Glendale Heating & Air Conditioning

I have my house set up for automatic refills from Glendale and it has worked out really well. I have never been bothered by a service representative from them. They come and fill my oil tank and leave a bill on the door step for me. They included a free furnace check when I signed on for their service, as well as a $50 credit on my account. They have minimal finance charges if you pay your oil bill off over time ($7 per month), which I appreciate. Filling up a several hundred gallon tank can get very expensive. My last fill up had oil at 4.19/gallon, but that fluctuates with market prices.

Great. Finished in one day except for the humidifier, which they came and installed the next morning. It has not been cold enough to use the furnace yet, but I have no reason to suspect that it will not be satisfactory.

I am on a maintenance plan with them. They maintain my air conditioner and I also get my heating oil from them. I've been with them for over 30 years. I believe in them. They service all of my properties and my home. They have been very reliable and fair. They are a very trusted company.

My heating system went out and I needed a fst replacement. Sales person was very prompt in responding to my request for a quote. Came out the next day to survey the job and answered all my questions. Provided a price and worked to have a crew ready to install the system if I selected them for the job. They were slightly higher in price tha nthe contractor I selected.

I recently had a new gas range delivered to a tenant. The delivery people said they couldn't install it because the valve on the gas line feeding the range was faulty. I called a few and quot;gasand quot; contractors in an effort to get this taken care of...but never got a call back. I had recently used Glendale for a furnace repair on another property and was impressed with their service. So I decided to give them a call on the off chance that they could replace the valve. They sent two techs out in a very timely fashion and took care of it, and even hauled off the old range...down a big flight of stairs! The tenant was very happy...I was too! I would recommend Gkendale Heating. I was impressed with them both times I have used their services!

After arriving right on time Friday morning, the main work was completed in less than a half day. Upon completion the installer did not have the correct coupler/reducer for the line to grill hose connection in his van, but knew the one I needed. I shot off a quick email to the office to see if anyone could locate one and a few days later they made a quick return trip to finish the final connection and they painted/sealed the valve. I was quite happy with the work especially with the follow up visit to make the final connection to the grill. Misc - while the line was being run in the crawl space, I dug out a short trench and placed a piece of 2and quot; PVC to extend the flex line from the house exterior wall to a post where the valve would be located and attached. This was outside of our agreed scope.

I was tired of buying oil and when my wife and I decided we would stay in this house for the foreseeable future, I decided to look into ways to reduce my heating costs which I estimate were around $1800 per year for both oil and our electric space heaters we would use. I did a lot of analysis before deciding on the heat pump system. Once I decided, I called 5 companies including Glendale Heating. Glendale's price was about $300 lower than the next lowest price. I had also had good service with Glendale for my oil furnace. Finally, Glendale was very responsive to me and was able to answer the many questions that I had during my evaluation process. In the end, I felt more comfortable with Glendale than I did with any other company. Glendale completed the work on schedule and on budget. Their employees were professional and cleaned up after the work was done. The installation in clean and neat and uses space efficiently. About 8 weeks after the installation, I received a manufacturer's rebate check for $1000. I was not expecting this rebate check as Glendale did not include this in their pricing as other companies had done. Also, Glendale filled out the paperwork and submitted to the manufacturer on my behalf. As I write this review, my new heat pump system has nearly completed one heating season. I have had only one minor issue with the heat pump. The outside unit made a slight clicking noise on rainy days while heating. I investigated and found that there were icicles forming that were contacting the outside fan. I called Glendale and they had someone fix it immediately (added heat trace to the unit). I am estimating my current winter heating bill this year to be about $600. In addition, to the money savings, my house has a more event temperature throughout and I have air conditioning during the summer. Also we are no longer using any space heaters. The only two negatives that I had with Glendale for my heat pump installation are as follows: 1. They did not ever do a Manual J load calculation for my house. I ended up doing this on my own and was comfortable with Glendale's sizing recommendations. Also, none of the other companies performed this calculation. 2. Glendale (or their electrical sub) did not properly mark up the equipment after sale. Thus, when I had my installation inspected by King County, my system did not pass initially. This in the grand scheme of things was not a problem, since the system was properly installed, just was missing a tag. The electrical sub, returned to affix the tag and my system passed inspection. The two above items are the reason that I gave Glendale a B for professionalism. Everything else about the system has more than met my expectations. I am very pleased with Glendale's installation.

Their prices are one of the lowest in our area. They were very accommodating to the customer and willing to work with them.

We will definitely use Glendale again when our furnace needs cleaning.

The technician was right on time, explained everything he did and why, cleaned up throughly after he was done (better than when he arrived) and finished in what I felt was a very reasonable period of time. Very professional and resonable price for the service performed. I would certainly use them again.

Contacted Glendale Heating on Monday. They were already booked for the day but offered the options of service the following day at regular rates or higher priced service Monday evening. Since it wasn't an emergency, I selected the lower cost option. Kelly called when he was enroute and arrived slightly before the scheduled time. Checking the various potential failure causes took about 15 minutes. He had the necessary part in his van. During some slack time while the post installation performance check was underway, I asked Kelly to review some calculations I had made about heating system upgrades. His review was very helpful and was without a sales pitch. He did a good cleanup job before departure. The time on-site was a few minutes less than an hour. The cost including the part was $85 less than I paid to have the same part replaced over five years earlier.

They were up front, told us what we needed and didn't pressure us into buying anything we wouldn't need.

I have been doing business with them for about 35 years. They came in with the best comprehensive plan with a price that was competitive.

From the estimates to the final installation, Glendale Heating was a pleasure wtowork with. They followed up on the estimates without being pushy. We had additional electrical work to be done that delayed the process a bit. All employees we dealt with were very professional and made the experience a pleasant one.

I have been dealing with them for over thirty years. They installed my furnace for me last year and did an excellent job. I like the service. They service my heating and air-conditioning units. They make sure your needs are met.

Glendale Heating sent out their specialist Grant to look at my boiler. He looked at the situation and said he could repair a panel inside the boiler and that would fix the problem. He did a complete check of the system and then gave me a lesson in all the safety features and how the boiler actually worked. He was courteous, friendly and very professional. I will definitely use Glendale Heating for service and any other heating needs that come up. I geve them an A+!

Our furnace stopped working on a chilly morning in late March. I called a number of different vendors to see about scheduling a service call. Because the furnace wasn't working at all, it was a priority to obtain same day service. Many vendors were unable to see us until the next day, or the following week. Glendale Heating was able to see us the same day, in fact within a few hours. The technician was on time, professional, and very competent. He looked at the furnace, determined that some crud had built up on the burners, and suggested a regular maintenance service. While he was doing that, he also sealed some holes in the furnace to make it more efficient. He also noted that the filter situation wasn't ideal, and suggested some things to try differently. The price was a pleasant surprise, I was actually expecting to pay much more for same day service. In the end, the furnace was running, and I had some suggestions for making it run better.

Dimitri phoned regarding his arrival in the window of time designated for the service call. He got right to work. His assistance with filter cleaning was most appreciated. We had used Glendale four years ago. The date of this service was noted on the furnace maintenance list (attached to the housing) which we will use to schedule the next general service.

With our previous tune up from another company that we rated "F", we were very skeptical upon hiring another company for the service.THIS time we used Angie's list and nothing could have been better. He even gladly tolerated our 2 big black scary looking but sweetheart dogs.
