Mark came out on Tuesday to give an estimate on pruning 3 apple tree's that needed some care as the previous owner hadn't pruned them in awhile. He arrived early answered questions I had about the trees and suggested things that should be done. I went ahead and hired his crew who was able to come out the next day. 4 guys arrived earlier than scheduled and got right to work. 3 Guys were up in the tree's doing the pruning and one guy was doing the cleanup work. Took them about 1.5-2hrs and the tree's looked good and area was cleaned up of the cuttings. I and the wife was pretty happy with their service overall.

Hard working, efficient, skilled. Everyone performed as we requested.

We contracted NW Arbor Care to remove 4 maple trees' branches that had grown over our house. 5 Leyland Cypresses were topped aesthetically and properly to 20 feet. The majority of the work was to completely remove a Norway Spruce that had grown to approximately 50 feet, and then grind its stump into usable mulch. On their way out they looked over the property for any dead wood and removed those limbs for no extra cost. They reduced their cost by 10% for the Angie's list coupon. They cleaned up the areas that they had been cutting so that it was cleaner than before they started. The spruce tree and larger limbs were cut into rounds that we gave to our neighbors, as they burn wood and we don't. This company is the most courteous and willing to go the extra mile to make their work unsurpassed. Their performance was A+ from start to finish, and Tracey made an extra trip to grind the Norway Spruce stump. I can't complement this company and their employees highly enough.

The crew arrived on time as scheduled. They fell the tree with no damage to the nearby neighbors fence or plants. The yard was cleared of all debris nicely. Later in the day the stump grinding crew arrived. They too did a fine job of lowering the stumps to below grade. These fellows cleaned the work area well including using a blower to clear the street. Keep in mind much of this work was performed in the rain so the conditions were not the best.

It was good. A tree fell down and it went over my yard but it luckily did not do any damage and then my neighbor had a tree that needed to be taken down so they did it together. They took the tree out of my yard, cut it up and put it in his yard and they also cut his other tree down. They did it all really fast and very efficiently. I only have good things to say about them. I had a positive experience with them.

At my previous home they removed 4 huge dying fir trees in a critical slope area on a busy street with huge success. Having moved to a new house the yard was a 70 year old overgrown mess that need to be addressed. Mark came out and we discussed what was healthy and could stay and be pruned and what had to go. The came THE NEXT DAY and not only did the work but did another great job. It was so good that my neighbor is hiring them. This is the 3rd time I have used the company and cannot say enough good things about them. Service, price, crew....All amazing. I have recommended them many times and all that have used them loved them too.

I have hired NW Arbor Care twice before, initially because they said that they do not recommend thinning tall trees rather than topping them, as another contractor wanted to do. They came out with a crew which did everything thoroughly and quickly and cleaned up all the debris.

Mark was on time for the estimate and very professional. His team showed up on time and were very courteous. They took the trees down, cut it up into firewood size rounds and cleaned up all the branches. Everything went as planned. Highly recommended.

The owner came Sunday morning, and the tree was gone Sunday afternoon. The next day, a subcontractor came to grind out the stump. He did nothing to protect the lawn from his heavy equipment, and there was a lot of destruction that could have been avoided.

We had a very large and messy tree in our front yard that we could no longer stand. I looked on Angie's List for a local tree company that I could use. They arrived on time with a crew of 6 and immediately went to work. The tree was very close to our house. They surgically removed the large tree without any damage to the house ord surroundings. We also had them trim up a couple of other trees and bushes in the yard. No time was wasted. While some of the guys took down the big tree, the others set to work trimming our large Rhody's and other bushes. I would definitely use them again.

We were given a quote from another company for almost double the cost. So we called Northwest Arbor care they came out and gave us a quote same day and scheduled the tree removal for the following week . They showed up on time at scheduled and finish the work in a timely and safe manner. I was impressed and would use them in the future as well.

Mark, owner of the company is very professional and gave estimate for the trees. He also helped in providing the arborist information in permit form. He came with his crew on time on the schedule day and completed the work with in 5 hours. They also did the nice clean after the tree removal. I am very much satisfied and use them in future for my other services.

They were really reasonably priced and did a good job. They were probably half of what another company had quoted me and the came out and they bid on specifically what I've asked them to bid on. Then when I called them and made an appointment they came out within a few days and they had a good crew that got it done really quickly. They were professional and thorough. It took them a half an hour to do it. They had a five man crew.

I hired NW arbor care to prune a large laurel hedge and a 25 year old plum tree that sits in a cutout next to my deck. The owner came out promptly to give me a bid and his workmen arrived right on time to begin the work. There were about 7 workers total and it was hard to keep track of who was doing what. They did a pretty good job on the hedge but the plum tree was very disappointing. The bid was to have the plum tree thinned. I confirmed with the person who appeared to be in charge that they would be taking out any dead branches, thinning the tree and removing tall branches that hung over the roof. When I looked out later, I saw someone removing every single small branch from the lower part of the tree. I immediately stopped him and clarified that I just wanted it thinned and wanted low branches left so that I could see them when I looked out rom my kitchen and dining room. Unfortunately a total of 4 different people ended up working on the tree, each one taking more off of my plum tree. I went out each time I saw someone new, but somehow my poor tree ended up with only 4 bare vertical trunks and leaves and branches only at the very top beyond sight of my windows and higher than my standard ladder can reach. They did a good job with cleanup. I called and talked with the owner. He was very nice and apologetic, saying it was a new crew. He agreed to take $100 off of the price which I appreciated, but that still does not give me shade for my deck, plums I can reach or branches to hang my bird feeders. I?m not sure if I would use them again or not, but if so, I would stand outside the entire time and watch every cut on any tree I really cared about.

In short: Top Job. Mark came and provided estimate for work. Gave us the reasons for his recommendations and the estimate was very reasonable. On service day the tree team showed up EN MASS (11 guys total) and proceeded to have at it. Took most of the day but proceeded to do EXACTLY what I was looking for and even a bit extra that want part if the estimate. Excellent work by every team member. Further, Marks team was willing to discuss a couple limbs that were a potential hazard when my neighbor came out and saw what was happening. Team member assessed the risks and fed back directly to the neighbor. I *really* appreciated that. Finally, I measure a tradesman or contractor by how well they clean up at the end of the day. I must say Marks team left my yard BETTER than they found it, including the saw dust! I was over joyed at the work. Just a great job all around. I would recommend these guys to anyone.

It goes very well. Tracy came here quickly and did the work quickly, professionally and neatly. I'm very happy with his service and will definitely recommend the company to my friends.

The crew was great! They did a fantastic job. They worked hard cleaning out all of the shoots and dead branches on both trees. After they were done, they cleaned up the branches and leaves and the trees look fantastic! Professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

I am not at all happy with how this thing went. First on the day of appointment no one showed up. On calling I could easily make out that they had forgotten about the appointment. Multiple calls later the whole thing got scheduled to the next day. It was still acceptable till this point. This is when things didn't go well. There were two trees in between ours and our neighbor. We got the following estimates from them a) Remove tree on our side b) Remove tree on our side and trim branches of our neighbor that was touching our roof + wall c) Remove both trees I had passed on the information to our neighbor (who doesn't live there). When they came in to do the work, they told my wife that they are going to cut our tree but eventually removed both trees. Then came and asked us to pay (b). Which included trimming charges for our neighbors tree. Apparently at the last minute our neighbor called them up and asked to remove his/her tree as well. They should've been upfront and told us that they will be removing the other tree and not tried to make us double pay for removing branches of a tree which is anyway being completely removed and being paid separately for. I just felt that this is not professional behavior. They should've been transparent in their transaction. However, their work was very good, so no complains on that front.

They did a great job all around. They arrived on time. The crew was very nice, accommodating and respectful. They cleaned up nicely. I would definitely use them again in the future.

NW Arbor Care did an excellent job removing the trees and grinding stumps. I wasn't aware that the tree trunk rounds would not be removed. I thought that was included in "tree debris removal", but I was told that the trunk rounds isn't standard unless specifically stated that rounds need to be removed on quote. The owner contacted a third party who quickly came and removed the rounds for their firewood selling business. So if you don't want any of the wood left you need to be very specific on the quote for services. Other than that I was pleased with the service and efficiency of job.

Mark came out and gave an estimate for cutting the trees. We made an appointment, but I had to change it because it would interfere with an exterior paint job that was in progress. He was very flexible. The crew arrived on time and cut down the trees. I had printed the coupon, but forgot to present it at the time of estimate and then again at the time of service. I just sent Mark a message asking if he could honor the coupon. He has not responded yet. I will totally understand if the answer is no. It's my own fault for being so absent-minded.

The 3 man crew was very courteous, professional, efficient, on time, in and out in 4 hours. Per their recommendation the height was reduced by approximately 8 feet. They were very careful about surrounding landscaping and cleaned up every last leaf. Would definitely recommend them - in fact they are doing a wind sale, reshaping, and cleanup of a large tree next week.

I had called Mark Griffith, the owner, to get an estimate for trimming/pruning three trees, and Mark came out the following day to assess the scope of work to be done. Mark and I discussed the work to be done on the trees, a Thundercloud Plum, a Katsura, and a Hinoki. He advised that the Hinoki should not really be pruned, as it has its own natural shape, but since it had been damaged as a result of some construction work done on the house, it was decided that all that should be done is some light shaping. I also consulted with him about whether it would be harmful to remove a root from a Thundercloud Plum tree that had caused a corner of the driveway to buckle. He indicated that there should be a sufficient root system for the tree, such that the removal of the root would not be harmful to the tree. He explained that they would lift the corner of the driveway that was buckling (a piece approximately 2' x 2'), remove the tree root, and put back the corner piece from the driveway. Before Mark left, I scheduled the work to be done for the following week. I also inquired of Mark if he would be on site the day the work was to be done, and Mark stated that he would arrive at 8:00 a.m., to walk through the job with his crew with me present. On the day the work was to be performed, no one from NW Arbor Care showed up at 8:00 a.m. I waited until 10:00 a.m., before calling Mark, who upon checking his calendar, confirmed that our job had been scheduled for 8:00 a.m. He indicated that he would contact his crew, and call me right back. Someone from Mark's crew called me 5 minutes later and apologized profusely, stating that someone had "messed up his paperwork," and that they were just finishing up at a jobsite that they were suppose to have gone to after ours. The NW Arbor Care crew arrived at about 10:30 a.m. Mark did not show up as he had indicated the week before to review the job with his crew. I asked the member of the crew holding a copy of the Contract generally describing the work to be performed if Mark had discussed the work to be done with them. He responded that "he was just handed the paperwork." I then proceeded to go through what the job entailed with him. I watched as the crew proceeded to lift the corner of the driveway to expose the tree root for removal with a chainsaw. This turned out to be more difficult than not, since adequate clearance was needed between the root and the surrounding driveway and sidewalk for the chainsaw blade. The crew, however, was adept at finally managing to remove the rather hefty tree root in several pieces. The corner of the driveway was put back in place, and now sits even with the surrounding aggregate concrete driveway. While the tree root removal was ongoing, other members of the crew were up in the Thundercloud Plum and Katsura tree. Communication and supervision between the individual crewmember who appeared to have the know-how and experience in trimming/pruning trees with other less seasoned crewmembers, seemed minimal. In particular, an apparently less seasoned crew member was left pretty much without instruction and supervision to trim/prune the Katsura tree. Throughout the trimming/pruning of both trees, I was asked about taking off specific branches, and because of this, I felt the need to remain in close proximity. In the end, the crew did a great job of raising the canopy of both trees, removing dead wood, and crossing branches, with the result that both trees are more open and airy, and allow more sunlight to filter through to the ground below.
