Great job, very satisfied

They did an excellent job. They were quick, clean and they were responsive to all of our needs. There were a few nails showing after the work was done so I called them about it and they sent someone out the next day to fix the problem. I would recommend them.

Rod was employed to fix a leak in our roof. About one month after his first visit we had very heavy rains and found that it was still leaking in the same place. He returned and did more work on it, for which he charged additional money. We then had the room re-plastered, sanded and totally re-painted. After a week, we had more very heavy rains and found it was still leaking in the same place, ruining the new plaster/paint job. That next week I phoned Rod about 5 times over a nine day period. He returned my calls twice, but only to leave a message with his cell phone number, never addressing my concern about the continuing leak. I received his messages after 6 pm, as he never phoned my day number as I requested. After hours his cell phone forwards to the office answering machine, so we never connected. After five calls and nine days, I gave up. On his work receipts, he printed "No guarantee." I do not understand how one can fix a leak and not offer a guarantee. I assume that if he had come out a third time to fix the leak, he would have charged us more money. And a fourth time and a fifth time, etc. In the end, I had someone else fix the leak.

Addicott Roofing was recommended to me by a friend. I was having some problems with my roof and he made a few suggestions on how I could fix it and also repaired my entire roof with a crew. The prices are reasonable and the work was completed on time. He does very good work. This is a small family owned business and Rod is a third generation roofer. I have referred him to my son as well.

I first called on 8/2/08 and left a message with the secretary. Rod got right back to me and came by within the week and left his card. When I called to find out what he thought he told me over the phone what needed to be done and what it would cost. He said he had not seen the rotted fascia on the north side of the house that I was concerned about. I like to give credit to contractors that don't try and sell you what you don't need but I honestly don't know how anyone could have missed it. Anyway, we agreed that I would email him pics which I did along with additional questions since I all I had to go on was my own chicken scratch on a scrap of paper (no written estimate). I didn't hear from him for 6 days, when I called to see if he got the email he said he was not able to view the photos which were linked via photo bucket. I told him how to view them and he agreed to get back to me after he looked at the email again, I have not heard a word and it has been 3 weeks. I really appreciate the time it takes for someone to come and give a free estimate so I don't mind too much if I don't get it in writing. I also value straightforwardness. I have had several contractors tell me right out that this not an easy job and they don't want this type of work. If someone really doesn't want to do the work I prefer they would tell me right off because my time is just as valuable as theirs, and I feel like mine was wasted here.

They came and went. They were on time and on budget. They actually cleaned up and really left no trace that they were there. I actually got in a fight with the owner because he had said that they were there to collect, and I told him that he hadn't even done the work. But it turns out he HAD been out, but they had just done it so quickly and cleaned up so well that I didn't know they had been there. They were that good.

Best price by 1/3. Quality work. Done on time.

Mr. Addicott himself returned call almost immediately and arranged to have work done. I had called others on list and they phoned hours later. This was virtually an emergency. So it was wonderful to have the immediate concern.

VERY SMOOTH, CLEANED UP VERY GOOD, TIMELY, AT ESTIMATE.

I think that the quality of the work done was very good. I considered having Addicott recover my deck. Initially, that seemed like a good idea but I would suggest sticking to roofing, skylights and gutters. If at all possible the homeowner should be available on site during any work that is done to avoid possible. misunderstandings. In addition to putting all of the details that are important in writing I would also suggest detailed sketches. We did have some differences of opinion but I am satisfied with the workmanship quality.

Rod Addicott responded very quickly to our request for quote. The estimate was under half of other East side company quotes we received. Rod told us in advance what charges might be incurred if sheathing damage was uncovered. Crew arrived on the agreed-to day at the agreed-to time and completed the entire job in two days flat. Eight friendly, professional crew worked the first day, four the second. The roof looks fantastic, we're extremely pleased with the quality of workmanship, and we're heading into winter confident in our rain worthiness for the first time since we moved in 6 years ago. After job completed, we told Rod about small metal debris in our gravel driveway. Rod immediately offered to send someone out with a magnetic rake (we accepted) and offered his apologies that this wasn't done on the last day of the job. Class cooperation top to bottom. Wouldn't hesitate to use again. Our extended family has had 6 roofs done by Addicott and all are very pleased with the work.

He arrived on time and did a great job when there were many large jobs he could have spent his time on.

Due to wet weather, it took them a month to get to the job, though I was quoted 2 weeks. They tore off the roof one day. It rained cats and dogs that night. We came home from a movie to find it raining in our kitchen and bathroom. They hadnt properly secured tarps, particularly around the chimney. I spent an hour on the roof that night adding and moving tarps, and slowed the rain in the house to a drizzle. They completed the job the next day, were apologetic, but not forthcoming on any sort of compensation, beyond knocking $50 off. The house dried out fine I think, so we didnt pursue further action. Installed the gutters a few weeks later. Clean-up was spotty. I am satisfied with the finished product.

Very Professional. Owner made site visit and estimate. They corrected a problem that another roofer could not fix.

THESE FOLKS WERE AMONG THOSE RECOMMENDED BY OUR INSURANCE COMPANY. THEY CAME IN SIGNIFICANTLY BELOW THE OTHER ESTIMATES. THEY TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN THE WORK AND OPTIONS FOR REPAIRS. THEY TOOK CARE OF THE WORK WITHOUT ANY HASSLE AND THEY DID IT PROMPTLY-- BEFORE THE NEXT RAIN!

I THOUGHT THEY DID GOOD WORK. THE PROBLEM I HAD WAS THE PRICE. IT WAS NOT THE AGREED TO PRICE. THEY LATER CAME BACK AND INFLATED THE PRICE, AND I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THAT. I HAD AGREED TO A FIXED PRICE, AND THE FINAL INVOICE WAS WELL ABOVE WHAT WE HAD AGREED TO. THEY DID GOOD WORK, AND IT WAS A VERY GOOD JOB OVERALL. I HAD NO COMPLAINTS ON THE ACTUAL JOB.

BID WAS WELL WRITTEN AND DETAILED. THE FINISHED WORK LOOKS GREAT, BUT THE CLEAN-UP WAS LESS COMPLETE-- WE FOUND NAILS AND DEBRIS AFTERWARDS. OWNER IS GREAT-- SOME OF THE CREW ARE NOT AS PROFESSIONAL.
