They were professional, efficient, and actually cared about completing the job to our satisfaction.

These folks are excellent. We had the two owners at our home for nearly the entire project, with little help from a brother an friend along the way. They helped us pick out materials - we were a bit clueless for a few areas and very wishy-washy on some aesthetics. They took the time to bid out even the most minor differences in materials whenever we asked them. As these projects tend to go we ended up having them do a bit more work than we orginally asked for, as well as requested a larger roof than originally agreed upon. They (hand wrote at times) wrote out bids and did some informal agreements with us and followed up in writing. Given our family's travel schedule we had to communicate by text and email at times due to time differences. L & L was more than accommodating. They also always let us know when they would be at our home and were very punctual. Whenever they encountered an unexpected problem they would stop work in that area until we had agreed on how to resolve the issue. A bit more about our history with contractors: We bought our home out of foreclosure about 4 years ago. We knew we'd be hiring almost all the work out over time. We've had our share of contractors through this place. Many tried to cheat on materials, sizing, etc. We've also had contractors misrepresent their abilities and attempt to work beyond their level of expertise. L & L is one of only two contractors (out of about 8) we have had that I would give an A++++ to. They are not the cheapest but they are very thorough, very truthful and very good at what they do.

Ray and Glen did some previous work on my house in 2011 and they were always great to work with. They communicate well, have good ideas, reasonable cost and quality work. I had a deck built last month and I was thoroughly pleased with the end product. Ray consulted with me on a few different ideas and suggestions. They were very tidy around the yard when working and cleaned up the location after the deck was complete. The deck is fantastic and I would highly recommend L&L for any work you have. Thanks, Clint.

Glenn showed up around 1pm on a Sunday with his trailor. He got to work real fast taking all the measurments and cutting the boards with precision. He then installed them with caulk and everything. He was done in a couple hours. Perfect.

The work was done by the two owners of the company with the occasional help of the brother of one of them. This was one of the decisive factors of allocating the job to this company.

They are a small team, and busy, so sometimes your don't here back on emails and phone calls right away. Very professional, nice, and on time. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

They The work was done very well. On the appointed day, they arrived. They made the repairs and even added additional supports under the stairs at no additional charge. They were courteous and pleasant. They worked hard all day. They did a thorough job of cleaning up and I was very satisfied. I would use them again. The only issue I had was in getting the initial reply to my inquiry. Later found out I had made my inquiry when they were on vacation.

we were very pleased with the deck that L and L construction built for us....it looks great.... they worked closely with us to meet our needs. ray was always on time and well as his co worker. ray was very professional and was open to and patiently listened to our requests.. they also made customized changes where needed. we would give them high marks in all areas and look forward to usuing their services again in the future.

3/10 Update: We elected not to go with this company for our project but Ray was extremely professional in the way he handled the initial problem and I respect him for that. For that reason, I'm changing the grade to a B. Company was not responsive after my initial call asking for an estimate. They did call back almost a week after I initially called (I missed the call). I called them back again, but they never returned my call. I understand that the summer months are busy, but this is not the way to start out a relationship with a customer no matter what the circumstances are. If I can't rely on you to call me back to set up a simple estimate, then why would I trust you to do the job in the first place?

They are doing tremendous work. The two owners do most of the work. They are very conscious on any issue that needs clarification or resolved. They are very thorough. They stay within the original budget/estimate.

Our 16 year old 800 sq ft deck was breaking down and was going to be an issue as we sell our house, so we found L&L on Angie's List and asked them to bid on the replacement.Glenn gave us a reasonable estimate in line with our expectations, and some design guidance that went beyond our expectations.The three man crew did a quality job quickly and within budget, despite pouring rain throughout the 3 day project. Appreciated the clear communications throughout the process. Highly recommend.

There were no surprizes. There were a couple of add ons that can be expected in a job like this. I was kept informed at all times. The job went smoothly. They left the area clean. I was very satisfied

The project went very well. They were on time each day and the entire job went very smoothly. They even noticed that a huge piece of drywall on the ceiling of my garage had 'no screws' in the middle of it and it had started to bow down (I've had this house for 4 years and NEVER noticed this). They were nice enough to point it out and were even nicer to put in the proper screws that it needed to hold it in place. I will definitely hire these guys again in the future and will strongly recommend them to anyone I know that has any home projects that they need done.

L&L Construction's bid was within our budget, they also worked with us on problems that were found during the replacement. We found L&L construction to be professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and eager to answer our questions. The work performed was within the time parameters as bidded. The job was excellent and professionally finished with wonderful results. L&L Construction was always on time and left the job site in each day clean with the debris picked up and removed daily. We highly recommend L&L Construction.

L&L installed a new deck at our previous house years ago as well as a wonderful kitchen remodel and upgrade about a year ago. We contacted L&L to ask if they could come to our house and give us some thoughts and pricing for a new deck, basically replacing our old one. They recommended a different layout as well as some new decking materials. We were happy with their recommendations because the finished product is beautiful!!! They used a product called AZEK, which is PVC type material that handles the Washington weather very well as well as the abuse our two boys inflict on the deck. We had a good idea of what we wanted to spend and L&L was right in line with our budget. They were very careful when tearing out the old deck and once they were complete with the project it was tough to tell they were ever there. We are very happy with the finished product and will utilize L&L for our construction needs in the future.

Over all L&Lconstrection does a very good jib from start to finish.

They collaborated with us on design work, and worked quickly and efficiently. They adapted well when we changed our minds, and when the scope of the job increased. (For example, after accepting their bid, we decided it would be neat to have deck lights; they handled the new requirement with aplomb.) We're quite proud of the new deck, and have been showing it off to our friends.

I had an old wooden deck that due to lack of maintenance was started to rot. I want to replace it with composite boards. There's also an old hot tub on the deck that I want to get rid of. I got three bids. One was quickly eliminated (that one is not from angieslist). At first the other bid was lower than L&L's. However, after the angielist's discount the difference is negligible. Plus, after some discussion, L&L's bid become lower, although that is not the main reason for choosing L&L. I went and selected a mid price deck board from a lumber store. When L&L sent me the bid, they recommended the same deck board. Coincident? Anyway, I picked L&L. They removed the hot tub, built a new frame where the tub was, and put the boards on. My deck happened to be slightly longer than the longest deck board. Instead of simply using two boards and creating a joint, they put what looks like a design element at the joint, so it doesn't look like a joint. They said it takes 3 days but they finished in two days. When I checked the deck I found one area that squeaks. When they came back to pick up the balance of the payment, I pointed that out and they fixed the squeaks in a few minutes. They removed all the pieces of the hot tub, including the pump housing, pipes, and a small power adapter.

It has been a week now. I left a message on the company voice mail. I repeated my name and phone number (on a land line) slowly twice. My phone call was never returned.

We were looking to have our deck repaired but after a closer inspection of it discovered that it needed to be replaced. We decided to go with a slightly larger deck and love the results. Ray and crew did a wonderful job. We couldn't be happier with the results.

The job went smoothly. We were reassured that either Glenn or his partner worked with his crew each day thru out the project and were readily available to answer questions and provide close supervision. The crew was polite and friendly and kept the work site clean and orderly. This is definitely a company I would recommend and use again.

The guys' bid was consistent with other contractors. Once my project was put in the queue, the work dates were not changed. They listened to my ideas and designed the deck/porch for me, took care of the floor repair problem quickly, completed all the work within a week and a half. The completed remodel is beautiful. My neighbors have all contracted them for other jobs. And they love dogs. Would definitely call them again.

We recently sold this house and the buyers had questions for L&L Construction. Ray responded directly to the buyers to help assure them that they would be able to contact them with any potential issues that might arise in the future.

I have used L&L in the past and to be honest, don't think I will ever go to anyone else. Back in June we used them again. They installed some french doors off the back of my house and a window in a dark section of my basement. As before, we were not disappointed. Perfect workmanship, only took a couple days and the price was right. Hey Ray and Glenn, do you guys work on cars? How about legal advice, or investments? I think we'd pretty use L&L for everything if we could. Thanks guys.

They showed up on time and did the job in the time limit that I had. Overall they did an excellent job as my house looked better than it did before. I would hire them again for any of my remodeling needs. Thanks L&L
