Description of Work: Replaced 30 year old air handler, heat pump, filter and finish work on some duct work that original installer did not do. They also measured square footage and all windows and doors to calculate the correct size of system units to install and provided me withh sound and realistic options for both improvement and alternative system configurations as requested. I had 5 of the top rated HVAC companies come out and gi ve me a quote. Dana's was the only company that calculated my home's needs based on actual measurements instead of just eye balling the estimate. I found Dana's to be the most professional.

To whom it may concern, On Jan. 16, 2015, xx xxxxxxxxx phoned to advise that he had found the problem with his furnace on his own and was requesting a refund of his diagnostic fee, which we promptly processed, cut a check, and mailed to him. The check #19989 for $118.48 was cashed on or about Jan. 21, 2015. We believed the issue to be satisfactorily resolved. Please refer to letter below. Sincerely, Jim S. January 19, 2015 xxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxx xxxxxxx xxxx xxxxxxx, xx. xxxxx Dear Mr. xxxxxxxxx, Thank you for the opportunity to service your Trane gas furnace. When our technician was there for a “no-heat” call, he thought the circuit board was failing. Apparently, he did not see or could not find the air filter. After he left, you found the air filter and it was plugged. You have replaced it and the furnace works fine now. You have stated you believe this was misdiagnosed and would like a refund of the fee. Description of Work: They installed a new American Standard furnace and also an air conditioner, which we previously didn't have, last Fall. They did the work promptly and were available for any questions we had. We are please with the work and happy that we got air conditioning, even though it was an expensive option.

The week before our scheduled April installation, my old Reillo burner's pump motor died. Dana's sent out a tech to replace the pump-for no charge. On installation day, the crew arrived on time and performed their work efficiently and neatly. Installation took a day and a half, as I recall, as the old furnace had to be yanked from the basement, the new furnace had to be fitted, moderate sheet metal work was required, and they cleaned the existing ductwork, too. The sheet metal man, ductwork installer, and furnace technician all were professional and knowledgeable. (I didn't get to witness the duct cleaning, but I trust that it was performed well.) The new furnace performs very well with its variable speed blower. I'm anxious to compare this season's heating bill with the past to see if the efficiency has gone up. Replacement was overdue, however, and I am very happy with the result.
Description of Work: Dana's replaced my 40-year-old oil furnace with a Thermo-Pride unit. I had called them on a Saturday in February when the old furnace failed to ignite. Turns out that my supplier had not filled the tank recently but did so Monday morning, so when the tech showed up for our Monday afternoon appointment everything was fine. He charged me for a normal service call, which the furnace was due for anyway, including replacing a leaking piston on the Reillo burner, which I had asked him to do. (Turns out, it wasn't the source of the leak after all.) In March I selected Dana's from three furnace-replacement estimates I'd asked for, not only because their price was in the middle but because Dana himself was the most accommodating and knowledgeable estimator I'd spoken with. He had proposed a Beckett burner, but agreed with me that my preferred Reillo was rated more efficient (if not a bit more expensive). Also, he offered to write off the February service call as part of his quote!

They did everything in a day and there were no problems. The price was very reasonable as well. They answered all of my questions and cleaned up everything as well. I would recommend them to other people any time because they are reliable and reasonable.

I HAD 5 ESTIMATES DONE FOR THE JOB AND WAS ABOUT TO HAVE THE JOB DONE BY A COMPANY THAT USED AMERICAN STANDARD EQUIPMENT. THEIR BID WAS $6900. AT THE LAST MINUTE I HAD DANAS COME OUT AND THEY BEAT THE BID BY $1000 FOR THE SAME EQUIPMENT.
