The guy that came out did a great presentation and I liked that. I have no complaints. I had someone else come out to quote me on same type of thing, they did no nearly like he did; so he was very knowledgeable. He did everything within his power and he convinced me to buy without being pushy; but I wasn't ready to do so.

The installation did not go smoothly. There was a change in plan on the day of installation regarding location of the heating system. Initially the representative from the company recommended installation in a back hallway. The installer recommended installation in a larger living space and not installing it next to the electric panel. An alternative location was found in the dining area. I had to leave prior to the end of the installation. Upon returning, found that the designated electric line could not be used to power the device. An electric line was run on the outside of the building, across the front of my door, and into a utility closet. I was not consulted with about this and was quite surprised especially as this is a homeowner's association. The owner of the company was contracted and came out. An alternative means of power was found through the use of my garage. This required a separate visit by the electrician. The owner of the company was knowledgeable about getting the problem fixed and also identified a cold air leak in my living room. Although small nails were used, the siding on the outside of the building was punctured. The electric permit was pulled. However, the mechanical permit and the permit for replacing the gas hot water heater were not. This is a retrofit installation to replace a hydronic heating system. Overall, I am satisfied with how the system works and confident that the owner is responsive and capable of resolving complaints.

Called for an appointment, ended up that two weeks out was the earliest that someone could come out. Gave us a time window of 10 to 12 for appointment. Service man arrived at about 11. Serviced fireplace.

Sundance did a great job. They came on a Saturday and did it right away and their bid was much less than other companies. They did everything they said they would and did it all. I have been very happy with them so far. Sundance was very professional and they cleaned up after themselves, everything they did was top notch. Everything looks really nicely done and they did everything right when they said they would do it.

They came out on an ugly, icy day to fix my furnace. They are clean, professional, and prompt. I am using them again next week to put in a fireplace insert.

We found Sundance on Angie's list when we were looking to purchase and install a gas fireplace insert. After getting bids from a couple different contractors, we went with Sundance based on the expertise and professionalism of the consultant who came to our house to do the estimate. Though they weren't the absolute cheapest, Sundance's bid was very reasonable and we felt confident that they would do a good job. It was the thoroughness and clear expertise of the consultant that sold us on Sundance. The work went smoothly: they were on time, the job took about 4 hours, and they did exactly what had been discussed during the consultation. After installing the main insert, they had a metal surround piece custom-built to perfectly fit the fireplace. They came back about 1 week after completing the main work to install that custom surround and check to make sure we were satisfied with the previous work. Installing the surround only took about 20 minutes. The fireplace insert they helped us select is perfect for the space and we are very happy with it. We were very satisfied with the quality of the workmanship and the professionalism of this company. We felt very comfortable with the work they were doing, because everything was clearly explained to us during the consultation, and they did not deviate from that plan. The cost was right on par with the initial estimate. They put down plastic on the floor to keep from tracking any dirt onto the carpet. All our questions were answered, and everyone who came out to our house was professional and courteous. We would definitely recommend Sundance to a friend.

I had did a lot of research on fireplaces and companies that sell them. I ended up at Sundance and Terry S. came out to our home on short notice b/c the representative that usually has our area was unavailable. He spent a lot of time with us. He followed up on our communications. He and the company arranged extraneous things for me (a visit to the store in Mt. Vernon EARLY in the a.m. before they open b/c I work up that way), the purchase of some discontinued fire doors, and when the venting we got with our unit was incorrect, Curtis was quick to get it right. Rarely, calls back took longer than I would have liked. They treated me like I was buying 100 fireplaces - - not just one, relatively inexpensive one. We are just installing the fireplace but I know that if we have any issues, they'll support us.

We did shop around, and these guys were not over priced. We went with the standard water tank. We had an uncommon size, and it was less to go with the bigger size, so we went with that. It was a much more energy efficient model than the one we had before. They showed up on time, did the work, and did a thorough job in explaining how it worked. The city came and inspected it and signed it off for us. They also took care of the energy rebate that we were to receive.

The technican arrive on time. The technican first worked on the furnance. Cleaned and vacuumed inside the furnace and checked for gas leaks. Cleaned the fireplace insert and checked the fireplace for gas leaks.

Our fireplace had not been working for awhile, so we asked Sundance to repair it. They diagnosed that gas was not flowing to the burner but that gas pressure to the valve was OK. They therefore replaced the gas valve. This did nothing to fix the fireplace, however, and the technician was stumped. He left. After repeated calls back, the company finally relented and sent someone back to continue working on the problem. The second person discovered that the gas tube (downstream of the valve) was blocked by a "spider's egg sack," and the fireplace worked fine after the spider's nest was cleaned out. Very frustrating experience for a couple reasons: Most importantly, I suspect I paid almost $700 when all that was needed was a thorough cleaning of the parts. Also, Sundance was very slow to return our calls and agree to come back to finish the job. I think these are honorable, decent people, but after the first technician was stumped, they froze up and didn't follow through on the job until we persisted. Our overall experience was expensive and terrible, but the fireplace is at least working now.

Response time was great. Our water heater failed on a Friday and Sundance responded within 24hrs and a new tank installed by noon Saturday. I had to call them back to re-route the relief valve piping and they did so immediately with no charge. Since then I have recieved two follow up courtesy calls from the main office to make sure everything was running properly. Bottom line, these people know customer service and thier going the extra mile to maintain thier clients!

We had a mixed experience with Sundance, although we would ultimately use them again. The fireplace did look very nice once installed and overall we were pleased with the quality of the work However, we were surprised to get charged an additional $150 fee to use some minimal and basic materials to raise the fireplace a foot off the floor. Also the work did not pass inspection the first time and they had to return to correct the problems. They were very responsive to getting things taken care of and it did pass inspection the second time. When we subsequently had the rock work done by another company, the platform that we paid an extra fee for was not square to the wall and had to be moved. Most of the people we worked with were very nice and courteous, even when they had to come back.

Everything went beautifully. However, with our main fireplace, they needed to order a custom cover as it was not a standard size. It took a while to receive the new cover. This could have been due to the time it took to order the new cover. Other than that, it was great all of the way. The man who gave the estimate was great, as well as the man who installed the inserts was great! They did return to replace pipes for the tankless water heater. Took a bit longer than I desired, but overall they did a great job. I will definately use them again in the future.

It went very well. We love the new fireplace which should save us a lot in fuel costs since we just had a gas log before. They perform the annual maintenance on our furnace and water heater and always do a good job.

This heat pump is advertised as "whisper quiet" and energy efficient so we thought it would be a great replacement/supplement for our noisy, energy hog wall heaters. When it was first used during the beginning of last year's heat wave, we thought a truck was driving past, but soon realized it was our "whisper quiet" heat pump vibrating our walls and the pictures on them. 6/12/09:service tech added vibration pads and moved the unit further out on the mount which made things worse. 6/25/09: tech tried to add more pads and moved the unit closer on the mount and indicated that the unit may have to be moved to the ground & referred call to sales. 7/9/09: salesperson said sometimes wall mounted brackets are a problem/sometimes not. 7/17/09: salesperson said they may have a soundproofing solution and would be in contact with us. By 10/8/09 we had heard nothing from the company so we called them back. 10/23/09: No call back, so we called them again and left a message. On 10/26/09 I called the manufacturer to ask for a solution, and Sundance responded immediately. 10/27/09:Tech came back out and stated that mgmt would have to make a decision on moving unit, since vibration problem could not be resolved with wall mount. It is now 4/12/10, Sundance has been out on 4/7/10 with no solution and no call back. Unit is nearing 1 YEAR install anniversary. 4/12/10: Called manufacturer again. Awaiting resolution, if any.

I am extremely pleased with them. They removed the existing unit and replaced it with a Mitsubishi Mr. Slim. They were prompt, did really good work, and cleaned up after themselves. I couldn’t ask for more except maybe a lesser price. They did not exceed their estimate at all.

I was worried he wasn't as forthcoming as other companies I had received estimates from. The estimate seemed to leave off other work that was involved in other bids. I was told he was trying to save me money but not completing as much work. I would have liked to make that decision myself. I know they have a great reputation, but I will not have them complete the work. The other company seemed much more comprehensive and worried about long term use and having it run efficiently. They did offer to do the work on Saturday without any problem, which would have been convenient. *UPDATE* I chose to contact this company after an extremely negative situation with the other company I received a bid from. I couldn't be happier I gave them a second chance. They were very accommodating with my scheduled when the other company was unwilling. They were patient, prompt, and responsive. They were able to get me the water heater at a better rate then I was expecting. They were such a professional company to work with. They even followed up a few hours later to ensure I wasn't having any issues. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing this type of work.

This was not a planned installation but the previous hot water gave it up one Saturday morning. At my insistence, they did not come out until Monday as we did not have an emergency need to have it fixed on Sunday. The first visit was to make the sale, makes sense. I had already been on the net researching tankless so I was prepared for the $$$-shock (including running 75 feet of new/bigger hose from the meter to tank site). Uncle Sam is providing an energy tax credit of @ $1250 and our utlity has a rebate of $150, so the price came within a few hundred of what replacing our old direct vent would have been. They helped us make the decision, scheduled the install and a competent, polite crew who crawled under the house for half a day to make it happen (not worth it to me at any price!). I had used Sundance before for a small gas fireplace job, did not hesitate to call them back for this job and would definitely use them again for whatever comes up next!

It went great. They were on time and very professional. They went above and beyond the "cleaning" to help me figure out the source of the smell (including climbing on the roof). They also clearly layed out for me what additional options I might have if the smell was not fixed. They also taught me how to use my fireplace (which my home inspector had done incorrectly). They did not charge more than the 99 dollars for the cleaning and even excepted the 5 dollar coupon even though it wasn't over 100 until you added tax.

Very well. We are happily using both fireplaces now.

The technician arrived on the appointed hour, confirmed the problem was probably the blower, and warned me what to expect. He suggested either replacing the blower, or given the age of the furnace, he also quoted a new furnace for me. He also fixed a few other general maintenance issues. We are now debating which solution to pursue. I have used Sundance several times over the years and always been happy with their work.

What a pleasure to work with knowledgeable, professional people. Great experience overall from Doug to the two guys( Paul and his assistant ) who did the install. Unfortunatle when they opened the insert the glass was broken but Paul quickly called and got one out of showroom display. He then ordered a new glass which came a few weeks later. But we had the use of the fireplace during the holidays. They were very careful in our home putting down tarps and wearing shoe booties. Both Doug and Paul explained everything about the do's & don'ts concerning the insert. Money well spent. We are really enjoying this upgrade

They ran a gas line into the kitchen from an existing T. They came out twice to install the gas line b/c the first time it was in the incorrect location (just off by a little). Which is fine, mistakes happen. Had a 3:00 appointment, had to take time off work again, to have the installer show up at 5:15. I was told it was an error in communication between the dispatcher and the installer. Work was done correctly the second time around . I would use them again but can not say I would recommend them to others. To many things that went wrong during the process. They can improve on communication with each other.

They were great. They were neither the cheapest nor very expensive. They guy who worked with me was great.
