We got 2 bids, and Fritz was within just a few dollars of the other bid if we wanted white gutters. If we wanted color, Fritz didn't chage extra, the other did. Fritz also didn't try and sell us on extras, we were the ones asking him about the Leaf Relief mesh we had heard about. He also asked us to call him regarding the bid, he cared whether we used him or not. The other firm did not want a call back if we weren't using them. We like the way he did business, and the gutters installed look great. Fritz promises we are going to love the mesh, as we have lots of small needles blowing on our roof, and we're tired of cleaning out the gutters.

Everything was as scheduled and as estimated.

My decision to use a company other than Sound Gutters & Roofing Co. was based only on my electing to use a different leaf guard system. Fritz was professional, punctual and completely upfront with what was required should his bid be successful. The quoted price was very reasonable, and his follow up to see if I had any questions was a pleasant surprise, as in my experience this doesn't happen with many companies. Based on this experience alone, I'd happily recommend Fritz and his company to anyone requiring his services.

I contacted SG&R based on recommendations I saw on Angie's List. Fritz and his crew did an excellent job of replacing my gutters for the quoted price. They arrived about 7:30, and were done, with everything cleaned up before noon. Great job, and I would use them again.

On time, they quickly had the old gutter off and a new one made and installed. Couldn't have been easier. Will be calling Fritz for any future gutter work.

I requested 5 bids for this job, and Fritz's estimate was second highest. However, Fritz warned me of potential problems on his first inspection and that, along with the high recommendations from Angie's List, led me to select SG&R for the job. Fritz was very punctual, completed the work quickly and efficiently, performed very good clean-up, and billed for the estimated amount, including an Angie's List discount. I would certainly use him again and recommend him to others.

These folks arrived at our neighbors house a little before 7am on a Saturday and proceeded to hammer and saw away for three and a half hours. This is illegal and in direct violation of the City of Seattle sound ordinance. We will never recommend a company that condones such obvious disregard for common decency.

Fritz was fantastic, always professional and punctual and went the extra mile to satisfy our needs. We had scheduled the job for a Monday, but a family emergency understandably prevented him from coming. He let me know as soon as he did and came the following Saturday, giving up some of his weekend to make us happy. Job was done well and without a hitch. Definitely recommend to anyone.

They were very helpful and responsive to all our questions and desires. The work was done on time and professionally. Care was taken to clean up after completion. I have waited to submit a report, to test the gutters in heavy rain. I'm happy to say they are working and draining perfectly.

Went great. Fritz wasn't sure he would be able to match the color based on the description I gave him, but he came by, and then sent us an estimate. We signed and the next week he came by and did the work. We now have a perfectly color matched gutter to replace our dented one.

Contacted Fritz to request estimate. He showed up to provide the estimate as scheduled and provided written estimate on the spot. The price seemed reasonable to me so we hired him. He contacted us as promised to set up time to do the work. Fritz showed up on time and did exactly what he promised he would for the price he quoted. He did a good job removing 90 year old gutters and installing the new gutters. Fritz is very professional and does quality work. We would absolutely hire him again.

Fritz came to the house on time and provided an estimate on site. A subcontractor also came with an estimate for required repairs to the eaves and painting. After removing the old gutter, he completely cleaned up and recycled the old gutter materials. The subcontractor did an excellent job prepping the eaves for the new gutters. At a scheduled time, Fritz and an colleague completed installing the new gutters. Overall, they did an excellent job, were very responsive, on time and provided detailed estimates of the work. I would gladly recommend Sound Gutters and Roofing.

I solicited three estimates and Sound Gutters & Roofing (SGR) was the most economical and timely. Two of three estimates (including SGR) were done within 24 hours without requiring my presence for the estimate. Both pointed out that the trouble was related to a funky fascia & soffit construction that would need to be corrected somehow, though both could not be precise about what was needed until the gutters were removed for closer inspection. SGR was willing to work with us in keeping costs down by allowing us to do the fascia/soffit work ourselves whereas the other economically competitive bid would have expected to do all the work himself. We were visiting Seattle from out-of-state and wished to have the work done before we left which was only ten days away from getting the estimate. SGR was able to accommodate our short time frame whereas the other contractor was not. SGR was very candid about wanting to compete for the work which made me a bit anxious until I took his recommendation to check references on Angie's List which were outstanding. I believe I requested the estimate on Tuesday morning, he got it to me on Wednesday afternoon, I confirmed on Thursday evening, and he removed our gutters on Friday morning so we could inspect the fascia/soffit issues together. I signed a contract but he required no down-payment. He was happy to offer helpful advice to me about how to do the fascia/soffit work (several calls) through the next week. He was there on schedule the following Thursday morning to create and hang the gutters and downspouts in about three hours - no surprises in service or cost. I asked that we test the level with water (something the other estimate said he did routinely) which was evidently unusual for SGR, but he was cooperative about it.

Fritz arrived on time for the estimate. After a quick walk around, he gave me a written estimate, and a discount for mentioning that I got his name from Angie's List. I solicited other estimates, but Fritz, while slightly more expensive, had better materials and was more responsive to my questions / concerns. On the installation day, he arrived slightly early. He and his helper had the old gutters / downspouts down and the new ones up about two hours. The cleaned up after themselves. No suprises when it came time to pay the bill. Fritz was always professional, had very good customer service, and seemed genuinely interested in both my initial business, and my possible future business. I would use his company again.

Fritz came out on time, gave us a free estimate, and perfomed the work within several days. He was very professional, did what he said he was going to do, and charged what he said he going to charge. He should give lessons to service companies on how to deal with customers. We would highly recommend him and would use his company again.

Went well. Scheduled quickly, came for the estimate and installation timely, phoned to keep me informed. During installation found a couple of other issues and was able to handle them at the time. They were careful around the yard and cleaned everything up.

Fritz did an amazing job. After reading all the positive reviews about him and his company, I knew this is who I wanted to hire. I called for an estimate and he was at my home the next day. The quote was very reasonable, so I scheduled him to do the install the next week. He was quick and efficient. He had all the gutters installed by midday. There was no mess left behind. He made sure to walk around my house twice to pick up any scraps he had left behind. The gutters look great! And I cannot wait for it to rain ;) I will most definitely be using Sound Gutters & Roofing again in the future.

Quality, workmanship, punctuality and product were excellent. The gutters look and work great. The quote was about 5% higher than a competitor, but the overall result is well worth it.

It went so smoothly and they did a great job. I called on a Wednesday and Fritz (owner of the business) called me back the same day. He came out the next day and gave me an estimate and installed everything the following Monday in about 3 1/2 hours. He arrived on time and kept me informed when he found something I needed to know - like the missing fascia boards. When he and his assistant completed the job, Fritz walked me around the yard to show me what they had done. The installation was perfect and so professionaly done. I was so pleased with the craftmanship and pride he takes in doing the job right that I asked him for several of his business cards so I could recommend him to friends and family. His estimate was right on and was 1/2 of what another company wanted for the same job. His labor is guaranteed for 5 years. The gutter and downspouts materials are warranted for 20 years. I was glad he is also a roofer because he knew exactly how to install the fascia boards. I chose Sound Gutters and Roofing from Angie's List based on their A rating and customer feedback. I was impressed with his attention to detail and his work ethic which is explained on his website. I would definitely hire him again and intend to use his services if my roofs ever need repair or replacement. This is one contractor you can trust to get the job done right.

Great! Very professional. He communicates which is not like other contractor/home improvement people I have worked with. He calls to confirm time, shows up promptly, reviews what he is going to do to make certain we are on the same page, he shows me potential problem areas and possible solutions so I know why he might have to do something a slightly different way than originally planned (eg-was discovering my roof-line sloped toward the house which was not desirable). Price is reasonable. He cleans up, finishes and does a thorough walk-around. If you need gutters or any roofing done, Fritz is the person to call and he is definitely work waiting for if his schedule is booked up - you will not regret it.
