We had a great experience with Lifestyles Deck and Fence. Brent replaced our old deck and with a beautiful deck of much better design and lay-out for our home and yard. He was creative and able to envision a more functional deck and stairs than the one we had. (The other builders who bid the job were not able to see past the design flaws in the original deck and stairs, and would have just replaced them with the same or similar flaws.) Brent does high quality work, and strives for complete customer satisfaction. We are thrilled with the finished project!

Brent and his crew were remarkable in their quality, good nature, overall excellence. Their fence and railings were beautiful, both in appearance and the quality of installation. All is now very solid and truly handsome to look at. The crew were on time, worked without complaint through four solid days of rain, and did not let that rain deter them from delivering consistently high quality work for a reasonable price relative to competitive bids I acquired. We have very high standards for any work to be performed on our house. Lifestyles exceeded our expectations, and the owner carefully inspected all the work to ensure we would receive outstanding value for our investment. Brent was thoughtful, very knowledgeable, and obviously hired crew that willingly demonstrated remarkable excellence throughout. Brent Stansberry completed a large deck and stairway to the second story of our house. Brent is creative and has an excellent eye for design and colors. Brent and his crew are excellent craftsmen and pay attention to detail. We had two warranty issues with the deck manufacturing company. Brent stood behind us and helped with the warranty process. Although the deck manufacturing company did not provide enough for Brent’s labor to reinstall the deck, Brent refused to take additional funds to cover his costs. Brent and his staff are punctual, courteous and provide excellent service.

Excellent! Brent and his crew are the easiest bunch of guys to work with you could ask for, they are polite, punctual and work extremely hard to get the job done to your satisfaction. I had invited five companies to give me bids on the deck replacement. One said the job was too much for him, two were almost twice as expensive, one chose not to submit a bid when he found out that Lifestyles was in the competition and another came in real close but Brent had a military discount which won. All of the bidders had high ratings on this site. I was present during about 90% of the work and the workers were always pleasant to be around and seemed to enjoy their work and their employer. They cleaned up every night before leaving and made accommodations for my dog to get out during the night. I have some wood working and engineering experience and was very impressed with the quality of the work I observed and Brent was always ready to address my questions and concerns throughout the process. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lifestyle Deck and Fence for any jobs in the your future. I plan to have them back here.

Brent & his crew, Able & Steven, were amazing! Brent gave me an estimate on Monday & started working right away. The estimate was very reasonable & the quality of work is second to none! My deck replacement was completed in 3 days. When they finished, I missed having the crew around. They were a joy to have working at my house. Brent and his crew were on time every day. The construction and attention to detail was top notch. Communication throughout the project was very good. The price and quality was better then others.

Never received a return phone call after my leaving numerous messages. Extremely poor customer service.

Brent provided me with a quote on 4/20. He seemed very knowledgeable had some good ideas. His price was competitive with the other quotes I received. I sent Brent an email on 4/22 letting him know that we would like to proceed with his quote. I did not hear back and sent him a follow-up email on 4/28 followed up with a text on 4/29. Brent texted back that he had been busy with the Home & Garden show but would give me a call to discuss the project specifics on Monday (5/1). I still have never heard back from Brent. Apparently he is way too busy to follow up on a $42,085 project that was his. I am glad to find this out before hiring his company. Unfortunately, I just wasted a couple of weeks and am now having to push out my project until the middle of the summer when the contractor I hired is available.

Our first introduction to Lifestyles Deck and Fence was at the Vancouver Home and Garden show and Brent Stansberry, the owner, was very helpful in reviewing the TREX options and explaining the installation process. A half year later we had him give us a quote using dimensioned deck layouts that we were able to provide. Originally the work was scheduled for March due to workload but the winter snow delayed some of Brent's work and he asked us if they could do our project earlier. After removing the deck furniture and shoveling the remaining snow from the deck we were ready to proceed. Abel and Steve, and Brent once and awhile, worked on the project for the better part of 9 continuous days including 1/2 days on Saturday and Sunday. The weather was mostly cloudy and cold with a few days of light rain. Both men were very friendly and professional in their approach to the work and answered our questions in a respectful manner during those 9 days. At the conclusion of the project they removed all construction debris, washed down the new deck and railings, and raked out the barked area around the new deck leaving the site ready to use. We were very pleased with the whole experience and inaugurated the deck with a BBQ three days later. Our thanks to Brent, Abel, and Steve for a job well done!

Lifestyle Deck and Fence replaced our 10x20 ft. wooden deck with a 20x27 Timber Tech Legacy Deck last August. They did an amazing job! Our backyard was in the final stages of being re-landscaped and Brent worked side by side with the Landscaped designer to make sure our new deck flowed perfectly with the new stone wall and walkway. The crew was on time, worked so hard in 100 degree heat, and went above and beyond to make sure our deck was everything we wanted it to be. Our new deck doubled our outdoor living space. It is beautiful! I am the first to admit that I am very picky and Brent answered every question I had to make sure the design of the deck was exactly as we wanted it to be. We had taken down part of our side fence to make easier access for the landscapers and deck crew. Brent's crew put it back up perfectly at no extra cost! We had three bids for the deck and theirs came in competitive with the other bids, What won Brett the job, was his attention to detail, his honesty, and willingness to work with us (we tore down the old deck to save cost). We will be replacing our second deck off our master bedroom in March, and can't wait to have Brent and his crew back to complete our total backyard make-over. You won't be disappointed by Lifestyle Fence and Deck.

The crew removed the old cedar decking and hauled it off for recycling. They inspected the framing for rot and determined that it was in good condition and could be re-used. They adjusted the joists to 16 inch centers. They then installed TimberTech decking using the hidden fastening system. They also added a 4-foot wide step from the middle of the deck to the ground. They added two 2-level plant shelves at the outside corners. They worked through some incredibly challenging weather conditions (rain and wind) but they got the job done, including cleaning up the job site.

The guys showed up on time, very professional. The team didn't slack. They focused and got the job done right a lot faster then I thought they would. We will be having them out next year to put the put Pergola on.

Lifestyles Deck and Fence was one of five companies that I had bid the project. The other companies either didn't want the work, or were trying to make a killing on the price. Brent was the only one that understood the quality level we were after that would still keep costs within our budget. The other companies acted like the amenities we wanted were hard to do or very expensive. Brent easily grasped what we were looking for, and offered a complete and competitive bid for the work. The crew of Abel, Dustin and Steve, were nice people to be around, and were hard-working and competent. They all wanted to deliver quality work without taking short-cuts. We replaced three separate decks from the ground up, and they did a great job. I highly recommend them.

We bought our house several years ago knowing that the backyard would need massive work to be usable. It was mostly dirt, weeds, and irrigation. The existing deck was about 15 feet above ground and the stairs to the ground were unsafe. There was no fencing to keep it private. Not an ideal place to send young kids out to play. After working with Lifestyles, we're thrilled that we now have the backyard we want! The proposal was the most professional and detailed one we received. It included both an itemized list of work with prices and a 3D rendering to help us visualize what we were getting. Brent was great at offering design suggestions, such as using cedar railing with black aluminum spindles so that the deck rail would match the black chain link fence. The workers were friendly and courteous. We share a private drive and not once did our neighbors or we have an issue getting in and out. The site was cleaned at the end of each day. We had no issues getting updates or having any of our concerns/questions answered. They didn't mind the kids staring and knocking on the windows all day and even interacted with them. I think the only criticism I can find is that there were several screws left behind on the ground. It wasn't excessive and I expected some due to the amount of work. But when I spoke with Brent about this, he was apologetic and promised to talk to his crew. He explained that a magnet couldn't pick up the type of screw they use, but liked my suggestion of going over the site with a metal detector. He cares about his business and knows the best thing he can do for it is to make his customers happy and take their suggestions to heart. The work itself is superb. We were skeptical about having a deck that connected to a chain link fence (we wanted to maintain the view of the green space behind the house), but everything flows together seamlessly. The fence looks great and we're glad we have it, but, let's face it, it's just a fence. Our deck, though, has become the envy of our neighbors.

Received several bids and decided to go with this particular contractor as we liked the railing system. Looked at a project that they have completed near our home and liked the way that project was completed and especially the view from the deck to the valley below. Estimate was slightly higher than the other bids but again liked the previous project. The project found dry rot in several places due to improper flashing and bad construction techniques. Repaired dry rot and replaced structure and siding. Due to these problems the project took several days longer then estimated. The field workers were very personable and knowledgeable. Kept us informed when they ran into problems and concerns. The field workers did a very professional job. People may have to wait due to the fact that only one crew is used for installing; however the wait is worth it due to the quality of the work.

I had a hard time finding a company to do the work since I wanted a non-standard fence. Brent stepped up and provided exactly what I was looking for. The results are very good. The crew was courteous and unobtrusive. They did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves when they were done. I would highly recommend Lifestyles.

Lifestyles Deck never made another attempt to make another appointment with us. It's been 2 months since we purchased his service and now we just want our money back.

They were great. Worked in the pouring rain to get a fence ready so we could move into the new house. They were great!

I contacted Brent at Lifestyles Deck and Fence, through Angie's List, in late April due to a special he was having on designing a new deck to replace the one that had been deteriorating slowly the past 10 years and eventually was removed. He listed to all of my wishes, financial constraints and took the time to totally understand what I wanted to see in my dream deck. He designed 2 different 3D options and when we met to discuss the plans, I was so pleased with him and his vision(s) of what I might like that I chose one and we scheduled my deck construction to begin in May. Brent is extremely professional and very likeable. His crew was always on time, very courteous and their eye for detail was impeccable. My deck was a 2 tier deck with rails on the upper deck and a bench built on the lower deck to overlook my KOI pond. The 8 day construction, even with supply issues, did not cause Brent and his crew to extend the schedule. I was constantly kept informed of the progress, supply issues, daily work schedule, etc. At the end of the project, all areas were completely cleaned up. I am so pleased with the whole experience that I plan on calling Brent for some of my future projects.

I received four bids for replacing our 25 year old deck that was rotting away one board at a time.Lifetsyles owner, Brent, was the most professional and detailed in his bid. He took the time to really understand what we wanted to do and, based on his experience (he shared a lot of pictures of decks he had done) offered some very nice suggestions which we found enhanced our intended use of the deck space. His quote was the most detailed and he provided very nice 3D drawings to ensure we would get what we wanted. Most of the other quotes just supplied numbers and some of those were just a grand total. Our next door neighbor had just replaced their deck with a comparable product using one of the vendors we asked for a bid but we rejected that vendor based on our neighbor's poor experience with the vendor's salesman (after the job started there were issues which the sales person ignored) and work crew and the finish of the material. We chose to hire Lifestyles mainly due to Brent's professionalism, his portfolio of projects and recommendations from satisfied customers. Brent stayed on top of the job, checking in with his crew and us on a regular basis. His work crew were always courteous and professional in their work and paid a lot of attention to finish details, reflecting Brent's passion for excellence. Brent is a consummate designer: once the project started I decided I wanted to add a shade screen since the deck faces south and gets a lot of sun. Brent design a pergola and integrated that nicely with the existing roof line and finish of our house. Also, when a lower deck walkway was torn our we discovered the source of a water problem (we have a lot of underground springs here) that had been masked by the old walkway and I asked Brent if he could remedy this. Turns out, he has an extensive landscaping background and designed a very clever French drain and new gravel pathway that has pretty much solved the problem!! All in all, you can expect a high degree of professionalism, creativity and competent project management and highly capable work crews if you select Lifestyles for your project.

It was delayed a little bit, about a month. We were doing phone tag back and forth. We got them out to the house a couple days ago so we have not received the design as of yet.
