Description of Work: Fast Water Heater Co. replaced the water heater.

Description of Work: install water heater/ replace 2 times, attempt to fix 4-5 times. Finally they figured out that there unit was not getting enough gas. Should have had the spec's for their water heater in the beginning.

Description of Work: Fast water heater was very professional. I could tell their intention was to eliminate any snags up front over the phone so that the install would be smooth and have no surprised. I called and they had me walk through the area my current water heater is installed with a tape measure. They ask for the serial number on the water tank and could tell the exact size of my current tank based on the serial number. They then ask me to measure different spaces around the water heater and describe the length of the conduit and water supply going to the tank. It was actually an accident that I found out that Fast Water heater planned on keeping my rebate. Once I expressed my excitement of getting such a great deal, the installer clarified that Fast Water heater company would be processing and keeping the rebate. He then explained that the water heater price is $1,700 and that it came with a stainless steel life time tank, a ten year warranty on parts and that it heated water on heat pump mode all the way down to 30 degrees F. I told him that it sounds like a great deal, but that I do not NEED to replace my water heater now and I am only doing so because I thought the offer was such a steal. I explained that with Fast Water Heater Company keeping the $800 rebate from PSE, that I would rather wait for the replacement. The installer understood and ask me to call Angie's List for a refund of the coupon. The refund process has been hassle free. Just validation of my information and a quick form to make sure the rebate is legitimate. I enjoy working with companies who's policies and practices express good intention. I would say my experience with Angie's List and Fast Water Heater Company were both. I would suggest that whoever approved the language of the coupon however would be invited to reconsider the language they choose on future offers.

Description of Work: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! My water heater failed last week over New Years and this was the company that could get out to me quickly and they also had the lowest (phone) estimate by about $50. Ok so they said that the total cost for a new heater install would be $695 with a $75 Angies List discount. When the installer Dale arrived at my home I got a call soon thereafter in which he prattled off roughly 20 things that he would need to do to bring the install "up to code." I was informed that the job would actually cost over $2000!! Dale said he would need to do all those prep things in order to do the install or my other choice was to have him install a Noritz tankless water heater, which would also be over $2000. He said he would be able to do the install of the Noritz the next day and that the office manager Abby would call me to schedule a time. After I stopped panicking I decided to take the time to get a second opinion. Abby did call within 5 minutes, not suprising since I'm sure they were biting at the bit to get an extra 1300 or so off the duped customer. I called George Morlan and told them I needed a second opinion and that I had a guy saying he needed to do thousands of dollars worth of work (such as drywall and pour concrete) in order to do a simple water heater install. The most hilarious part of Dale's quote was that he wanted no less than $450 to pour a tiny patch of concrete. Like the size of the base of a 40 gallon water heater tiny! The woman said she could get someone here the next day and to her it sounded like hogwash because it's right in the state code that if there is a heater installed it could be installed the same exact way. Ok so to make a long story short the nicest guy came out from George Morlan and I didn't mention anything about Dale; I wanted to see if he even mentioned a thing about it being a difficult or unnusual job. He didn't!!! He had absolutely no trouble and was done in the two hours they gave him to install it. The total cost was $749 and it was permitted and everything is kosher! It has the permit sticker right on it!! Moral of the story is don't be fooled by their lowest price phone quote because I assure you this company will not think twice about stealing from unwitting customers!!! The trick their using is to give a low phone estimate for a standard water heater and then telling customers that there is something unusual about the space, or that a tankless model would be a better fit for the home. Because it's more expensive!

Description of Work: They installed a water heater that broke three weeks later. One of the coils was burnt out and they blamed us for breaking it. If our contractor had not been standing right there to see the water heater spill out, we would have had another flood. My husband finally had to talk to their boss to get the heating coil replaced. They eventually put in a new one, but so far it has been working.

Description of Work: This company is the real deal!!My GAS water heater died, so I called at least 8 companies; ALL of which quoted me $900-1200 + tax with 6yr warranty. In fact one company on Angies List gave me what I thought was a reasonable quote for a gas htr of $775+tax, so I had them come out. When they arrived, they said "OH, it's gas! No no we will have to come back w/a gas heater and it will be $900-1000 + tax! So, I finally got a hold of FAST and they quoted me $749 + tax minus a $75 AL discount and it was for GAS!!! I saved hundreds of dollars AND they were professional, emailed me a confirmation & their service policy, they were punctual and gave me great service!! I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: This company replaced our 10+ year old water heater with a larger one which contributed to the price, Every thing went very well. I should have shopped around a little on price just to compare but I needed fast service and they provided it. Plus, both the office staff, and the installer were very knowledgeable, so I felt comfortable with the porcess. The installer actually called the next day to make sure that every thing was going ok.

Description of Work: We replaced our old water heater, which was about 9 years old. They were very good in terms of providing information. Their estimation process is very flexible as well. They bring a couple of different water heaters and give a more accurate estimate on site. If you choose not to get the job done, they take it back. We had the job done. The service was good. We had to bring ours up to code which raised the cost steeply. I suspect that their service is good but they might be a little pricey. Overall we had a good experience.
