we found him on Angie's List. Our garage door opener wasn't working. He phoned back right away and came out a day or so later. He efficiently fixed the garage door opener and it has worked well since then. About a month. He said it was very old (over 25 yrs.) and would eventually need to be replaced. However, he did not push replacement. Asked him about a new garage door which he also installs at a reasonable price. So plan to contact him in the near future to have a new garage door put in. Also, he put in a release cord if it breaks again for no extra charge.

Arrived same day. Took less that an hour. Friendly, fast and efficient. Offered advise on maintenance of door and opener.

Very good contractor. Efficient, thorough and congenial. Price was reasonable, as was a quote for possible additional future work. He made the door work better than I ever thought it could.

The service was exceptional. They arrived on time, fixed the problem quickly, cleaned up and removed broken parts when finished. Garage door works better than before.

I used email to reach this guy. It took a couple days for a reply. Something tells me he's not the email type. Anyway, I knew exactly what I wanted and included a description in the email. When he replied, we set an inspection date. He was prompt. He measured and gave a turnkey estimate. $200 deposit. He told me when he would have the new door. I was busy. But when I was free, I called him and we set a date for the job. He was prompt. He did the work. I paid him. He mentioned that I had a larger than average dip in the floor. He installed special equipment and gave me a warranty that I trust. That's it.

They came out and looked at our broken spring and suggested possible solutions and gave an estimate. When we accepted their offer, they returned the next day on time and worked steadily until everything was completed and cleaned up. Answered all my questions and concerns in a friendly, informative manner.

I got an estimate over the phone for a standard door. After scheduling an appointment (within a couple days), Jim and his son came by to install. It ended up that our garage wasn't a standard height and a custom door needed to be ordered. We got that ordered with a small deposit (just $200 over the original standard door quote). Meanwhile, they fixed the door to function until they came back (replaced the spring bolts on both sides), at no extra charge. A couple weeks later, they came back, replaced the door, built up a nice frame to keep it tight, even added some extra support to the garage walls. They replaced the old opener, even came with an external keypad (which I didn't know was thrown in), and showed me how to use everything. Great quality door and opener! Very efficient, very nice, knowledgeable, friendly, no hassle. One of the best experiences I've had in all my home-owning years! Already referred to a couple others who are just as happy. Definitely the ones to go to!

He did an excellent job, right on estimate. He was neat, clean and efficient. I called him on a Tuesday, we scheduled the work for the following Thursday. He showed up on time and got the job done in about 1 1/2 hours. The door opener works perfectly and the cost was the amount promised.

I found this company through Angie's List. I called them at 9 pm at night, and they answered. We talked for 30 minutes. We thought his estimate was very reasonable. He ordered the door and installed it within 2 or 3 days. He even noticed himself a small flaw in the door, offered us a discount, or said he would come out and fix it at no charge. He was very good throughout the process, which was only 1 week to get a new door.

I called initially with an estimate for repair.I knew the door was very old, would not close easily and did not lock and I had been thinking of replacing it and adding an automatic door opener. Jim told me he didn't usually repair my type of door because he couldn't get parts and I asked him about a new one. He offered several options and gave ideas when I mentioned an opener. I knew my budget was $1000 or less. He arrived on time with all the materials and finished in 4-6 hrs (I don't really know because I left him a check and went out). So far I am very pleased with his work. The door is beautiful and works perfectly. He cleaned up all materials and hauled them away. I had a "good" feeling about his honesty. I accidentally wrote the check for $20 too much and he immediately told me that he'd send me back a check in a few days 'cause he had no cash and I was in a hurry. The check arrived as he promised in a few days. I would hire him again.

Job 1: We called them on Thursday and they immediately scheduled an appointment. They gave us a quote on Friday. Our door was installed next Wednesday. Our door is super silent and it looks great. The father-son team works great. We called several stores, actually all the ones mentioned in Angie's List, and they were the only ones to offer such a speedy installation. Two other stores said it would take them a month and they were much more expensive. Job 2: We called on Thursday afternoon. They returned our call on Friday, asked questions, and suggested some things we could try in the meantime. They came on Monday. They loosened some springs and oiled the hinges. Now the door works fine. This father-son team really works great. This job was done under their warranty for the job performed in November and they stood up to their word.

They were great. Father and son team. They were nice and informative. Knew their products and very knowledgeable. I would recommend them.

They provided a wonderful service and were on time and provided us with options for our garage doors. They are easy to work with and provide excellent service and work.

I was very impressed that Mr. Barron would offer free advice rather than charge me for a service call and should I have a future problem that cannot be resolved over the phone, I will certainly contact their company to do the work.

I was very impressed by this father and son company, which I found on Angie's List. They were prompt, helpful, polite, professional, and reasonable in cost. Clearly, they know garage doors inside and out.

I'm happy with the result. The original quote was $300 plus tax, but the extra services added on a bit to it.

Initially Jim gave me a very reasonable estimate over the phone. He then came to my house to inspect the job, gave some very good suggestions, and we decided on an installation day after I returned from a trip. Then he and his son arrived and proceeded to take down the old door, huge springs and rusty hardware. They did a fabulous job putting up the new garage door. I had had rodents in my garage so Jim framed in the new garage door tighter than Fort Knox. The door is beautiful and works well. They oiled the old garage door opener. They cleaned up and hauled away the old door. The installation took extra time so they could do a thorough job. I highly recommend Barron Garage Doors.

The crew was prompt, and did what they said they would do within the cost they had estimated. The garage door now operates fine.

Jim was able to discuss styles and options over the phone, I looked at examples on the web. We decided on the style and type and he installed the next day. The service was excellent, and the area was cleaned up and all operational. A great service.

They were very good. They came out the next morning. I had called at the end of the previous day. They explained everything to me. Our doors are also MUCH quieter now. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anybody that needs any type of work done on garage doors. I will use them for any garage door job in the future!

OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS VERY POSITIVE. I FOUND THE WORKERS TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE, EFFICIENT, COURTEOUS. WHEN I ASKED QUESTIONS ON WHY THE SPRING MAY HAVE BROKEN WHEN IT WAS ONLY A FEW YEARS OLD, THEY WERE MORE THAN WILLING TO EXPLAIN THE FACTORS THAT COULD BE INVOLVED.
