Ray is a pro. He was timely, very courteous, and exceptionally detailed. The deck came out very nice. I was sensitive to the way the deck connects to the house (the ledger board) because the last deck wasn't installed right which had risked structural damage. Ray did a beautiful, thorough job attaching the ledger board and explained everything. I'm confident it's done right. Ray did some little unexpected flourishes like a little trap door so I can access my downspout drainage to clean it out if debris collects in there. The stairs were (desirably) bigger than expected because there were leftover materials available. The spacing between the planks is perfect. The lumber is nicely routed on the edges -- no splinters are sharp edges. The job was not rushed so that he could get on to the next; he took his time and did things right. Ray started and finished when he said he would. The jobsite was neat, and Ray did the work himself. No strangers milling about. Nice fellow. Would hire again.

Ray did a super job and is a true craftsman. He talked me through a couple of suggestions and I am in awe of how nice my new deck is. There was no high pressure sales stuff and he worked every week day until completion.

Ray did an EXCELLENT job! He did everything we asked of him.. and more. His workmanship is first class. Our old deck was starting to fall apart, so we hired him to "repair" it - not replace it, but the job he did made it look like a brand new deck. He listened to our desires and made suggestions and worked with us to come up with the perfect solutions. He was patient, friendly and an absolute master craftsman. He worked on it until the job was done, not leaving to take care of other jobs, as some do. We are completely satisfied with the new deck we now have. And I would definitely hire him again before I even looked for anybody else.

The work was done on time and communication was excellent. Took great care to insure the wood was dry and worked with owner to coordinated painting, sanding and sealing of wood prior to installation.

The backyard porches were falling apart so a complete demolition was necessary. They then rebuilt the structures doing quality work in a timely fashion. They lived up to all their promises and commitments (rare these days, in our experience) and charged a fair price. We will definitely hire them again when the time comes for more work to be done.

Glen and his workmate were prompt and professional. They managed to squeeze our project in between a couple of other jobs. Once our deck's staircase had been taken apart, it was apparent that there was more rot than originally anticipated. Glen showed me the problems, explained what needed to be done and clearly communicated how much it would add to the cost. The work was then done quickly and they left the work site so clean, we couldn't tell they had been here. The staircase looks great!

Glenn and Ray are a great team...they went out of their way on all levels - scheduling, craftsmanship, and timely completion. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for work on their home.

They did a fantastic job from the initial visit to the conclusion of the work. On the initial site visit they inspected the existing deck and supports and made helpful suggestions for structural improvements. They were very responsive and punctual. The work was done ahead of schedule and well within the original estimate. The new deck looks fantastic!

Professional, conscientious, great to work with. Owners are hands on so you are guaranteed their experience throughout the project. Did investigative work before quoting, which others did not do, and found rotting studs behind vertical siding which had to be replaced as well as the deck. No surprises therefore, and quote was final. There is absolutely no reason not to at least talk to L&L about your project.

Ray looked at the pictures of the cracks and suggested various reasons for them. He recommended that I contact the original contractor who performed the work to fix these first. I was very impressed that Ray went out of his way to provide very useful information to me and ultimately recommended that I do not hire him right away. If the original contractor falls through, I will be coming back to L & L Construction Services to do the work.

Everything was great. They fixed the problem. They were timely and had a good price. They came right in at the estimate.

The deck overlooks a golf course fairway and high visible to players and neighbors alike. The deck was anticipated to be a high-use outdoor living area and with a specific style and material use. Ray and Glen are meticulous in the approach to their work and really take note of the details while ensuring that all construction is to code, well crafted and to the customer's satisfaction all while providing the customer with alternatives and suggestions that are in the best interests of the customer. The end result is space that our family will enjoy to relax and share with family and friends. Ray and Glen are a real please to deal with, no non-sense, practical, and have the experience that will reduce the risk of a project. They are dedicated to the customer project they are working on and are dependable, timely, orderly. We feel very fortunate to have found Ray and Glen, L&L Construction, to complete this project, we strongly recommend their work.

This is a dock as opposed to a deck. Using 2X6 treated lumber. L&L took a very unglamerous project and with some imagination, turned it into something very attractive

The project was carried out with professional attention to the needs of the community. The boat dock was off limits to swimmers for four days only. Everything was performed as promised and the dock looks wonderful. Resident satisfaction abounds with the finished product and their customer service was outstanding! We have used L&L previously and were more than satisfied with their work. Glen and Ray do not disappoint!

It took them a week to reply and then abruptly told us "we don't do Maple Valley." (they are based in Bellevue)

He seemed very competent and appeared to know what he was doing. He spent nearly an hour with us and we agreed that he would provide an estimate in about 7-10 days later due to his travel schedule. Well, it has been one month and we not heard anything from him. Can only guess that Ray did not want our business. The things that really bothers me is that this turned out to be a tremendous waste of MY time. His lack of any follow through or communication is inexcusable.

It was a small job but done excellently! I would definitely call them again!

Ray came to my home, and was extremely nice and quite professional. You can tell he is a very thorough, detailed guy, who takes pride in his work and doesn't cut any corners. My husband recently transferred jobs and has a 3 hour roundtrip commute, so we were scrambling to get our house in a "for sale" condition immediately. I had a 15 year old(literally rotting) deck that needed to be demolished and replaced. For the work that Ray would have done, the price he gave was extremely fair. If I planned to keep my home, and was just replacing my deck for my own sake, I would not have thought twice about hiring him. Unfortunately, I was moving, so was looking for the cheapest price possible, and not necessarily quality. If it is quality you are looking for, and a great price, I would definitely recommend you give Ray a call. I really wanted to give him my business, but didn't want to spend that much money(although it was a good price) on a house I was putting up for sale. If you are looking for someone who will take pride in their work, do a great job( i saw the amazing pictures), and give you a good price, I suggest you call this guy!!

We hired Ray on the recommendation of Dunn Lumber and we were very happy we did. We had used another contractor to build our porch/deck but we were very unhappy with him and so we let him go before he completed the job. We hired Ray to complete the job because, from the first time I spoke to him, I could tell that he was very knowledgeable about decks/porches. The previous contractor had done a very poor job. Ray recognized, immediately, all of the mistakes that had been made and did his very best to fix all of the problems. He fortified our deck/porch so that he could install Azek railings. Since he is a certified Azek installer, he knew exactly what needed to be done. He was very precise and very professional. He did a wonderful job installing the railings on a deck that wasn't even level. They look great! Because of all the mistakes the previous contractor had made, it took him much longer than he had originally anticipated and it required more materials than what he had specified on his very detailed bid. But, he did not charge us one penny over his original bid and completed the job in very cold weather right before Christmas so we would have a nice-looking porch on Christmas day. We will definitely use Ray if we have any further projects.

Everything went well: job was done in 2 days, very helpful and willing to find and provide additional information, clean, professional work but best of all, the new deck is beautiful and incredibly sturdy compared to the one replaced.

Everything went much better than I expected. They were prompt, did a great job and cleaned up afterwards. I will definitely use them again.

I am totally pleased with my new deck and the work that Ray and Glen did for me and would recommend their company to anyone. Ray listened to me, discussed with me, suggested changes with me, and was open to changes we decided to make. They discussed over charges and change orders with me when they ran into an unexpected situation, and gave me a fair deal when I added skirting to the estimate. They are both hard workers, showed up on time, and completely cleaned up every day so that I did not have live with a mess and could park my car in the driveway.
