I had room mates arriving soon, and our construction completion was delayed two weeks. 5 Star was right on top of everything. Eric came to the house with samples for three rooms and a hallway the day I called. He had an estimate prepared the next morning, I paid the deposit, and the carpet was ordered from the mill that day. The installers arrived promptly on installation day and did a fabulous job. (The carpet in the two larger rooms was power-stretched in, which is the proper way--not every installer does that.) Very pleased!

* * * * * FIVE STARS * * * * * Could not ask for a more professional re-carpeting of our home. No issues or problems from beginning of job planning thru to completion and cleanup. Andy was very responsive to all our questions explaining everything that was asked. Again we used a local family owned company and we are 100% pleased with the outcome.

Andy and the installers are extremely friendly and professional. they went out of there way to put in a rush order for me and made many accomadations along the way. They are very good!

5 Star came out the same day we called. I had a few corrections with the bid when it came in the next day. By then I also had seen other companies products and asked if I they had something similar. Eric made two more trips to our house to bring more samples. 5 Star was the only bid (of the 3 we had) that itemized what each step costs. I told Eric I wanted to do the whole house but needed to bring down the cost a bit. I agreed I could remove the floor molding and move the appliances before the work day. He brought down the price a bit on the remaining, and we were in business. A great experience. There was one area that I was not satisfied with (in a doorway). Eric had the guys out to fix it very quickly. Everyone is happy - looks great. I know why this company came up on the top of Angies List for my area!

Appreciate that the sales rep guy could come to my home with samples - he didnt bring exactly what I asked for, but he did have a sample that would work for what I needed. He sent estimates quickly, but following up after the estimate was a challenge. I made the installation arrangements but the rep would call before the job to confirm the start time. He never called - I had to call him to check on the start time that morning. The installer was supposed to arrive at 9am but didnt show until 1030am. When I called the rep, he never responded to my message. I called the main number, left a message and got a quick call-back on the scheduling mixup. The installer did a really nice job. Despite the communication problems, 5 Star delivered and both rooms look great.

I contacted 5 Star based on past Angie's List reviews to select a new carpet and pad for my condo. I first called 10 months ago and reached Eric. I worked with him to select carpet and he measured my condo, but I decided not to make the purchase at the time. I finally decided to move forward with the project a few weeks ago. I called Eric back. He easily located his notes and measurements from our prior meeting 10 months ago. Eric quickly got a quote to me and took my credit card number over the phone to commence the order. 5 Star's installers did an efficient and meticulous job with the installation. I highly recommend this company.

Andy was very responsive. We met on a tuesday and the carptet was installed by the end of the week. He understood exactly what we needed and gave us a great price on carpet he already had in stock. We are planning to replace the rest of the carpet in our house and will definitely use 5 Star Flooring.

We are very happy with our new area rug and with our experience with Eric our salesperson. We had used 5 Star before for wall to wall carpeting. We went to their showroom to view samples of carpeting. We brought with us a sample of an area rug from Crate and Barrel and asked Eric to find us similar samples. We took several sample books home. Eric advised he would check on getting the same carpet as the sample we'd brought with us and give us a price. Eric called with a price and said the he was so much higher we'd be better off buying the rug at Crate & Barrel. There were care concerns with the C&B rug so we chose a similar with rug with less care concerns. Eric was very accommodating, honest, and worked hard to help us make a selection were happy with. We'd highly recommend 5 Star.

I called Wednesday and made arrangements for Eric to come out on Friday with samples. He was able to locate the exact match for the carpet that I needed to replace from a few years ago. I selected new vinyl while Eric took measurements . We made arrangements for the installation to be done the following Tuesday. George and team arrived on Tuesday morning and completed the installation in about three hours.

Vendor was excellent. They did everything they promised, has an excellent crew of installers (Ivan & crew) who were polite, courteous, sensitive to our house and were very flexible in dealing with us. I liked the fact that they were so customer oriented and professional. The entire experience was as advertised, with Eric giving us a lot of options on carpeting without any high pressure sales tactics. All schedules were met and the price was as quoted. Great. Erik is very responsive and is my go-to-guy. They have removed and installed carpet and vinyl for me several times.

I originally contrmplated doing this work myself but after seeing the job 5 Star did I am extremely happy I didn't try. Not only did this turn out to be a much more complicated job than I expected, but 5 Star did a muhc, much, better job than I could ever have done. They were professional, pleasant, prompt and did a great job for us.

They were fantastic. We were very undecided about which carpet we wanted, but Andy was very patient with us. He came to our house with carpet samples 3 times I believe, but we were still undecided. At that point we decided to go over to their location to see all samples and pick one. We picked the carpet on a Tuesday and on Thursday they installed it. They worked efficiently and the carpet looks fantastic. Their installers were extremely detail oriented, and we're very happy with the final result. We also really like the actual carpet style they helped us pick, and we're glad that they suggested a low VOC carpet pad. They were also extremely affordable. I would definitely hire them again.

5-Star totally flaked out on us! We called 5-Star (based on high ratings from Angie's List!) about having vinyl and/or carpet installed in our basement. A guy came out to give us an estimate and brought a huge booklet of flooring samples and told us they could start within a few weeks, which was perfect for us. He did lots of measurements and talked us through some things; seemed like a nice guy. Well, they never called us to give us the estimate, nor picked up their fancy-schmancy booklet of floor samples - despite my repeated attempts to reach them, and despite the fact that they knew we we'd gotten several estimates and were waiting on theirs. I don't know if they forgot about it, or just dropped off the earth, or what. Whatever the reason, it seemed really unprofessional. Would not recommend.

The project went well overall... the carpet we originally ordered arrived with a problem with the backing. Due to time constraints we couldn't wait for another shipment and had to choose another carpet... they found us a like-quality carpet from stock and had it installed on time.

Thankfully, they were able to stretch it. Mike, the installer, showed up early and was very professional. He was impressed with the quality of carpet installed previously by another company. I would highly recommend them.

company rep Eric was on time and knowledgeable. needed to match carpet for one room as close in weave and color as adjacent room.he made several follow up calls to notify me that installers would be later than scheduled.he also followed up to ensure they arrived.

The last step in a complete guest bedroom remodel was to lay new carpet. Andy, George and their installers couldn't have been easier to work with. Even though this was a relatively small (test) project of about 1800 square feet, we were treated as though the job was important to them and accorded professional service throughout the process. Working with 5 Star Flooring was an exceptional experience in a day when many companies have agendas that are less than ethical and far from professional. Although the previous remodel to this room was a disaster, the bedroom now pleases both of us. When we get around to upstairs, we will call Andy again.

I found 5 Star on Angie's list and called them for a bid. Eric came out when he said he would and took measurements and I picked out the carpet and vinyl. They were the lowest bid and we hired them for the job. Harry arrived on a Saturday to install both carpet and vinyl and he did a great job. He even cleaned and vacuumed after the install, which we were quite pleased about. We will definitely use them again...very professional.

Came on short notice. Was punctual and performed the work in 20 minutes. Finished work looked great. Will use again.

5 Star Flooring did an excellent job from start to finish. Andy was very friendly and professional through the estimate process. The carpet installers were also friendly and competent, and the installation was done very well and expeditiously in just two days. They knew we had a move in deadline and worked hard to complete the job before that time. (And did!) The vinyl flooring addition to the bathrooms was a bit of an afterthought, and 5 Star was able to accommodate us with very little notice and at reasonable cost.

They were very professional. They were great about getting the carpet in when we wanted it because we were on a time crunch for that. They got it in, came out earlier than expected to do the work and got the work done very quickly. There was a little hitch while they were putting the carpet; they realized that they were putting in the wrong carpet pad so they switched half way through, which was my only disappointment but that was a mistake and they put the correct carpet pad in the rest of the way. It has been laid very well and seems to be holding up well. I would use them again in the future.

Made an appt with Andy Anderson over the phone for an estimate. He ended up not being able to make it before we had to leave for the day. We knew he had an appt before ours but it turns out they were an elderly couple with lots of questions so Andy stayed to answer them all. I found that to be commendable & a good thing in this day and age! We rescheduled for the next day. He was on time, brought samples of the type of carpet we were looking for, was informative and a nice guy. He measured the rooms, wrote up his estimate, explained everything, answered all our questions . He was the 5th company we spoke to and had the best price for the best product. He was very down to earth with no bull. We make our decision that evening and the 2-member team came out the following week and did a beautiful job. We LOVE our new carpet! Great job! Perfect installation. Very quick - about 3 hours. We will use them again when we do our family room!

I found this company through their good ratings on Angie's List when I needed to have new carpet installed in my house. I worked with Andy and he was friendly, responsive and timely. He brought samples to my house several times and worked with me to find the perfect quality of carpet that we were looking for (we wanted something that was good quality and felt nice). My biggest disappointment came when the carpet showed up. I realized quickly that the carpet was NOT up to the standard of carpet that I thought I was paying for. I called Andy and he came in a timely manner to my house. After looking at the carpet, he too stated that he thought the carpet was not what he thought it would be. He took a sample of the carpet to his supplier and told me they would get back to me (by this time most of the house had been carpeted and all the old carpet was gone.) After a couple weeks Andy called me and told me the carpet that was installed in my house was indeed not what I had originally looked at and ordered. Apparently the mistake was made on the distributor's end. Andy asked if I wanted him to make the distributor re-carpet my house (I told him it would be too much of an imposition and would take another couple of weeks of my time.) He then asked what I think we should do. When I told him I did NOT want to pay the extra money for what was supposed to be nice quality upgraded carpet, he brought the bill down to what would be comparable to the carpet that was installed in my house. In the end, did we get new carpet? Yes. Did we get the carpet we wanted and what we ordered? No. Are we disappointed? Yes. Friends who wanted to use this company as well, told us they did not think 5 Star Flooring remedied the mistake as well as they could have. True, it may not have been their mistake, but in the end, they were left with a very disappointed customer all the same.

The install team (2 people) arrived on time on date expected. The entire project took about 3 hours to complete (removing old carpet, some floor prep, and installing new carpet). They did a great job installing the carpet and were able to install it as expected. The final product looks very good and we are happy with the results. The only qualms I have are minor. First, we noticed a small ding in our new freezer after the job was completed. The freezer was in the garage next to where carpet folks passed by. It is cosmetic and certainly no way to tell how it got there. Again, not a big deal. The other item is that 5 Star has an Angie's List coupon currently discounting at Contractor pricing. I contacted them about getting the coupon discount as their invoice did not include any. They ended up giving just $10 off the entire bill, which isn't a whole lot and certainly not what a true contractor would get. So I wouldn't expect much from this coupon if you're planning on using it for any significant discount. But their prices overall were very good and work was excellent.
