Brent came out for our first meeting to discuss our plans to enlarge and improve our deck and stairway. His experience with Timber Tech products was invaluable as we planned our new deck. Brent has a great eye for design and helped improve on our original concept. Brent provided us with several computer drawings of the designs we discussed for our review. We followed his advice and ended up with a much nicer deck that greatly improved the appearance of our home. The deck was completed with hidden fasteners and all exposed faces were covered with Timber Tech fascia. The mitered corners were perfect and all aspects of the deck were square and true. The stairway was completed with risers and fascia, and together with the Radiance rail is absolutely stunning compared to the wooden stairway that we had. Brent had completed most of the stairway to our deck when we changed our mind on what we wanted. For a very minimal charge (mostly materials), he gladly changed the stairway to the deck. The job site was left cleaned and organized after each day's work and all the cutoffs and construction debris was cleaned up after completion of the job. In all, it was a very pleasant experience, and we ended up with a deck and stairway that is admired by our friends. Besides his professionalism and experience with Timber Tech and construction, Brent and his crew were friendly, courteous and responsible. I would hire Brent again to do any future work at our home.

After removing a wall of arborvitaes that had gotten too out of control we realized how important they were to the balance of our yard. We decided we needed some type of ornamental fence but couldn't figure out a design. Brent came into the picture and designed a unique fence that tied our koi pond together with our yard. Brent's advice to tie the two together was simply brilliant. Our yard feels like we completely redesigned it by simply adding the fence. Now the icing on the cake. We had a big party planned for our house and really wanted this completed in a unrealistic time frame. We expressed this to Brent keeping our fingers crossed but not expecting it to happen. He came thru early and even did some extra sprucing up in our back yard! Our hats of to Lifestyle's. Thank you!

I found Brent to be one of the most pleasant and honest businessmen I've dealt with in both my private as well as my previous job-related experiences over several years. The two men who work for him were super efficient and pleasant to have working at my home, and Brent did an excellent job of regularly supervising them and inspecting their work as it progressed. He is truly a perfectionist in giving you the finest in workmanship. There were absolutely no negatives during this experience with Lifestyles Deck and Fence! His bid was great and he provided all that was promised and more in a timely manner. Brent is truly a knowledgeable and straight-shooting businessman who takes great pride in his work! Brent installed the dry space under deck panels for us. After the work was completed, the panels were blown out of position by wind couple times. The problem is caused by the product design issue. Brent stands out behind their work and looks for a solution from the product company for their customer, me, without charge. They are nice, easy to work with.

Brent made the design phase very easy by emailing deck designs, which were computer generated. He was full of suggestions for the front sidewalk and hardscaping, and seemed to know what was wanted without having to explain too much. He was extremely polite and willing to spend a lot of time to get things done the right way. It would be nice to be able to upload pictures but I don't see a place to do that. The old deck was torn down in one day, new posts went up, and although the start of the new deck was a little slow, once they got going, they worked nearly non-stop to complete it. Within about a week after that, they added the front sidewalk and hardscaping, and last was the patio, which went smoothly. Brent was very helpful every step of the way to explain what they were doing and why they were doing it that way.

Brent was a no-call / no-show on the 1st. There could have been extenuating circumstances such as an emergency, so I called him again the following week and left a message to contact me to arrange for another date to come out. Never got a reply. Hired someone else for the job.

The job turned out beautifully! They did what they said they'd do and they did more than what it is in the contract like cleaning the yard, picking up all extra debris, and they make sure they cleaned up after themselves; they were excellent! Their price is lower compared to other company.

Replacing the deck went pretty well except for the post issue. The installation of the dry space was bad and took far to long.

We received three bids for this job and selected Brent from Lifestyles Design for several reasons. His bid was the lowest, we were impressed by his professionalism and knowledge of the product, he has very low overhead, and his labor costs were by far the most reasonable. He far exceeded our expectations in every way. Each of the four days the work site was completely picked up and you would not even know they were here. We've had experience with several contractors over the years doing build-outs and remodels and this was without a doubt our best experience by far. I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more of Brent since several neighbors contacted him for bids after watching the process. If you need anything related to decks or fences you cannot go wrong with Lifestyles Design.

I paid $2200 in full up front before he even started the job. I made the mistake of telling him I would be out of town so the project took a week (should have been two days). Not a problem, I wasn't here and was pleased with the end result. The fence is indeed "cat-proof" and I am very pleased with the fence. However, due the to heavy snow the chicken wire stretched and became droopy. I contacted Brent and asked him if he could fix this - with the description above, he stated there would be $50 in materials (for tension wire) and $100 in labor. I expressed frustration with this price and the fact that he does not guarantee his work. I then purchased tension wire at Home Depot for $12 and weaved the wire through the chicken wire and pulled it taut. This process took me approx. 20 minutes. I wonder why he didn't explain how easy it was to fix. Brent refuses to return my emails and I have asked him directly why he would try to take advantage of me. No response. I was my intent to have Brent build a big deck on the front of my house. Due to this misunderstanding, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I know how this sounds, but I think Brent tried to take advantage of me because I'm a woman.

It went very well. We kept adding on more jobs. He ended up doing deck, stone patio and some landscaping. Great to work with.

I had a very positive experience. They were very professional and very courteous. Their price was very good. I would use them again in the future.

Disappointing. Initial meeting was held as scheduled. Brent Stansberry showed up at the appointed time and we spent about 45 minutes or so going over the job. I even made a copy of the original deck plans and gave to him to assist in his putting together a bid. Was told to expect a bid in approximately 2 or 3 days. After 5 days or so called and left a voice mail message as well as sent him an email requesting the status of the bid. Never received any response back from either contact. Don't know why there was no communication back -- would have at least appreciated hearing that the job was too small for them, or that they were too busy -- or something. But to hear nothing at all was, in my opinion, simply unprofessional.

I had an idea of what I wanted and provided Brent Stansberry, the Lifestyles company owner, with a couple of photos of a porch I liked on an architecturally similar house. We discussed the job, he provided a detailed cost estimate, and I looked at samples of the decking and railing materials to ensure they would be what I wanted. I removed the shrubs and prepared the site. Brent constructed the framing and installed the decking, railing, and corner post. Brent then removed the old angled concrete walkway and constructed a new walkway with an arching bend that leads to the opening on the porch. Brent was very conscientious about communicating with me every step along the way and getting my feedback on the project. He informed me when Lifestyles would be on-site and when they were leaving the work site. He was responsive to my concerns and ensured that the job results matched my vision.

He very patiently brainstormed on ideas and quoted things multiple times until we where happy. He provided lots of choices and references for the deck. We just had him do the do the deck 1st, but later added the stone patio after we saw what a beautiful job he did on the deck. He is very detail oriented and perfectionist about making things right. I had some minor complaints about the deck when building it and it came out and fixed everything to my satisfaction. I particularly like the fact that he personally does much of the work instead of just hiring a bunch of people to do it as he is in it for the long haul. He has good relationships with local suppliers and got us excellent pricing on materials.

Lifestyles replaced our deck and also installed a cement patio and stairs. They had a lot of ideas and solutions and compared to a couple other bids, seemed to have more on the ball for a better price. Deck construction was a little slow, though to be fair, it had a little to do with our setup. Deck looks great, cement work was great and the stairs are fabulous. Lifestyles also put in a small fence in our backyard, which works great. We would use again.

Mr. Stansberry came out to the house and gave me the bid. He was a little slow to respond, but he was a great guy. Also, the bid was a little out of my price range. So, I didn?t use this company. He came out and did the measurement. He got back to me with the plan. He used a program which showed a three-dimensional image of what he was to build. He had a lot of options that he was offering. The quote was worth $4500. I will consider using this company in the future.

They were excellent. They were very professional and very timely because we were in a time crunch. They were also cost effective; they were very competitively priced compared to other options.

Brent's design was both creative and matched what we wanted to accomplish. We had several unique challenges, such as a more severe grade thna we originally anticipated. Brent designed custom rock retaining walls in both the front and back yards. The lot also included a greenbelt strom drain that Brent incorporated into our design by adding a beautiful dry river bed. These features made it necessary to have a custom design fence. Brent's design and craftsmanship far exceeded what we hoped for or expected given the unique territorial challenges. Brent was able to design a dog run into our landscaping without distracting from the style or pleasant view. Brent cut each individual plank of the wood fence to mold around the rock retaining wall. His custom gates matched both the architectual design of the house and the theme we were trying to create.

He came when he said he was going to come, and worked efficiently. He cleaned up his mess as he worked. He is pleasant, fair and accurate. He never changed prices on me. He gave a verbal contract and stuck right with it.
