Harley Exteriors did Roofing work for me. They were very helpful, and went the extra mile to give me exactly what I wanted at a price that I was comfortable with paying. The workers are decent, mostly Janet. The work crew was good, and they cleaned up more than I expected when they were done. All-in-all I am a pretty satisfied customer, and I am glad I went through with the roof project.

I love love love my new Windows. I did not love the entire process, but that?s construction for you. The office staff stayed in complete communication with me, and let me know what to expect every step of the way. Even through the delays. The installers were amazing once they finally got on site. I really do love my windows and would go through this experience all over again.

I had windows installed by Harley Exteriors, and my experience was AMAZING. They have handled everything from beginning to end, even a problem with a seal that came up after my windows were put in. The sales man was very polite and helpful, and the installers were so nice and professional. I am very happy that I chose this company for my new windows and I absolutely love them. Thank you Harley Exteriors for a great job. I will be using them in the future if I ever need!!!

Friday, July 15, 2016. Based on the A rating in all five areas on Angie's List, I completed and submitted an online request to get a quote from three area window replacement companies. Harley's Exterior Inc of Bothell called the next morning (Saturday) and came out the same day. The rep met with us for over three hours! It was a very hard sell. She seemed to know her product and insisted that their windows were the best and only type of its kind in the business. The heat lamp and examples seemed too good to believe. I wondered what I might be missing. She claimed the plastic they used would not contract or expand like all others. She started out with a really high price of $24K for 11 windows and one slider. Then she kept telling us that she could discount more every time we mentioned we would need more time to research and consider other bids. She said that the discounts were only good during her visit. This should have been a red flag. She eventually got the 11 windows down to $18 plus tax. We decided to sign a contract for 7 windows for about $10K at that time. She said since she did all her figures on note paper, she would need to come out again when we were ready to replace the other windows. In this day of technology, why not keep the original paperwork or scan it into the system? Rather odd. My husband referred to the experience as dealing with a used car salesman. After thinking about it, we decided we needed to get other bids. The contract allowed the consumer to rescind within 72 hours. I did another check of the online reviews. They were very good from the BBB and several others. YELP was not so good on the marketing online reviews that stated the same hard sell. I wished I had read them earlier. It seemed like others had the same experience verbatim almost. Those practices violate the state’s Consumer Protection Act, the Attorney General’s Office alleged. Harley denied any wrongdoing as part of the settlement, but agreed to restrictions on its marketing tactics. The state’s complaint says Harley’s claims that its windows would save homeowners at least 40 percent on their monthly heating and cooling bills are false and that the company had no reasonable basis to support them. The agency alleged that company representatives said Harley installs windows itself, when the company actually hires subcontractors to handle the installation. The Attorney General’s Office agreed to suspend $25,000 in civil penalties if Harley abides with consumer protection laws in the future. On Monday, July 18th, I called the office and informed them that we would be cancelling the contract and I would be in to sign the cancellation papers that day. When I arrived later in the afternoon, I was presented with the cancellation papers . She said Gina should have given us two copies. I had never seen the paperwork and our signatures had been forged!!! I was shaking due to this false representation. I could not believe it. Rhonda mentioned that she would see that the "right person" was informed about the forgery. Not trusting my emotions to say anything more at that time. I signed the papers and left with my copy. All I wanted to do was to call Angie's List, the BBB and post it our experience online for all to be aware. But wait, there is more! I stopped a couple more places in Bothell for just a few minutes then drove home. As I pulled into my driveway, I see a Harley Exterior van pull up our street and drive around the corner. I decided to stay in my car with my dogs so as to be ready to face the person. The van pulled back around from the cul-de-sac and left our street. I decided to take a canopy to my daughter's house just around the corner. Would you believe it? I pulled up in front of my daughter's house and walked up to the door and what van did I see driving down the street? The same van with Harley Exterior written all over it. It was intimidating and so obvious. It is now Thursday, and I have not had a call from the owner. I cannot believe this is still their marketing plan.

HORRIBLE. These people are total scam artists. I did not due proper research on this company, if I had I would have NEVER allowed them in my home. The high pressure sales tactics were awful!! I should have realized something was off from the first phone call, they asked me if I was married and insisted that my hubby be there for the estimate. (That way I couldn't say that I couldn't order that day because I had to talk to my hubby.) Then they miraculously had a same day appointment. The salesman took 3 hours, wouldn't give us any pricing till he was done with his sales pitch and demo and wouldn't give us a written estimate. He just put some bogus numbers on a yellow pad. He didn't have a brochure for us. We wanted one because he claimed they were the ONLY company that made this type of window. (and of course any other windows were way inferior) He claimed their windows could save us 40% off our energy bills, but only if we replaced ALL our windows with them. He claimed they did their own instillation, but he had no idea HOW they would be installed. (I have found out since, they DON'T do their own instillation.) These lies were the reason they were written up by the Washington State Attorney General's office in 2010. They haven't changed their sales tactics one iota. We told this guy right off that we were NOT going to place an order with them them that night. We always get more than one estimate. 2 and half hours in, he finally gave us a price of $8,860 to replace 3 window sections (we only had one that really needed replacing, but because their window frames only came in white or almond we had to replace all the windows in our living room or they wouldn't match) We again told the salesman that we wouldn't buy that night. Well, then he tells us they have a brand new customer satisfaction program (started in June) that could save us $1700 if we ordered right now. (I have since found out that this so called program has been offered for a long time, another lie.) Again we said no, but he continued to push and offered us another discount if we put their sign in our yard and wrote a review. Basically paying us for a good review, which now makes me question any of the good reviews they have received. Of course he NEVER said we got the discount for a good review, but the implication was there. So if we played ball with them and ordered right then and there, we could get $2,860 off the original "quote". Needless to say alarm bells were going off for us and we didn't place an order. That made me do more research and I'm glad we didn't get involved with these weasels. From other reviews I have seen the company has great explanations for these sales tactics, one being that they fire bad salesmen. If that is true, why do they still have these sales tactics? Also they obviously are still doing the very things the Attorney General's office went after them for before. Bottom line, DON'T EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

My husband and I would like to thank Harley Exteriors for the great services we received from your company on our windows. It was great from the marketing presentation, the estimate, the measuring, to the crew that did the installation of 11 windows. We are very pleased with all the windows, but especially, the big garden window in our dining room. We have received many compliments from friends on this window and we love it. Overall we feel we made an excellent choice in selecting Harley Exteriors to do the job.

My wife and I would like to thank you for a job well done and for the professionalism exhibited throughout the entire process. From the first time we had heard of Harley Exteriors at the Everett Home Show just over a month ago, all the way throughout the completion of our installation today, your team of professionals have gone above and beyond all expectations. Most specifically we would like to call out the contractors that did the window installations, Rhett and Jason. From the time they arrived to the time they departed, they excelled and represented Harley Exteriors with integrity, commitment and devotion. Part of our project was to remove a bathroom window and close it off completely. While we were expectation to see some water damage (due to the window being in the shower) we did not expect the amount that was actually three, not to mention the large nest of ants. Rhett and Jason worked extra hours to clean up the mess, waited extra time while our exterminator came and treated, then finished up the job. The whole time they treated my wife and I with complete respect. Thank you again for providing an experience that is truly worthy of recommendation.

Good. Then confusing. Bad. Upsetting. Awful. Dirty. But nice looking-mostly. If we were not around as much as during construction as we were they would have put on the wrong shingles, twice. And they would have just replaced the shingles and not the wood underneath as they agreed to in the contract. Poor communication within the company; often blaming each other and Alan (sales Manager?) stated that they fired a person (Nate) who he said gave us wrong information - they did not fire him. In fact he showed up to take pictures of it post completion. Preformed work that was NOT in the contract, incorrectly on the structure/ support of our roof, and then threatened to place a lien on our house if we did not pay for it. The roofing crew ripped our gutter off our house over our entrance and then Harley offered not to fix it out of their pocket- but out of ours for $800. We feel that they are completely responsible for replacing the gutter. We still have no gutter, they also shattered our front lamp, and who knows how the alteration to the structure of our roof will hold up over time. But -please buy from them so they will remain in business -so we will have our double life time warranty. I read the reviews and what I have come to realize is that they are known for their windows- not roofing. Hopefully they will tend to these issues within their company as it is embarrassing to have such an awful story to tell about a business we researched and felt confident about. I wish I could hire them again and have a different experience.

Was a fabulous experience from start to finish. Quote was accurate and work was completed in a timely manner. Everyone I worked with were thorough and able to answer any concerns or questions I may have had.

The Harley Exteriors roofing team did a great job putting a new roof on our home. We knew it would be a big job replacing cedar shake with composite shingles, but they brought a good sized crew. They tore the old roof off in one day and finished the entire roof in three days. The fit and finish is very good - truly a great improvement and a quality product.

See above. Company didn't show for appointment for sales bid. Can't do business if they don't show up. I will use another company.

HARLEY EXTERIOR is a wonderful Company to do business with. They proved to be very professional, timely and most important.......they 'say what they do' and 'do what they say'. The design of their product is just excellent compared to some of the other window companies when comparing there product and reviews from there competitive brands. I could not be more pleased with the windows in my home which are very insulated from outdoor ambient noise not to mention the energy savings with my older home is immediately noticed as my furnace is not cycling on and off as often as before the installation. The design of these windows, in regards to security, was also one of the main components helping make my final decision. There windows are really heavy duty tamper resistant design with very good quality glass making potential 'unlawful entry' latterly a non-issue. I have never felt so warm safe and comfortable in my home.

Got another estimate from local warehouse store. Wow, what a different story! The entire window assembly did not need to be replaced, just the center section, which could be replaced by itself, not the entire unit, which included 2 side windows which opened. This is a living room OXO horizontal window, meaning the larger center window is stationary, and the 2 side windows with screens opens horizontally. The side windows are fine. A written quote, which you can find on their website, was $354.10 for the center window section, and approximately, $500 for the install, (this is all vinyl clad installed in 1996). What can I say? It pays to shop around, even a little. No need to replace entire window unit! I saved about $3,500 at least, simply searching on my own. Sorry Angie, this time shopping on your own pays off.

This sales person held me hostage, so I felt, for over 3 hours. I repeatedly told him to get to the price, I've heard this stuff before; show me the product and the price. No. My dinner sat COLD. He continued on with his relentless sales pitch. I could careless about your comparison to another company's product, show me YOUR product, sell me on YOUR product. No, he goes on and on. He tries telling me how he's going to save me X money on energy costs - IMPOSSIBLE. My energy costs are extremely low - approx. $150/mo or LESS all year long! I don't turn on the heat or A/C in the rooms where the windows were to be replaced. Anyway, I get the chicken scratch on the yellow note pad. A quote for almost 10K - uh, NO - I've had a comparable company come out and including 2 sliding glass doors, they came in at that price - they even had better quality screens as this sales rep showed me no sample. Then, magically, $700 came off the price. Now, I get one price that good throughout the year, then another price that's good for 30 days and then another $2025 magically comes off if I sign today - WA legally have 3 business days to cancel. I wanted this guy out of my house, seriously! An f'ing window and labor doesn't magically have multiple prices. The final price is still a f'ng insult. It's all padding for the sale commission. I'm starting to believe there is no reputable window company who can legitimately state you 120 liner window costs X, not X, Y or Z. Where's the fax machine? I can't seriously give this business my money!

They got my contact information from something I filled out at the Women's Show. I started getting calls on my cell during the work day from a Bothell, WA number - multiple times per day. I have to have my ringer off at work and since I didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer the calls. Nobody left a voicemail. Finally, after several days of this, I stepped away from my desk and answered the call. It was from Harley Exteriors wanting to set up a time to check out my home and give me an estimate on windows. I told the woman that I wasn't sure I was interested at this time, but that I was at work and couldn't talk. I asked to have somebody call me after 6 pm. She said they would. Instead, they continued to phone stalk me on my cell during the work day. Finally, I answered and reminded them that they couldn't call me during the work day and that I needed to be contacted after 6 pm. She said her notes reflected that request and somebody would call me after 6 pm. Nobody did - the calls kept coming during the day almost daily. I finally told them to take my name off their list and stop calling me. I will not even consider hiring a contractor with this lack of professionalism.

We were contacted by Sasha who was very concerned about our review and asked what their company could do better in the future. I told her about our experience with their salesman Nathan who came to our house and gave us a quote. Sasha told me that soon after Nathan came to our house, he was let go because of his questionable sales tactics. Sasha assured me that their company in no way does business like this and that she feels bad that one of their salesman made them look bad. I had a long conversation over the phone with Sasha and she told me she is very sorry for the bad experience we had. I believe that Harley Exteriors if a very good company with quality products, but just had one bad apple which made them look bad. I give the company credit that they immediately recognized a problem with the salesman and let him go. This shows that Harley Exteriors prides themselves on customer relations. I would now recommend this company to other potential customers due to the fact they recognized a problem and took immediate action.

They replaced all our windows. We liked the salesman that told us about the windows, he was polite and not pushy. They were very clean and there was no mess. The work was pretty much hassle free.

I received a thorough bid with a full explanation of what would be done. Although the initial timeline for completion was pushed-back due to manufacturing delays, the installation was performed extremely efficiently. The crew were polite, knowledgeable, and answered questions readily. The room is much warmer, quieter, and I am very happy with the performance of the window thus far.

They finally came out & installed the doors, & they look really good. It just took too long.

Harley Exteriors provided me with great examples of their products so I was able to feel confident in my choice of their product.Even though the price was fairly high for me Harley's salesman assured me that I was paying for a quality product. He also helped me establish finance to help me cover the cost. When the installers arrived to put in my door they were very professional. They made sure that on removing the old door there was no damage done to any part of the siding or frame of the door opening. They heard my concerns about previous trouble with water damage and made sure that the door opening was well prepped and that when the door was in place they made sure it was well sealed and weather tight. When then the installers were finished with the install of my Sliding Glass door they made sure that my patio was completely clean of any left over supplies or trash leaving my house inside and outside completely clean. I have been very pleased with everyone that I have come in contact with at Harley Exteriors, and I would have no hesitation in referring this company to anyone who would ask me about them. It is hard to find companies these days that you can trust. I feel that Harley Exteriors is one of these companies that you can trust.

We were looking to replace 10 windows and a slider. I was originally going to get a couple of bids, but Grady sold me on the quality of their windows. I felt that the price was reasonable and decided to go with Harley Exteriors. The installers were on time, courteous and totally cleaned up the area after they were done. The front office staff, sales staff and installers made this whole process go smoothly. We are extremely pleased with the look of the windows and their efficiency. We live by the airport and were looking for new windows to cut the noise, as well as hold in the heat. Super happy that we used Harley Exteriors!! .

I am very happy with the results of my recent home remodel. I purchased the house back in December and had been battling the drafts and the mold issues on the windows since I moves in. I learned of Harley Exteriors at the WA state fair. They came in and gave us a very informative and in-depth presentation of their windows, as well as the windows offered by other companies in the area. I was sold 100% on their signature "Olympic Series" so I set up a date to have them installed. Their install team was very polite, quiet, clean, and fast. They got the job done in less than 16 hours (Over the course of 2 days). They made sure to get the job done right, even going out of their way to repair parts of the wood around the framing before installing the new windows. In all, I am very satisfied with my experience with Harley Exteriors and will be using/recommending them in the future.

Grady who came to our house and gave us all the information that we needed and having a sample of the windows to shows us was amazing. Grady was so professional and he was able to answer all of our questions. We were honest with Grady and let him know that we also had someone else coming out to give us a price. The product and how he explained it to us and we were convinced that HARLEY EXTERIORS INC, was the company that we needed to go with. Grady was patient and pleasant. He worked with us until we found what we liked and then worked with us to get the best price. Rhett Schmidt was the installer, they were professional and very kind. They arrived on time and did a fabulous job installing the windows. Installation was perfect. When my wife got home home from work, the new windows were in and you would never have known anyone was even there that day. The work area was absolutely clean. We love how the new windows really changed the look of our home. With our old windows, the house would be so cold and sometime it felt like a breeze was coming through the old ones. We can tell the difference in the rooms that the windows were replace in. I look forward to a warmer house this winter as well.
