He was really great. He brought me samples at least 2 or 3 times till I could find something that I liked. I wanted something that was natural and eco friendly. He had some more options. I did not have a big budget. So he spent a lot of time helping me find something that I liked and suited my budget. He gave me a price rate. I was talking to a couple of other different companies and he tried to come down to match what the other companies were offering. He was very accommodating with my schedule. He was quick and did a very nice job. It costed me $4000 for the carpet, the installation and the pad that goes under the carpet.

Andy?s crew arrived on time in the morning and finished the work by mid-afternoon. The workmanship of the two-man crew was excellent and the installation was faultless in all respects! We would not hesitate in having Andy and his crew do another job for us.

The 2 men arrived on time and began working immediately. The senior installer did the stairs and hallway which were trickier. He took his time and was methodical. The results were excellent.

From the very beginning this company was very responsive even though their offices are 50 miles from our home. We contacted Andy on a Saturday and made an appointment for the next business day. to give us a free estimate. He actually arrived a bit early. We had done extensive research on carpet purchasing and found his presentation very transparent, no hidden agendas or concealed facts... he seemed more like a consultant than a salesman. This was especially obvious when compared with 3 other sales people who had come to give us estimates. Andy has a long history in the carpet business, having worked both at the wholesale and consumer levels.His knowledge was invaluable in helping us make the right selection for our home. Apples for apples comparisons are difficult when it comes to carpet, since the mills provide different lables for the same product to nearly every retailer. Andy let us know the technical specs on the carpet so that we could make a valid price comparison on each element of the purchase: padding, furniture moving, carpet. Andy's bid was not the lowest. We selected his because he was the most knowledgable and we felt confident that, as a small business owner, he would stand behind his work. As it happened, Andy was scheduled for a vacation during the week that we were making our final decision, so he left us with Eric to finish the deal. We had requested Andy to send us a larger sample of the carpet that we had selected. This arrived in 3 days from the mill. Upon receiving the sample, we had doubts about the color and requested Eric to send us some other lighter shades. Again the response was extremely quick. This time we received three more samples within 2 days. It turned out that we stayed with the original color anyway, but it was very helpful to have the 4 to compare. By contrast, a large national seller had promised us a sample 2 weeks earlier. It finally arrived 2 days after we had already made the decision to go with 5 star. Interestingly, the sample we received from this late comer was the same as the one we selected from 5 star. Their price for the job was about 12% higher than Andy's. Once our decision had been made, Eric moved quickly. The carpet was ordered on a Wednesday and was here and ready early the following week. We scheduled the installation crew for Thursday of that week. The job was to take two days. The 2 man crew arrived around 9am on each of the two days. We have seldom seen tradesmen work as diligently as these two. They did the whole thing in about 14 hours with short lunch breaks. When it came to moving furniture, all sellers said that they would not move electronics (computers, tv's, stereos, etc.). These guys were happy to assist in moving a very heavy tv. In addition, we had several squeaky floor boards. At our request, they used a screw gun to eliminate the squeaks. The only criticism we have is that they did not use a power stretcher. Perhaps this is not necessary. Time will tell.

George came out to give us an estimate and was the only estimator that observed that installing an additional layer of sub flooring as other bidders suggested would cause a problem with interference on the bottoms of the doors into the kitchen, particularly the door to the outside which had integral metal weather stripping. All three quotes we obtained were within 5% of each other. His crew removed the top layer of sub flooring, re-attached the base layer of sub flooring with screws. They pointed out areas where the original sub flooring was improperly supported. They installed better grade sub flooring than the original, and were able to eliminate all floor squeaks. They covered the cupboard floor under the sink and under the dishwasher at no additional charge, even though it wasn't in the original estimate. Only one seam was needed and that was in the broom closet doorway.

They provided very good quality of service and their price was very reasonable. I found them on Angie's List.

First rate. Made an appointment to see them and pick a carpet for the closet. I figured a remnant would be the way to go and Eric agreed. I picked out a remnant and agreed on a price, then selected a vinyl and agreed on a total price for both. Later Eric called to tell me that remnant (unknown to him) had already been sold. I figured I'd have to go hunting again for carpet, but the next day George called and said they had another remnant that would fit my needs--same price. I stopped by and approved the carpet (very nice quality) and set up an installation date. The installers arrived as planned and did a fine installation, including cleaning up. I am so pleased with the new floors. Everything worked out even better than planned.

Suggested that I should not purchase higher priced carpet as I had little control over damage to flooring in the apartment.

After finding 5 Star Flooring on Angie?s list, we requested bid from them for carpeting our home. George measured owed us the type of samples we requested. We had some difficulty deciding what carpeting we wanted and George was very patient. He brought us samples several times and revised the 5 Star Flooring bid as we changed our minds. At the time of our final decision the 5 Star Flooring was very completive and we selected their services. There were no problems getting installation at times that worked for us. Their installers Harry and Chris were thoughtful, professional, and did an excellent job. They even helped us by moving a heavy TV set downstairs. 5 Star had under estimated the square yards of carpeting required for uor house but they didn?t try to increase our cost. They did everything that we had agreed to with absolutely no problems.

They did an excellent job, from start to finish. The person who gave the estimate arrived promptly. He followed his verbal estimate with an e-mailed estimate and then a U.S.mailed estimate. I selected this company. The scheduler brought brochures and then samples to help me select the flooring. There was no "push" to choose the product recommended. I chose a product, and within hours they had the materials and were ready to go. The workers arrived promptly and were respectful and efficient. They worked hard all day until the job was completed. They left no mess and no garbage. By the end of the day, I had beautiful new floors!

It went very well. The laminate flooring took longer than scheduled but the quality was excellent so I didn't mind. The closet doors in the upstairs hallway had to be shaved off on the bottom so the doors would slide easily and the carpet installer came back 2 days later to do that. The salesman was very responsive and helpful. He spent a lot of time getting me samples and bringing them to me so I could decide.

We are extremely satisfied with the work done by 5 Star Flooring. The carpeting looks fantastic. The job was done quickly and well. The installer and the estimator was friendly. I called them on a Friday, by the next Thursday my carpet had been replaced. They really hustled with the job. 5 Star Flooring rocked my world! They wanted to satisfy me.

We went into this not sure what we wanted and they were very easy to work with and were not at all pushy. They were wonderful and very patient through a number of delays, on our part not theirs. It was very refreshing to find a company that really went out of their way to accommodate us. Since the key to long term success is good service, they'll be around for a long time. The end result is that we now have beautiful carpet.

Very well. Eric (sales person) was professional and knowledgeable. He came to the house twice, the second time with a number of carpet samples in tow, so we had many good choices. Mike and his sons installed the carpet and did a great job. He was especially adept at cutting and gluing old and new carpet together in the doorways to each room. It looks most professional.

Andy came out to provide an estimate - did so without requesting a fee for it. He was able to offer a carpet that met my rental needs at a better price than I expected. He recognized the quality of the current carpet padding and suggested we keep it and reduce costs. The carpet was installed a few days after placing the order. The installers were very good and got the job done in less time than expected.

5 STAR FLOORING INC sold to us and installed all the carpetting for our master bedroom, the hall way, and stairs. Andy Anderson was excellent. He came to our house and showed us different carpet types. He thouroughly described the qualities of each carpet choice. The price was excellent and we are very happy with the installation of the carpet.

We were on a tight time frame and Eric, our contact at 5 Star Flooring, was helpful in getting this carpet installed quickly. The job went reasonably well, but unfortunately the door to the bedroom drags on the carpet. The recommendation by the installer was to see if it's still dragging in 2-3 months, and if it is, have the door shaved. I think a competent carpet sales person (in this case, Eric) should have been able to look at our existing door and recommend a carpet that wouldn't interfere. It was a hassle to wait around the following day for the installer to come back and make a decision about cutting our door, or not. I had a difficult time communicating with the installer because he didn't speak a lot of English.

It went very smoothly. They kept in touch with me at all times and avoided any problems.

Eric came to our house to review carpet and brought some samples based on our interests. My requests were that the carpet be stain resistant, since we have a toddler and have both a dog and a cat, and I was told by a contractor friend who also has a toddler, dog, and cat to get padding with a moisture barrier to prevent spills from soaking in. Supposedly the spill stays at the surface and cleans up. Shortly after having the carpet, the toddler got a hold of our coffee and spilled it on the carpet. The spill soaked in immediately. I looked on the internet on how to clean a coffee stain and they suggested ivory soap and water, vinegar in water, and lemon juice. I kept applying and scrubbing and I still have a stain. I asked Eric for some info on how to clean the carpet and he said that he would mail me something. I did get something on how to clean the carpet later, but by that time the stain seemed to have set. I was surprised that with my stain resistant carpet and their top-of-the-line padding that I would have this problem. I also had a problem with the wrong color carpet being installed on the basement stairs. By time I found out, most of the stairs were done. It turned out that the wrong color carpet was wrapped up and labeled wrong by the manufacturer. They had to work out the problem with their vendor. I was promised a date and that date slipped. Now we notice that the lower staircase carpet is not wearing very well. The carpet on the upper stairs looks and feels nice, except for the stain. Eric and Andy are nice people. I think that my needs weren't a good match for what they have to offer.

Andy was wonderful. He asked me what my budget was, and he was able to come in $1500 under our budget, including all the installation. He came out himself to do the estimate and worked with our timing which had changed because we had moved. Andy had a great sense of humor, and had a great staff of installers.

The same day I called for an estimate Eric came over. He brought samples of the mid grade type of carpet I needed. He emailed a written estimate the same day. I made a few changes and each time he sent me another itemized estimate including sales tax. When I finally decided to go with him he made an appointment to have the work done within a few days. The installers were punctual and got the carpet installed and the furniture moved back an hour sooner than estimated. Great service, carpet is perfect.

5 Star Flooring deserves two thumbs up! Andy spent considerable time with us as we picked the appropriate flooring for our challenging space. The installation crew ( Joe and his helper, Dan) provided outstanding service. They arrived on time, worked hard and took great pride in the final product. My husband and I were genuinely impressed by everyone involved with 5 Star Flooring. Andy obviously cares about providing his customers with excellent service and product at a reasonable price. We were so pleased by our experience with 5 Star Flooring that we plan to turn to Andy again when we replace all of our upstairs carpet.

I called 5 Star Flooring after unpleasant experiences with other flooring suppliers. 5 Stars' responsiveness was amazing. Eric came to my house the same morning I called them. He brought samples and took measurements. The estimate was supplied promptly and Eric responded with great patience when I requested several revisions to the estimate. The install was completed as scheduled. The installer (Joe) was very friendly and personable and he did a beautiful job on the installation. The final cost was slightly lower than the original estimate because Joe was able to do the work without replacing the underlayment in the bathroom.

It went great!! With the money I had, I was able to find both carpeting, a pad and vinyl flooring for the kitchenette, so was able to finish the entire basement. The folks were great & easy to deal with, and kept their commitments at all time. They were great to work with, including the installers. The job they did was just wonderful, and I ended up with a great daylight basement!!!!!
