All Star Carpet Cleaning

Not well. Purchased an Angie's List coupon for 149.95 for cleaning the carpets of 5 rooms. Before All Star arrived we removed all the furniture and thoroughly vacuumed every inch of the carpet. We have light colored carpets that are approximately 10 years old. We have kept them in pretty good condition considering we have pets and children. Other companies we have hired to clean our carpets have all remarked that the carpets look good...before they even start. As did the All Star employee. So being that the carpets are past their prime we had lowered our expectations for perfection. As a help to the potential cleaners we always mark the stains on our carpets that need special attention with blue painter's tape. We did this for our service from All Star as well. There were approximately 8 stains. So when Dave arrived, on time, we showed him the rooms to be cleaned and pointed out the areas that needed a little bit of special attention. Unfortunately we were talked into an up sell of "enzyme treatment" for an additional 150.00 plus 30.00 extra for the stairs. Dave started work at 10:00 and was finished just before 11:00. It takes me longer to vacuum those areas then it did for him to "clean" them. So he started the "cleaning" process by going out to the truck and came back in with a hand pump sprayer and used it on the painter's tape spot areas. This took less than 3 minutes and for this we paid 150.00 extra. Shame on us for being suckered into this up sell. It felt similar to the story of "The Emperor's New Clothes" ...you know the one where people are tricked into thinking the Emperor has special clothes on when in actuality he does not?Thus we were told those marked areas were getting special attention with the "enzyme treatment" that we paid extra for. We had pointed out the edge of our landing on the stairs to Dave. I wanted him to pay extra attention to it because it gets dirty from our dog rubbing his chin on it and I was certain it would come clean if hit with the proper cleaning technique. He said he would get it. So when he was done and had been paid, he asked us if everything looked ok. We did a quick surveillance of the carpets and said yes they were fine but failed to see the spots that were missed until Dave was in his truck and on his merry way. The landing edge was still dirty in fact when I ran a white washcloth over it I was able to remove dirt and the cloth was no longer white it was a latte colored brown. Not to mention that the landing looked like he had not cleaned it at all. There was several stains that were larger than a half dollar that were there after he had left. They had been marked with the painter's tape. I took my cloth and was able to remove them easily. So therefore we are certain not much effort was put into cleaning the stairs. The hall closet had all the shoes removed and had been vacuumed before he arrived. We asked that the small carpet in this entryway closet be cleaned. He said yes. He looked in there while cleaning and said "Oh yeah... I see someone had an accident in here." Unfortunately if you leave the closet door open one of our cats will go in there and throw up. When we looked in the closet after Dave had left we saw that the stain had not been touched at all...not even attempted to be cleaned. Again I broke out my "Kids n Pets" cleaner and my cloth and was able to remove that stain as well...all though it was a bit difficult because my eyes were filled with tears because I was so upset at the job that had been done. Our expectations were not to have perfect new looking carpets after being cleaned but to at least feel like they had been "cleaned"! Alas this tale does not have a happy ending...we feel tricked into thinking that our carpets had been cleaned when in actuality they had not been cleaned very well and in some spots not at all. So we will not be using this company again nor can we recommend them to family and friends. The End.

All Star Carpet Cleaning did an outstanding job. Their customer service with their quality of work was exceptional , as well as the price. And the speed of time was perfect!

The service went fine. I had used the company in the past. They did exactly what I expected. The staff came on time and did a good job. The rugs are older so it is hard to bring them back to their original look, but they did a nice job. I paid an additional fee to clean some more floor space for our larger home. One technician came out and was an efficient worker. He was also very professional and good nature. They were very accommodating and flexible with our schedules. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

god- stairs were just ok but overall good job. Price very good and they were very pleasant

It was excellent. They were able to get up some old stains that I thought would never come out.

Kudos for being able to squeeze in this job on very short notice. Overall they were quick, nice to deal with, and did a pretty good job. Looking back here a few months later, though, the carpets have largely returned to the way they looked before. I haven't had them cleaned before, and I suspect this is just the way it goes with all carpet cleaning -- the cleaner residue left behind tends to quickly reattract dirt, so no blame to All Star here. I may try one of the "dry" services next time for comparison.

He was very nice although there were couple of spots that he didn't get out. I think I will use him again for my furniture. He was well priced and he did nice care. I like him. I would recommend him but I would show him the spots if he could get them out first. I never had that part of my rug cleaned before so it could have get in there too long.

They did an ok job. The carpet is old and will be replaced soon, but needed a cleaning before guests stayed. It looked ok when dry. There were plenty of spots left that I had to manually scrub out. Which wasn't what I wanted to be left with. However, they aren't any worse than any others; they just weren't any better. On the plus side, the cleaner worked hard and continuously during the entire job. He was polite and professional. The cleaning was done at the end of a very hot day in my nonairconditioned house. Kudos to him! Overall I rate this company as better than average.

Excellent and thorough work. Easy to work with, answered questions, gave helpful ideas for carpet care and careful to not let our pets out while he worked. Will definitely use them again.

He showed up on time. Came in and talked about what was to be done. He went out to get the equipment and started work. He sprayed the sanitizer on the carpet twice to remove the dog smell and the rooms smelled great by the time he was through and left.

All Star Carpet Cleaning had a hard time finding my house at first in spite of my offering to provide directions when I contacted them at first. When they got there they were efficient about getting the job done. I bought an Angie's List deal and was somewhat disappointed that it didn't cover as much of my house as I had hoped based on the description of the deal. The total price overall was fairly competitive, so despite my disappointment the price was okay. The cleaning service was as advertised and as I expected.

It was fine. They did a very nice job. They did what I thought they would. They were at the home for about 3 hours since the house was larger than the big deal specs. The cost was reasonable, however. They sent one tech who was very helpful and polite.

I would definitely contract with this company again. A nice Angie's List Special. The technician arrived early on the date of service and was professionally attired and appeared to have quality cleaning equipment. He was able to clean the entire carpet with the exception of a couple of deep stains. I was very satisfied with the work, and glad I used Angie's List!

After a scheduling misunderstanding, provider came out after hours since our furniture was stacked on the front porch. The young service man was courteous, polite and careful around our belongings. He did a good job for us at a reasonable price.

They did a wonderful job. The young man didn't try to add in a bunch of extras which we very much appreciated.

Again, since we did not use this company for carpet cleaning, I can't give an indication but the service level we received even though they knew we would no longer be a client due to the type of carpets we want to have cleaned was exceptional. So I am giving the firm a high rating for client service and assume that if the actual cleaning service they provide is as good as they pre-cleaning service, we would have been satisfied with All Star Carpet Cleaning. Finally, by telling us they were not the cleaning service for us, they prevented us from making a costly mistake. I would recommend the company on the customer service along. Mary Vollert

Went great, very knowledgable did a great job.

This was a move out clean and the job was great. On time, very professional, great results, reasonable price. Would highly recommend.

They did a good job. They did the carpet cleaning in 2 bedrooms, a hallway, my living room, entry way and a sitting area. Just one employee came out and it didn’t take him very long; about an hour and a half. He was very nice and sweet. Some companies put on the protectant and I knew that was an additional charge. They carpet cleaning was done well, but the cleaning from the carpets didn’t last very long.

They were very punctuate. Staff came on time and did a thorough job in cleaning 7 rooms. Stairs is counted as one room. The result is very good. Some of my carpets have stains/spots and after their work it was clean again. They even left some cleaners so that we can clean one carpet by ourselves. Overall I'm very happy with the experience. They are very professional and their service is awesome.

He was a nice young man who was very prompt and professional. He called me into the room to see the difference in cleanliness!

Vacuuming was not thorough, also not thorough carpet cleaning. Price was just Ok since he offered some discount, but overall work quality not in good impression.
