Although, I did expect it to be cheaper. They did warn me it would be a little more.

After inspection Mathew warned me that a cutter could not be used because of corrugated pipe but that 50/50 chance that the hydrojet would get through. Gave me plenty of opportunity for refund if I did not want to take a chance. I decided to go ahead and it turned out that the top end of the pipe was really plugged with tree roots, but the hydrojet finally made it through. Then Mathew used different nozzles and finally a hand held snake to get as much of the roots out as possible. Was very good about explaining the procedure and options and what I could do for maintenance. Only minor issue was that he was running a bit behind schedule and started about an hour late. I was very happy with this job which was completed within about 24hrs of my initial inquiry.

I called Apollo Plumbing LLC on Sunday, August 10, 2014, I told them this was not an emergency but we wanted to have our storm drain cleaned. I didn't receive a call back on Monday morning August 11th so I called them back at around 9:30. I was told yes they got my message and the women I talked to said she needed to talk to the owner. There were 3 employees but only 2 did storm drains and she did not know which one did not do drain cleaning. She said they would probably use a hydro jet. She said she would call me back. I have never heard from them since. This is now Wednesday August 13th. I guess they did not want the job. But it would have been nice to be told this was something they chose not to do. I will contact someone else .

Quick and easy repair. Did a great job.

Not military friendly. Worst part of service was to find smeared "marks" & bits of used toilet paper from clogged drain on floor, and brown waste water splattered on drywall. On site for less than 15 minutes & charged for $200. We were better off renting an toilet drain auger at home depot for $50. He also didn't put booties over shoes when entering.

Matt was great. He had a really ugly mess to deal with and as he worked, he found more and more problems and leaks. It took him more than two hours to get everything done. He explained all the problems to me and explained why it happened. He was so careful about his work - removed everthing and left me with all new and excellent fixtures. He took great care in making sure everything was working properly before he left.
