All Star Carpet Cleaning

After talking personally with the owner of the service we used I understand where the final pricing came from. I would have hired them again, regardless, but the fact that he took the time to call me personally and was concerned about my satisfaction set him apart from other service providers.

Showed up on time. Was careful to protect adjacent areas of floor, as well as walls and doorways. Cleaned up after job was done. Gave us a package price and a discount. Courteous, professional, excellent quality of work, friendly.

Easy to schedule, good response time, punctual arrival. We had had the same tenants in this condo for 3 years - they left without notice, and owing three months rent, and left the carpets very dirty. Dave wasn't sure he could get them clean, and told me the enzyme treatment was expensive - gave me the quote before he started work, and I decided to give it a try. In fact, that enzyme treatment was pretty amazing, and lifted the stains right out. I was really pleased with the results because I thought perhaps I was going to have to replace the carpeting, especially in the living room where it was particularly filthy. Dave was friendly and efficient. My daughter needs to get her carpets cleaned and I have suggested that she call him.

Everything was okay. They did what I asked them to do. They were responsive. The first time they showed up, the equipment wasn’t working so they had to come back.

They were very personable people. I'm not so sure if they were the very best carpet cleaners that we've had. They did okay. There are still a few little spots. I would probably not refer them to a friend or family member.

Overall, the service was good but when i asked about their 8 area package and explained my house, the response said that i probably was between the 5 and 8 area "deals" but when the technician came out, I ended up with 9 areas plus the stairs so it was a bit more expensive than I thought it would be. That said, they did a good job of cleaning the carpets, I just wish i would have gotten an evaluation of the areas before the day of service...lesson learned.

Just called All-Star Carpet Cleaning about cleaning the carpets in our Capitol Hill townhome. Fortunately I didn't buy the $99 deal before calling them first. They just told me that they can't get their van around the streets of Capitol Hill and therefore won't service any homes here. Just letting everyone know not to bother contacting these guys if you live on Capitol Hill!

All Star Carpet Cleaning did an excellent job deep-cleaning our carpets. Before, I thought just renting a steam cleaner would do the trick, but I realize now that a professional cleaning is definitely worth it. We had a bathroom renovation recently done, and we wanted to make sure that any residual dust/stains were cleaned up before we invited guests over. All Star Carpet has great reviews here, so I gave them a shot. They are definitely worth it. We hadn't professionally cleaned our carpets in a decade and it showed. The owner showed up and explained very clearly what he could and could not do. So from the start he gave us a realistic set of expectations. Surprisingly, he was able to get out a lot of the stuff he suspected he could not. So the carpet looks and smells brand new. For the deep cleaning we asked for it was expensive, but we feel it was worth it because the carpets have never looked better, and the accumulated 10-year traffic from kids/guests is for the most part cleaned out. They don't move heavy furniture around, so they will only vacuum what they can physically access. I was also pleased with the service and attitude. Just be warned that they do get busy, so I would definitely call ahead. And definitely call them because you will have a better chance of squeezing an appointment in versus email or messaging them through Angie's List.

Purchased a Big Deal for three areas of carpet cleaning. I planned on having two large area rugs cleaned and a bedroom. When the guy arrived, I was told that the deal didn't cover area rugs (not specified on the deal) and also that I would need pre-clean any animal hair (I have dogs) from the bedroom rugs before he could do his cleaning. I opted to cancel the service and get a refund for the deal.

I thought Dave was outstanding. He was punctual and very friendly. He made note of stains, (we have an aging dog with kidney problems) and told us he would do his best. He mentioned the products he would use were green and non toxic. I paid extra for the deodorizing treatment and it helped a lot. The colors of the rugs look much brighter. He was quick and efficient. He was courteous and made sure that he was careful about what he was doing. He seemed so eager to please and told me that he loves to get a new customer. I could tell that he took pride in his work, and he did a really good job! I would recommend him highly and definitely use this company again. His sweet mother answers the phone and has a lovely voice and made me feel right away that she cared also. I love supporting small family businesses.

We were very pleased with their window cleaning. I had purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for $149, and knew that there would be additional charges because it's a split entry house that has several high angle windows plus a skylight. The additional charges were explained upfront so there were no surprises. Most of the windows have screens which were removed and replaced without a problem. I would definitely recommend them and plan on using Clear N' Bright for future window cleaning.

All Star Carpet Cleaning responded promptly after we purchased the deal, and we scheduled a date to have our carpet cleaned. The day before Dave called to verify the appointment. Then on the day of service he called to ask if he could arrive a bit earlier. He arrived exactly on time and got to work. Together we defined the areas to be cleaned. He worked efficiently and did a wonderful job. Our carpets are clean and look like new! Dave was very pleasant and professional.

He did a fine job and I would recommend him.

I was very pleased with the service. My carpets looked so much better and even though there were a few spots in my old place...I still got all of my deposit back!

The service was very good. We had a little bit of a mix-up with the appointment time, but they made it right and they came out and did a great job. We're really pleased with how well the carpet came out. They gave us a complimentary service for the mix-up. That was great too. It was a quite stained carpet and they got almost all the stains out. We have three kids and three dogs and they got everything out.

Came out and cleaned everything. The house was move in ready and the smell of carpet was much better.

This was a real disappointment. When I called them, they specifically told me that they did not move bedroom furniture. We moved most of the furniture out of the four rooms, and we expected, as other companies have in the past, that they would move end tables, etc., and put them back with foam blocks or water resistant cups under the legs. When the man came (and he is the owner), the first thing he said was "This room counts as two rooms." We told him we would help him move tables out of the way and then put them back with protection on the legs for wet carpets. He said, "We don't move furniture." He also said they had no foam blocks or furniture leg protectors. We told him that we couldn't use his service then, and he left. When my husband called the company to complain, the lady said she had not told me that the only furniture they don't move is bedroom furniture. She said we could have put baggies under the legs if we wanted. She said they never move any furniture and haven't in 20 years. I have had many companies clean my carpets over the years, and they all move the little light-weight things and put them back with protection for the carpets and the legs. We contacted a different company (Alpine Specialty Cleaning) that we have used before. They scheduled us for first thing tomorrow morning, and said that, of course, they moved small furniture and protected the legs and carpets afterwards. I don't understand how All Star stays in business.

The method they used wasn't sufficient. But they were on time and nice.

Great - Dave was on time, offered great advice on stains that have been troublesome for a while and very personable and professional. Would definitely use his services again!

We bought a foreclosed house that had been vacant for two years -- except squatters. In the meantime the squatters had tracked mud, leaves and all kinds of other stuff onto the carpet throughout the house. We didn't have much hope many of the rooms could be salvaged but wanted it cleaned in the meantime to see what could be saved and make sanitary in the meantime. Dave came through and gave an estimate and did not make many guarantees on the worst rooms. He came on time, and the first thing he did was lower his cost a bit. He and Jason spent 8 hours the first day and another couple hours the next day double scrubbing each room. When they were done I was shocked how good it looked. Many of the rooms looked like brand new carpet, most of the worst came out and looked great. The work saved us thousands of dollars in new carpet. Dave's price at the end of the job was exactly what he estimated. This was excellent service and work, highly recommend! Wish I could post before/after pics

He is on your list and he is one of the high ones. He came out and did a fantastic job. I was happy with the price. He was prompt, professional and did an excellent job of making sure the carpets where deodorized. Now that is a guy I wouldn't mind having clean my house. It is like you can walk away and know that, when he is done, he's done the best possible job he can do for your house. He also had a Big Deal. He made me happy that I got my money's worth.

David was wonderful! Very cheerful and professional and didn't make me feel "bad" that my carpets were so dirty :) He pre-treated with enzymes because I have pets and the amount of "yuck" that came out when he cleaned was shocking. I had no idea how filthy my carpets were! I will be calling All Star Carpet Cleaning every 6 months from now on!
